Uma Thurman is an amazing actress. she really sold it here. you could feel the sadness, releif, anger and motherly instinct. amazing performance
I've never been and am still not really fan of Western films (Western as in Western world) but I think I'd regard Thurman as my favourite actress bar none.

Poor Beatrix, she was so astonished and crying that she saw her daughter who is alive, but the look of rage and anger against Bill left me with goosebumps, her look said "Your time to die will come"
yeah my mum was in tears when i asked her to watch it with me the first time
Not to nitpick, but I feel like there was a missed opportunity to Place the scene with Beatrix and Nikki at the end of the movie. Because looking back, reactions to seeing her daughter alive, would actually hold so much more when you think about it. she’s not only shocked to know that her daughter is alive, but now she has something to lose. Which means that she’ll probably be spending the rest of her life with her daughter running away or training her to become just like her, which is something that she tried to stay away from in order to give her a normal life.

Fast forward to Bill saying "for the record letting someone think that someone they love is dead when they're not is quite cruel."
That’s exactly why he hid her. As revenge. So fuckeddd 😵💫
@@xochitlbk oh damn man i watched this fuckin movie so many damn times and never even put those things together 🤦♂️
Yeah this logic doesn't quite work because Bill told their daughter she was asleep (not dead) asked presumably took her to the hospital. He also didn't have her killed in the hospital as a mark of respect and to give her the opportunity to come back if she woke up.
Which is different to Bill who was left to believe she was dead and had to track her down himself afterwards.
@@GKFC You're forgetting that when Beatrix found out she was pregnant in the motel, an assassin came to kill her but ended up sparing her life after finding out she was pregnant. Once Beatrix found out she was going to be a mother she went into hiding, leaving Bill to think she died that night at the motel.
This is what Bill is referring to when he says "for the record letting someone think that someone they love is dead when they're not is quite cruel."
I haven't forgotten anything, I know that's what Bill is referring.
What I'm saying is the original comment seems to imply some sort of contradiction here when there wasn't.
Beatrix deliberately deceived Bill to hide the pregnancy and made him think she was dead.
Bill didn't hide BB from Beatrix, nor did she try to convince BB that her mother was dead only that she was sleeping.
So again the logic doesn't really work.
Just now realizing the daughter is named bb since both her parents initial’s are b
She’s also a non lethal, yet still painful weapon to be used against Beatrix, a BB (gun).
@Jarred Knox-Neyhart-May Lmao who hurt you, Jarred?
@Jarred Mello-Neyhart-May where tf did you get that fuckin nonsense from?
@Jarred Mello-Neyhart-May its literally played out in the scene through the fake gun play representing BB pellets....
Y R hey yes true, her name has the two initials of those who were lovers apart from being murderers, a beautiful name for the beautiful daughter of Beatrix
The fact that Tarantino, a guy who claimed he has nothing to do with children and parenthood and got married only in his 60s, a guy who I thought is emotionally detached from such simple things like loving a child, knew very well how a Mother would feel and managed to convey those feelings. He is not an empath, but a genius indeed
I mean, he did have a whole ass mother to play the role
Too bad he hates his own mother with a passion, what a genius!
@@vb8428 I don’t know anything about that, this is the first I’m hearing this, but coming from someone who has an abusive parent not all parents deserve to be loved
I don't think he embodied those emotions I think Uma did.
@@trexwilliams9073 of course Uma did a great job, but the scenario was written by Tarantino and this scene and the scene where Beatrix decided to quit her job and start a normal life the moment she found out she is pregnant was directed by Tarantino. Also that woman-to-woman conversation Beatrix had with the assassin girl...I mean I'm surprised all these dialogues, scenes and emotions regarding motherly instincts were conceived by an emotionally distant man
Powerful scene full of mixed feelings. That's why Tarantino is such a genius.
@Jarred Knox-Neyhart-May well in Tarantino case I think most people agree he is, not just for this scene but for his whole Filmography.
He's ok, but I don't like his super over use of dialogue, in too many of his movies
@@jdorffer Yeah, he does overdo it like in The Hateful Eight.
@@jdorffer that’s really more of a preference than a deciding factor of whether or not he’s objectively good at filmmaking.
@Jarred Mello-Neyhart-May definitely not millions a year. And the vast majority that do it, don’t execute with such great cinematography, editing, writing nor have actors this good. That is why his movies are more popular than the thousands a year with the same budgets as him…
All these years, Beatrix thought her daughter BB was a stillborn after the wedding massacre but in reality she was entirely still alive the whole time!
Realy?? Noooooo
Which confuses me a lot, did she have her at the hospital when she was in a coma? Is that even possible either?

@@nickoffury stop projecting. this is one of quentin's most underrated movies
@@modest8930 Kill Bill? Underrated? Are you 12? Were you even born? 💀
@@nickoffury thank you! The whole point of Kill Bill (and a lot of Tarantino's movies tbh) is that there isn't any super deep philosophical or intellectual meaning, its just fun to watch, art for the sake of art. I love Tarantino but hate most of fans
Kill Bill isn't that deep, neither are most of Tarantino's movies. That doesn't mean they're not great, it just means that they are not that deep. I hate how people need to feel that something is highly intellectual or philosophical in order to justify loving it, can't a movie be great simply because its wonderfully entertaining
Moving scene. Smart on Bill's part too because he knew she was coming for him and having her child present who she thought was dead would shock anyone on their revenge. He could have used Bebe to kill Beatrix but he didn't, however he did use her to ensure enough time to get the truth out and have their final fight without an element of surprise.
I can never watch this without it bringing me to tears.
awl agree i always cry at this part to its the shock look in her face and shes finaly seen her bb and the tears from her eyes and the things she says and when bb said i dreamed about you mum and then she says did u dream about me and uma said every single baby every single night is so sad to

Same
"you're dead mommy so die" the lines on this movie damn
This is my favorite Tarantino film ever made I believe still to this day it’s his masterpiece……….
I went into both of these movies as someone who didn't enjoy Tarantino movies and came out a fan. I did not see this part coming at all and my favorite part of both movies is the part after she takes BB to the motel after killing bill, and she just cries on the floor. It's so beautiful all the emotions she goes through in that one scene alone, then to end with her smiling with pure joy that she has the one thing she thought she lost forever and then they get to drive off into the sunset together. A truely beautiful love story and today is mother's day so great day to appreciate this!
"Mother is God in the eyes of a child."
ok chill
Bill is such an evil genius. He gives all the hallmarks of a doting father- playing with his daughter, caring for her, telling her about her mother in a way she'd understand- all to use her as a pawn to try and save his own life. Did he love his daughter? Who knows. But he loved the Bride, and look what he did to her.

So beautiful, and one of the greatest twists I’ve seen in a film. Phenomenal acting too! Seeing all the looks on her face.
that part is so sad the look on my beatrix's face makes me cry everytime seeing her daughter bb for the first time ever and the tears in her eyes is heart breaking❤❤❤
Even after all that man did to her ...he kept their child alive knowing he was gonna die...he could have killed her in the hospital or sent someone to assassinate her. But he didn't. Quinton did good in this
Uma Thurman is one of the best to ever do it and this scene proves it.
What an amazing actress we had.
I love the end when they both go into girly mode and start calling each other pretty 😍 💓 💕
"You're pretty too mommy" 😭😭😭
Beautiful and sad, just think if that wedding massacre didn't happen Beatrix would have memories of BB being a baby and slowly watching her grow. Well BB is still young but it still took a chunk of time away from those possible motherly and baby moments.
Well if that didn't happen this film wouldn't exist but yeah I understand what you're saying
Bang, bang my baby shot me
Sensational
Never saw the film. But I'm sobbing. I'm watching it tonight
One of the best movies ever made
another thing i also love the killer revenge look she gives bill wiles shes cuddling bb as in your dead ❤
and for a second.... a lovely family moment is created, almost as if Bill was showing her what everyday could of been like if she had stayed. the complexities of the "What if" Factors come into play very well here
"I waited a long time for you to wake up, mommy" must have been the most heartbreaking thing Beatrice could have heard
This was an insane twist I never thought she’d actually get to see her so damn soon in the movie
the bang bang like the beginning of the first movie when she got shot with bang bang the song playing it’s just like a cool little thing and her acting is so good with her eyes n everything
to BB, Beatrix is still just a stranger to her. it feels a bit weird that she is able to just bond and attach to her immediately...
Eh kids are weird like that sm way when a parent knows that its their child with only meeting them for the first time
It seems like he had been telling her about Beatrix for awhile. That's why she was so instantly connected to her. She didn't really know her, but felt she did.
I feel like bill has spoken to be about her mom and gave her a picture too know what she looks like so she naturally just gravitated to her but if she had a choice she choose bill bc she spent her entire life with him.
Even newborns can sense when it is the mother...there is a difference
Nothing kills you like the 5 point palm exploding heart technique 😂
"bang bang" my beebee shot me down.

I'm glad that she's alive they need to make a 3rd movie
The agony of months of what she did to find her daughter and get her back. 😢😢😢 💔 I love this movie
Maya Hawke needs to play BB in Kill Bill 3. Shit would be perfect.
Technically she’s the perfect age to play BB
take my money
this one is funny and sad the same time
Uma Thurman a true talent
Probably the most anticipated sequel ever. I'm not kidding even for avengers lol I really wanted to see Uma going off again
I could see in that woman’s face that none of that revenge mattered anymore, her life found a new meaning. True Love, she was reunited with the daughter she thought was dead.
I kind of wish they hadn’t given this away at the end of part 1. Imagine all the emotions with this being a total surprise
This plot twist was insane
When I first watch this I didn't understand her anger but now I understand she's one angry mama
One of the greatest movies
Why am I getting teary eyed
Tarantino’s best film by far.
David Carradine was awesome ❤
Did you know that Maya could have been BB in this movie?
I mean... this movie was filmed around 2002 along with the first part. At that time (2002) Maya was 4 years old, the age that it is supposed that BB has in the movie.
But considering how worried Uma was when Maya became an actress now.... I don't think she wanted to get her daughter into acting when she was little.
The fact of thinking how Maya, being Uma's daughter, could be also in fiction makes it even more touching.
This is the exact same moment as when a guy realizes he has a child
When the guy realizes the child lived through the birth and that the child is okay
That the child wasn’t killed, that the child is alive and safe and all of five years old and that the child wasn’t harmed, injured or killed in the womb and that the child wasn’t harmed, injured or killed by her father, Ted. Or her father, Bill.
"Hey, get back down there, you're playing possum."
This is still my favourite movie of Tarantino. I wish there was a sequel to this.
Vol 3 please
Great scene that captures the moment incredibly well.
However, the plot gets riddled with holes here.
1. Did Bill tell ANYone else BB was alive? We know he questions Sophie this at the end of Vol 1. And we know how chatty Sophie can be.
The other members of the DVAS could have easily saved their own butts with this info.
and
2. Beatrix wouldn't have had to go through all of this death & destruction because her baby was still alive.
Sure, she still has a vengeance plot due to her own pain & the wedding massacre, but it wouldn't have had to be so ...thorough. A sound Ass-kicking would have been sufficient for most of them.
which brings it to
3. Now, she knows what she has done and will forever question if she was in the wrong to do it all because her main reason for doing this included BB's life not existing because of them.
Surely SOMEone knew BB was alive other than Bill & Sophie. Even if it wasn't one of the Squad. There would be tells or people that would speak about it during Beatrix's investigations.
This scene is supposed to show that Bill could've been a great father to BB and showed that Beatrix gave up too quickly on him before she ran off to Texas.
Not really.
He would eventually claim her as an assassin
@@kitanaedenian2575 how do you know?
No the point of this scene is to show just how evil & manipulative Bill is. He’s willing to be a good parent to get what he wants, which is total control over the situation.
It was his child any father would go to extremes to take care of their child. Not saying what Bill did was acceptable but he had the power and was hurt. He still loved Beatrix, which is why he didn't have her killed at the hospital and didn't put up a fight at the end.

You may not believe this, but I literally met good old 'Grasshopper' David Carradine here when I played an extra on the shoot of 'American Reel' - Not even kidding. It was a quiet and brief encounter, but at least I got to meet him before he passed. He didn't say much and frankly I didn't blame him because on the day of the shooting, he must have been in a pissy mood so he had a small tantrum and ran off stage. This was back in 2000-2001, when I was just about to graduate from High School.
American Reel was (IS) an independent film that he took part in. Then, I met his agent who was then a woman (who was quite nice) and I pissed off the director (for which I apologized for). I would have to say that this was a spotlight in my life that will never be repeated, though over time I have met a few minor celebreties (namely news anchors) but meeting David takes the top of that list for sure.
