He just played against the Olympic team as part of the select team. He was put on the practice team to push the nba all star Olympic team in practice, as a 17 year old who hasn’t played so much as one college games. And from all accounts of the scouts, coaches, and players who attended these workouts. He dominated and stole the show. He was the talk of the Olympic basketball team camp. This kid is for real.
lol he didn't dominate anything. made some nice plays but didn't "dominate". Also they always put a high schooler on the USA team not a big deal. I'm not sold on the hype yet he's not some freak athlete. Looks like a dollar store brand of Jayson Tatum.
@@bayodamandollar store Tatum at 17 means he'll be Tatum's daddy at 22
@@SeedRamples your are real slow. Tatum a top 10 player in the league. That kid would be lucky if he was anything like Tatum. Every NBA player looks like a freak in HS not moved like I said from dollar store Tatum.
@@bayodaman are you dumb why would they "always" put a high schooler on a team that's supposed to train the olympic team? they don't make exceptions like that. cooper flagg is just that good
@@JamesBuddell-fn6bz The best part is the Olympic team put their best defender on him and he was doing his thing they tried to send a message to him but he said Nah not today
7'4" wingspan at 6'9" with 40" vertical. Forget the color of his skin. The kid is a top-tier athlete with NBA size and athleticism. RARE defensive instincts make him a generational talent.
Color of his skin doesn’t matter he is a hooper
Bro, nobody brought up the colour of his skin. You think people talk about the colour of Jokic or Doncic? What matters is if he can hoop, not if he's white, black, or asian.
I played against Lenny Cooke in a hs summer league and expected him to have a ridiculous amount of success. Never would've expected what actually happened to him. He was hitting threes from 5 feet beyond the arc, windmilling and 360 dunking in game. And then nothing. Sometimes a boatload of talent only goes so far if an athlete can't get their sh*t together off court. I hope Cooper keeps his ego in check, good people in his circle and stays humble
This was a great take💯
That's because you can't judge talent. Windmilling, whatever that is, and 360 dunking are nothing. Now stick to what you know OK? Good.
@@Melody615199999you don’t know what a windmill is commenting on a basketball video and told him to stick to what he knows? Okay 😭
@@Melody615199999 Nah Lenny Cooke was low key him, I'm pretty sure LBJ and Melo were ranked under him
He is a Mainer, I have no doubt he will stay humble
Would be the number 1 pick in this upcoming draft as a 17 year old .
Can't wait to see him in NBA .. What a player still in the making ..
Bro, I was so shocked to learn that you are such a new channel. I was so glued to the video, highkey made me feel like I was watching a million-dollar channel with a crazy good research team 😭😭 Keep this up bruh!!
I appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed the video and stay tuned for more🏀
@@HoopDungeonwhat’s the background music you use?
High key? Ok Timmy
I hope he does well. Seems like a good kid from the interviews I've seen. Doesn't showboat and doesn't talk trash. He just plays hard every play.
I saw this kid play live. Incredible talent ! A game changer.
or maybe just another Gordon Hayward xD
@@coops1992gee thanks for that amazing insight

generational talent from maine!!! as a sport card collector itll be cool to collect a fellow mainer
Good video but you missed a crucial thing prob the thing that really put him on the map as a potential #1 pick. The FIBA U17 where he was possibly the best player on the team as a 15 yeaar old
This kid does it all,he's not like Luka ,this kid is a great shot blocker and defender and he's a high flyer, his athletism is off the charts, believe me he will be great
Let’s be real he won’t be as good as Luka that’s just unrealistic
Luka ain’t no Larry Bird that’s for sure.. Let Cooper Flagg be himself! You sitting there down talking a 17 year old kid! I mean obviously look in the mirror and be a better version of yourself instead of trolling a child

Cooper is amazing for sure!
He is Jason Tatum in HS and has great work ethic like Jason. I think that will be a great benchmark for his development.
xD Jason Tatum + Gordon Hayward
@@coops1992😂😂😂 I'm dying here. 👀
*Jayson Tatum and he plays nothing like him or Kidd or comment is a joke.
There's a media cycle that needs to be perpetuated. There's always the next great player. Because we love the story and they need the clicks.
People need to be kept distracted from the real issues
or because new players come every year. every great player has been called “the next great player” since pro basketball came along. y’all have got to get some perspective. none of this is new.
I'm sure they're covering the white kid from Maine (with a twin that barely gets covered) over the Boozer twins because of *****perpetrating news and not because of his ridiculous talent, really sounds like 'they're' really doing it for the clicks.
This guy is coming to break the NBA record.
Watching Bball for many years I feel this kid is going to be special. Lakers need him
More likely the Pistons
I would say every team needs him
Saw him on TV a few times and went to a tourney with Monteverde, Luhi, Brewster back in Feb at Hofstra. There were 10 future NBA players (projected), he was the best on the floor by a wide margin
Anyone else come here after the Nets just got their picks back?
Me lol
I came here after reading Brooklyn Nets wants to tank the 2024/25 season to draft him.
@@dominiclee5786 only to lose the draft lottery

Hes looks like the real deal. Very mature style of play
Imagine Cooper Flagg play San Antonio Spurs INSANE DUO Victor Wenbamyama DAMN
Hopefully Atlanta has a horrible season again since we got their pick
As a suns fans I believe this is going to happen. Spurs getting the 2025 number 1 pick
Cooper Flagg Is Going To Chicago Bulls
Developed faster than everyone else but who knows how much more potential the kid has lol. So much hype and not a single second played after high school
This is a very good unbiased commentary on a once in a lifetime basketball talent. I was looking all through this video to hear something that was a bias or an opinion and not a fact like I have heard in other videos of this nature and I couldn't find one. I would have to rate this an A+! Great job!
And now bro's casually having a practice with Bron, AD, Steph, Booker, KD, Jrue and many more at USB Camp 💀
He would be a perfect fit for Portland. Something tells me though that the Spurs will “somehow” win the lottery again and grab this kid to team up with Wemby.
He’s an athletic Larry Bird 😂😂😂 this shit is not fair bruh
How crazy to be that big at that age is just nuts
I can’t wait too see him in a Duke uniform. It’s gonna be like the good old days. Just wish Coach K. Was there to guide him.
Yeah i believe so but until proven in the land of bigs. Just many hyped players who were when in the primary league falls away. Hope he maintains his health
I feel as if there are more moose than people -- north of Augusta, Maine.
Take a ride up Maine 27 past Carrabasset towards Quebec and you will feel exactly what I am talking about.
Major Andrei Kirilenko vibes
Andrei would tear up today's NBA.
the next Gordon Hayward lol

Coby White And Ayo Dosunmu Say Hello To Your Next Year Future Chicago Bull Cooper Flagg
Yo this is a good channel!
You can be that DUKE's Strength & Conditioning staff is going to spend lots of time beefing him up so he can be more competitive against big college players.
Duke is a great choice for him. One of the best schools to get a solid basketball education that will either get you ready for the pros, or show you that you might want to think about a different profession. With his skillset, he should be a great college player for them and it will give him the best chance to take the next step after that.
The assist ratio should be off the charts, which will serve well in NBA.
He is gonna be a future NBA superstar! Cooper Flagg is going to Duke, so he will dominate the game in the next level once he gets to the NBA.
I've been following him since his mid freshman year quite the talent and he's a good kid hope he does well I'm sure he will
He’s yet to see what real contact is in college and playing against mature players that can lock him down. He could be a force in year two but will be a one and done. These young players can dominate in high school but college and NBA are what makes or breaks them.
Unfortunately for him, he did not grow up in Europe, where from the age of 15/16 he would have already trained and played with experienced pro players.
Love as a mainer he represents. Also having my number haha
Duke has always had the great prospects in their history.....they also have history on their side for as many NBA #1ST Round BUSTS as well. As of today you never even heard Barrett's name anymore, same with Zion Williamson go back to the Christian Leattner/Grant Hill days.
I like this kid. rooting for him this 2025 draft.
COUPE DEVILLE at it again!
He is smooth......and very talented young man...
Cooper FLagg: 16.5 ppg in highschool. this currently projects to drop at Duke and should fall under the following list: Kyrie Irving 17.5 ppg, Jabari Parker 19 ppg, Jayston Tatum 16.8 ppg, RJ Barrett, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram
He’s pro ready now
I hope it works out, some have had this much hype and it didn’t pan out.
Many unfortunately
He plays team ball, hustles on defense and is smart. I’d say his upside is pretty high.
He is unique, he is going to be like a mix of Kirilenko and Lauri, which would be an absolute superstar prospect (yes, I went with white comps, but he really is like a taller, or athletic Kiri on D).
He's In Next Year NBA Draft Class
Duke's going to be a National Championship contender next season!
To be that tall and already has his coordination is crazy at that age .
Please Come To Chicago Bulls Cooper Flagg Because Chicago Bulls Got A Number 40 In The Chicago Bulls Jersey For You
LOL, it was so ridiculous that they had them playing in masks! Such mind-blowing idiocy!
Omg I was just going to comment about that. Wow.. Hahaha crazies.
@@curtmorrison5135 It's so ridiculous. They're running around top speed, huffing and puffing, sweating all over, and somehow masks are supposed to do something. That was a wild fucking year, man.
Such a mind-blowingly idiotic comment.
I feel like he’s going to be another guy who falls victim to all the hype. Good College player Average Pro
what makes you think that?
@@chuckbarkley2182because this has happened before? Many times
Nah man
Don’t think so
@@chuckbarkley2182he’s white. Typical white prospect that folds when he plays real athletic players next level they will eat him alive in 2025
It remains to be seen whether or not he can play in the professional leagues, plenty of people who were generational talents in college ball didn't dominate at the same level in the NBA. Christian Laettner was the one college player on the Dream Team and he was an All-Star just once with no championships, which is good, but its not necessarily what you'd expect if college success translated to professional success. JJ Redick had a very good college career and a very unremarkable NBA career, same with Doug McDermott, Frank Kaminsky etc.
He's A Future Chicago Bull
First time I seen this guy. Havent been on top of basketball for few years now. This guy looks legit. Just needs to get stronger and few more pounds so he doesn't get pushed around in the NBA. Staying slim will be his true game being agile and quick burst.
Go Duke!!!
We need that young man in Bucks!!!
Yep, get rid of Dame and get this dude
bucks not lottery team...
@@coops1992 No way…you meant to say get rid of Middleton or Beasley 🤦🏾♂️
Spurs need to keep tanking to get him in 25.
After playing actual NBA stars in USA training camp. I would say he would definitely dominate College.
He's absolutely got the skills, talent and attitude, but let's be blunt here. A lot of the hype Cooper Flagg is getting is because he's the best white American prospect since probably Larry Bird. His hype is definitely bigger than Kevin Love's was, and Love has had a tremendous career in high school, college and the NBA. As a basketball fan, I'm excited to watch this guy. He will definitely bring in a certain type of new basketball fan, and, personally, I'm eager to meet and welcome them.
He also has the entire state of Maine behind him
the league needs a great white player imo, american born one tho, hoping its reed for rockets
His back spin is slower for being a great shooter ... be curious to see if that changes. An 8 foot floater is one thing, but even his three's don't seem to have a crisp back spin.
Are you serious? Are you a professional coach or a former NBA player? I mean he’s a kid 17! Comment more positively on the future of American Sports! You gonna tell a kid at 17 that he can’t be a doctor because he types with two fingers or are you gonna teach him how to type? Maybe you should get a job coaching but make sure you get some training first. Being a human comes first! Being a professional is secondary! Think about your contributions towards someone’s success and not their demise!
Can handle the ball and shoot it well enough. Hes going to be a stud in college and if he gets off to a good start he’ll have a great NBA career.
He’s handle isn’t that good and he can’t really shoot of the dribble and he also can’t really creator his own shot at all but hopefully that changes
Tom Chambers?
Is this isn't even a slight.
Tom Chambers was a bucket and used to put up nearly 30PPG in The League.
Let's see what he does at DOOK.
I am a UNC alum.
Duke? Breaks my heart. Lol
I’m seeing so much hate on this dude he’s still young
if it aint that much competition in maine how come it was his schools first highschool championship?
His shot is spotty and so is his handle. He will be another RJ Barrett that may be able to defend.
RJ Barrett with elite defense is amazing though.
Why are people so ignorant? I do t understand the people who comment on a video that they literally didn’t actually watch or listen to. Great job on this video. Great intro to Cooper!
Most players being hyped by vloggers and media were not seen in popular in NBA today
He's Going To Duke University
Unless you’re Lebron James, how good you are in high school means nothing as it pertains to your hypothetical NBA career.
Or Kobe. Or KG. Or..
Cooper Flag is what people in HSM thought Troy Bolton was 😭
This is an underrated comp.
Sorry for the comparison, but Cooper moves remind me of Larry Bird. Please remember, I was the first to notice.
Cooper Flagg can be a flopped or star.

Williamson hype was high.
So is Bagley.
And Barrett.
But all come back down especially Bagley

Good luck cooper👍
As a Carolina fan I still wish the best for Coop. Awesome Player. but UNC vs DUKE time im sorry we are RIVALS
A young Larry Bird reincarnated. Bird averaged 31 points, 21 rebounds, and 4.0 assists as a high school senior on his way to becoming Indiana's Mr. Basketball in 1974.
Coopers all around game is far above that of Duncan Robinson, look forward to seeing Coop play at Duke, then the NBA
I’m not sure if he’ll be a great perimeter defender, but he can be a great team defender.
When Cooper gets drafted, he gets to the Spurs will be unstoppable with Wembanyama and Cooper
That s if the spurs get another number 1 pick
Wembanyama is 7'4 u have no idea what injuries he can sustain

Uhhh there's no one from Maine actually, I'm from Maine, Duncan Robinson is from New Hampshire. He may have been born in Southern Maine but he lived in New Hampshire and played all of his basketball there or elsewhere so he's about as much from Maine as Caron Butler's crazy story moving to Maine for high school, like he was there but not long.
this prospect is consistently getting 5+ Assists, 3+ blocks, 2+ steals and 6+ rebounds. how in the world!? only tim duncan can do that.
I am not familiar with American college basketball. Can anyone tell me why college teams are interested in NBA prospects who will probably only play one year of college?
