It was a long drive, so we always split it into two nights. Every single time, we passed through this huge city by the ocean that was just filled with life. Every time we passed that city, I would put in my earphones and listen to this remix. Every single time. It made me so so excited and so so happy, it was my happy place. Now, it’s 2021 and we don’t see our cousins at all anymore. Obviously because of covid, but for personal reasons too. So for the first time in years, I decided to search this up and listen to it again. As soon as the chorus started, I started bawling my eyes out and there was an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. The words “I want to go back” repeated in my head. This is way too dramatic and I’m so sorry 😭😭😭 but thank you so so so much for making my life better with this song :) I will definitely be listening to this for a looooong time
Splatoon has got me through one of the hardest parts of life i have ever experienced and i thank nintendo every day for helping me to have fun and make friends at a time where everyone hated me and i had no friends
