Surprisingly, I was actually choosing between the original 800NK & the Suzuki GSX-8S last year. Value wise, the NK was so much cheaper than the 8S except, it didn’t come with TC even on the advanced version. It came with everything else except that. I thought with more power than the Suzuki, it should have come with TC standard. Now they have it but I now have the 8S instead 🤦‍♂️
Resale valve will be the next potential issue…
So far, the Suzuki has been completely flawless. Quick shifter works amazing. TC control is completely adjustable & even after switching the engine off, it remembers all the settings beforehand.
Thanks again for your videos & you ride perfectly. Just remember to keep your foot on the rear brake to stop yourself going over backwards.😉

Thank you! I didn’t have a chance to try GSX 8s in Qingdao, but if it would be available it would cost twice as much as NK800, so for me choice is obviously NK, recently I got myself an 8 months old 800NK for 4.500$ and it’s really fun, so I was very curious to check this new TC version!
Thank you for reminding me about the foot brake! I try to keep it in mind, hope I’ll not loop the bike🤜🤛

The big dash is the reason I bought it :))) I love it, some riders love it big others small 🤣🤣 At the begining because I came from 450NK, I felt it heavy, now 1 month later, I love it, I find it very easy to handle it in trafic as well, love the cruise control, you have enough power between your legs on it, to fly with it if you put some wings 🤗🤗 and honestly I love the way rider lloks on this bike, watching myself in the mirrors of the shops while I am riding it 🤣🤣 Ride safe!

Great you got your 800, I’ve just sold mine, and it was a hard decision, I think this is the best Chinese bike to the date, just pay attention to the radiator, this is where they might have problems! In China Big dash and small dash NK come equipped with the same things, like quick shifter and stuff, and it was a bit lighter, I personally prefer small dash, but it’s a meter of taste. I think the old NK is a treasure and you will have great time with it! If you measure 0-100 acceleration please let me know, I’m dead curious 😂! Ride safe 🤜🤛

I'm captivated by the vibrant, informative dashes adorning cars and bikes; they truly elevate the experience. The aesthetic appeal is simply fantastic. Sacrificing a bit of nimbleness for additional dashboard space doesn't bother me; especially for a bike like this, designed for extensive travel. Integrated on-screen navigation eliminates the hassle of mounting a phone and the worry of it being stolen or falling off. Also nice video as always 😍

I can’t say, I have an old NK800 as well, and I wanted to buy a new one, but I didn’t want 8inch dash… I want to test ride new 5inch dash NK with a simple TC to see whether I like it more. I will say the new NK is more pleasant to ride in a city, throttle isn’t jerky/twitchy, but as I’ve mentioned in the video, when it comes to the top result in acceleration, the old NK was much faster in my case, easier to access the power. New NK wants to wheelie even more than before, so it’s more fun but less efficient!

@@eddywave3315 Thanks. I hope that they arrive here in Europe early next year. I took the current one for a spin and the initial throttle response at low speed was too jerky for my liking. I’m hoping the new version will be smoother, and it seems like it is, from your reporting. @@savvasCHg In the meantime, I have been able to test some naked motorbikes (including KTM Duke 790 and 990, BMW F900R, Yamaha MT-09, Suzuki GSX-8S/R, Honda CB660R and Triumph Trident 660), and so far the NK800 is still on my short list, but now accompanied by the Suzuki 8R (looks and body position is better, but it lacks cruise control and proper IMU) and the Yamaha MT-09 (which for a bit more money offers a lot more power, much better handling and throttle feel, as well as great electronics package). Still, waiting till the beginning of 2025 for CF Moto to bring the new NK800 to Europe (my only gripe remains the relative lack of good servicing network).

Thanks for the review. I think the TC perhaps lacks some of the refinement we’ve come to expect riding Japanese bikes. I think the Chinese bikes are giving us excellent power for the cost but don’t seem to be as refined or as well calibrated as their Japanese counterparts. Little things that add up. I guess decades of making motorcycles makes a difference. My own experience with my QJ 550 is that I love the power for the price, but some small issues in fueling and handling are more noticeable the longer I ride it. My humble Suzuki 250 is slow but does what you expect every time. I like not having surprises when I’m riding to get somewhere not just for fun.

Thank you as always for sharing 🤝
I would say TC isn’t bad, after all It didn’t allow me to loop the bike, but acceleration wise the throttle isn’t as predictable as before, the old NK’s throttle is very similar to KTM790 Duke, but Duke has TC, so I expected it to be the same as before but with TC! I tried so many times, and yet my 0-100 result isn’t anywhere close to the old 800NK. But I will say, it feels better if you don’t need top acceleration) it’s more pleasant to ride, especially in a city. I know that many people got killed or injured the riding previous model, that’s why CFmoto made it safer this time, I want to try the other 5inch dash NK to see how different it is.

Ok I just understood that a new version of NK 800 will be released with the CT and the AW. But logically it just had to be done with an update. And here in France no one knows if the update will be available for old NK 800s or if you will have to buy a new NK 800 (sport or advanced) in a few months. I hope that CF moto will not take advantage of this to sell us a more expensive motorcycle with the CT and EA

    • @eddywave3315
      @eddywave3315  6 месяцев назад +1

This is a new model! Now you can’t get an old 800NK from the showroom. They change many things here, TC from Bosch and cornering ABS, the throttle isn’t twitchy as I said. And there are two options 8inch and 5inch, but this time 8inch one, has Bosch TC, while 5inch has quite simple TC (this is what I’ve been told by the CFmoto staff). So yeah, if you want that, you need to get a new bike. BTW 5inch NK800 got 500$ cheaper, but as I said, 0-100km/h acceleration wise it’s slower with me riding…

don't get a duke 890/990 then lol they are torque monsters.
if you want something powerful but calm, i'd say hornet 750 or gsx-8s.

@@donderstorm1845 nah, those are kids toys… it’s not the power/torque that’s a problem… this bike is just unstable… I ride mostly mountain twisties here in China and the nk800 is very hard to predict, it just feels loose… I used to ride an S1000RR and a Ducati monster before coming to China, but i never felt so unsafe before… I guess if you put a proper set of tires on the nk it might make things a bit better but you will never feel fully in control of this bike.

The KTM 790 is notoriously "unstable" too. Part of the platform CFMoto inherited.
