Léon has become a national treasure/icon in 4 races, the whole nation knows & loves him since . He's a lovely dude, charismatic, humble and quite reserved. Well bred too, always has nice words for his fans. He's now back in Toulouse for training, before going back the the States in January. On t'aime Léon ♥

The 200m Fly is even better on this broadcast because you can actually hear the crowd so much, on the French broadcast the commentary is insane but the crowd sound is not as clear
So true, I love the French broadcast with Alex Boyon and Camille Lacourt (who's basically guessed the race's strategy from the start) but the crowd is just something else here, it gives me chills everytime !
@@elronjonmagsisi207 It sounds weird because he edited his comment. He was asking why Milak didn't race the 100 fly. That's why I replied "(Milak) did and won the race."
Milak started training in January, he completely let go of last year as well, his father also died. If Milák is in 100 percent form, the French have no chance
Funny, been watching those races a few times but just spotted this (probably not the first one). At 29:12 (arrival of 200 Medley, 4th win) starts by doing the ASU hand sign (Fork up) that he’s done so often in NCAA meets over the last 3 years, then switches to number 4.

At 7:00 you can see that he doesn't start exhaling on breaststroke until his hands begin to sweep outward. I think this keeps him more buoyant as he drives the head and hands forward on the recovery and then presses downward on his chest in order to raise his hips. He rides that buoyancy back to the surface before he begins the next pull, and this keeps him higher in the water throughout.

Realistically, he could go for Brisbane. He will be 30, and should still have things to give. Let's hope but not expect, though.

When Marchand hit that long underwater on the 200 fly last 50, we knew he was gonna pass
in a 25m long pool, we wouldn't have seen his head above 😅
