- Is Cooper Flagg ACTUALLY Worth Tanking For?
We know all too well that the NBA is cyclical. Every year around this time, even the most casual basketball fans start hearing about those prospects who come in ready to save the league's worst franchises. But the truth is that in some cases we start hearing these names even earlier. Wemby is the most recent case that serves as an example, and Cooper Flagg will probably be the next.
"Cooper Flagg is a once-in-a-generation talent here in Maine. He's the best overall player-offensively and defensively-that I've ever coached against. His basketball IQ and maturity for a 15-year-old are truly something special."
The forward is now just 17 years old, and his name has been popping up in mock drafts for a long time. Coincidentally, most people who have studied his style of play in depth have used the word "special" to describe him. However, with the growing pool of talent that populates the NBA each season… is it safe to say that Flagg is a player worth tanking for? Or in other words... is Flagg really a player a franchise is willing to sacrifice their future for?

I’ve seen him play quite a few games now and he cannot score outside the paint consistently. He looks great now because he’s bigger faster and stronger than everybody. I don’t know how he’ll do at the next level.

I want Cooper Flagg on the OKC Thunder. That would make the Thunder a dynasty in the making. To be honest in the next couple drafts France has a bunch of highly rated prospects coming which Victor might have played with and or he knows them. I think that would make Victor happy and the Spurs love drafting Europeans and making them superstars.
He would fit next to wemby..then again anyone would especially with talent...they also have the hawks pick
its just Mike Miller 2.0, he looks impressive playing against 6ft nobodies but that game will not translate well to nba
So when Flagg pretty much dominated AJ Dybansta , Cameron Boozer , Tyrann Stokes , whos just as tall long athletic and great as Flagg is. You talk but didn't give any reasons why you say he won't translate to the nba. Flagg is to great on defense that alone will make him very valuable plus he has handles , passing , shooting , post game , he's a leader and a winner. He's a shorter Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren he will fill up the stat sheets on offense and defense.
Miller was a bucket in his prime...legit 4th option on a title team caliber talent..3rd option on a west or east finals team worthy
