      France is a crossroad between Spain, Italy, Germany, England... we had many colonies... it makes an amazing culture mixup ! I think rugby shows it the most with the famous "french flair" ... / The amount of high skilled football players is insane ! In the last worldcup, the city who "raised" the most players was Paris by far... (some players go play for their parents origin country..)

    7:10 bruh, americans didn't even understand that they proved his point, he never said that the usa weren't world champions, they are, they proved it by winning, he said the celtics (or the nuggets at the time) weren't world champions, he never said anything about team usa, americans are so up in their own head it's too funny that they can't understand what lyles said, they just thought he was dissing the usa even though he said he loved his country and he represents it
    liked the vid nonetheless, doesn't take away from it but that comment wasn't necessary, there's also a few things left out from the history of france, like the fact that basketball was already a thing before tony parker, I mean they won a silver medal in 2000 which was before the tony parker era, in fact, france never won anything at the olympics with parker in it, there's also the change that happened after the group stage ended with fournier and the head coach coming to a disagreement that led to them becoming better, still it was a good recap and tackled the important things about the current france's basketball situation

      @@rayouzbi903 I think lyles point was about representing your country, he would pobably consider team usa world champion even if it's the olympics, saying they're not would go into semantics territory and that just makes you look petty cause at this point you're just hating for the sake of it, I know the world champions are "technically" germany but like come on, the olympics are the same rules, same format, still countries vs countries and viewed as the biggest achievement in basketball, granted americans (from the usa) don't understand how big it is cause they've won it too often but once they start losing it once or twice they'll start to understand, with the diminishing amount of top talent in the usa and the emergence of talent in other countries especially france it's only a matter of time

    • @Clery75019
      @Clery75019 19 дней назад +1

      @@julesm5892 Lyles point was simply that you can only become world champion in a competition that involves the whole world. Real Madrid is certainly the best soccer club in the world but considering only European clubs are eligible to the Champions League, the club can't pretend to be more than only European champion.

    • @julesm5892

    Bonjour.
    I know that some ignorant and arrogant US people will make fun of it, but whether they like it or not, the gap between the best possible US NBA and WNBA teams and the best European teams is always narrowing from competition to competition.
    The time is long gone when the USA could send a team of students to win, then after that was no longer enough, send a NBA team, then that was no longer enough, the best possible NBA team.
    So yes the first time it worked, the Dream Team of the 1990s still easily dominated the European teams. But that was also "before". Now the best possible US NBA teams have no more margins and win with difficulty and on the edge vs the best European teams.
    Why has France made such enormous progress in the last 15 years?
    It's simple, it woke up in international basketball under the light of its first international prodigy who was Tony Parker (French-US parents ^^) that's true!
    Consequence, as it did before with great global successes, for Football ("soccer" for you), for Handball, for Volleyball, etc teams sports..., France and the French Basketball Federation decided about 15 years ago (it's not much but when the French decide to seriously put their strength and know-how to achieve a goal, progress and then very good results come quickly) a very high-level professional organization, from basic training in its clubs, through the identification of the best young nationals and their training at the very high level, to ultimately have Men's and Women's National Teams (don't forget that your US WNBA team also played vs France in the PARIS 2024 Olympic final and it was played by a hair's breadth 67-66!) who will play the leading world roles first, to ultimately win international titles, because that's the final goal...
    And it's not a small short-term plan, but a big long-term one, to get to the men's and women in the world TOP 3 and especially stay there, to ultimately win world titles and Olympic Gold medals because that is the final goal.
    The proof again this summer 2024 with the 6 European youth championships for men and women!
    6 Euro finals for young men and women this summer 2024, France has been in the final of 5 out of 6 and has won 4 out of 5 (losing the 5th final by 2 points only) !!!!
    U16 Women -> France Finalist / U16 Men -> France Winner
    U18 Women -> France Winner / U18 Men -> France only 5th ooops the accident. ^^
    U20 Women -> France Winner / U20 Men -> France Winner
    In total for the 6 French youth men's and women's teams, that makes 39 victories out of 42 matches!
    Sorry but "What else?" as says Georges ^^ 💪
    To return to Olympics PARIS 2024, honestly I didn't see France men in the final (the women yes on the other hand ^^), I saw 3 or 4 stronger teams.
    But as is often the case with the French, you should never bet vs them before the fight begins...
    So I'm very happy with this Silver medal at PARIS 2024, especially in a beautiful final lost vs the best possible US NBA team in the last 3 or 4 minutes really and on 3x3 points shots from the genius Stephen Curry!
    So yes I confirm to you with certainty, in 4 years at LA 2028 Team France will be (much) stronger than that of PARIS 2024...
    It will have integrated the years before the young generation of current gifted players but still too young for PARIS 2024, who will therefore have 4 more years of work, progress and experience and for several in the NBA, and will be led by a Wemby who is also even stronger than currently.
    And the average age of Team France in 2028 will only be 24-25 years old, so it will not be over yet with this generation of gifted players.
    In LA 2028 I'm not saying that France will win Gold medal, but I'm saying with certainty that it will come to Los Angeles to win Gold medal this time.
    See you in 4 years... 🙂

      mon reuf, crois moi t'as pas envie de voir 12 jeunes sur le terrain, c'est la recette parfaite pour l'échec, surtout killian hayes, j'aime pas le joueur il apporte rien qu'on a pas déjà avec frank par exemple, certes ils auront tous aux alentours de 23-24 ans et quelques années en nba mais c'est pas suffisant, il faut des tontons, on l'a vu avec batum tout au long et de colo en final
      Et puis je sais pas si t'es au courant mais gershon,cordinier et mattias ils sont pas si vieux que ca ils ont encore largement 4 ans dans les pattes, je crois que gershon a meme pas 30 ans et c'etait clairement notre meilleur joueur cette année

      Des sites Français ont fait de même et franchement sur le papier en l’état actuel il y a match vu que les meilleurs joueurs Américains de 2024 ne seront plus là dans 4 ans.

    France has the best atheletes from Africa...these Caucasian French women marry black men from Africa and produce quality atheletes...or many of the atheletes come from Africa still under the French Regime (and then they are French)...
