Hey everyone! On this day, May 28th, last year, a great game was first released in Japan, and that game was Splatoon! You guys have no idea how many hours I've drained into playing Splatoon since 30th May last year (the Aussie release date), and I still can't believe Splatoon's been around for a whole year now! And so, to celebrate, I've prepared a Splatoon remix for you guys, although you probably could've guessed, given my uploads for the past few weeks! XD
As soon as I heard this song in the amiibo trailer last month, I just knew I needed to remix it! I've always preferred Callie over Marie (oh no, what did I just do? XD), and when I found out Tokimeki ☆ Bomb Rush was her solo, I completely freaked! So I've been working hard this month, in between study, to get this remix done! And I think it sounds pretty good!
So, this remix can be compared to my Pallet Town remix, merged with my Great Canyon remix, as you can see elements from both in this one. I don't know why, but the koto just sounded really great with this and I just had to use it! Seems like it's becoming my 'style' to incorporate the koto! In regards to composition, I haven't done much to the melody, but the chords and harmonies are all changed up from the original, as well as the tempo. I especially enjoyed the breakdown in the middle, and it's not just because I put Calamari Inkantation in there! Other than that, it's all pretty standard (electro) house!
Wow, it's been a pretty terrible month, hasn't it? School has been catching up to me and mid-year exams start this Monday, so I've been pretty busy lately with studies and stuff. But, luckily, I had a little free time on the side to work on this. I think it's pretty safe to say this is the longest I've worked on remix, since I started it after I uploaded Tokimeki ☆ Lullaby. I hope all the work's paid off! I can't believe we're at 2.5K subs and counting, I really can't thank you enough, especially since I've been a little inactive in regards to actual remixes! I hope you guys enjoy this one, and I'll hopefully see you in two weeks, when my exams are over!

This song makes me want to drop down and cry. (I am currently crying.) I was pretty late to the Splatoon party, having gotten my Wii U in 2017. I’ll never forget the memories. Now the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere is here, and I’m ready to see the future of our Woomy and Veemo friends.

I love Callie. Callie is bae. Honestly though, I really love Callie because we share a somewhat similar personality. She seems like some really fun to be around, spontaneous and quirky. Not to mention, she's a Roller main (personally, I'm a Slosher main, but Rollers are my second favourite weapon class)!

This is my favorite remix ever. I listened to this the day it came out and I was instantly obsessed. I was 11 when this came out. Every single summer, we drove up to see our cousins. It was a long drive, so we always split it into two nights. Every single time, we passed through this huge city by the ocean that was just filled with life. Every time we passed that city, I would put in my earphones and listen to this remix. Every single time. It made me so so excited and so so happy, it was my happy place. Now, it’s 2021 and we don’t see our cousins at all anymore. Obviously because of covid, but for personal reasons too. So for the first time in years, I decided to search this up and listen to it again. As soon as the chorus started, I started bawling my eyes out and there was an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. The words “I want to go back” repeated in my head. This is way too dramatic and I’m so sorry 😭😭😭 but thank you so so so much for making my life better with this song :) I will definitely be listening to this for a looooong time

This video is old, but i still listen to it all the time. I listened to it constantly around the time splatoon 2 came out. I'll always thank nintendo for splatoon's existence, it got me through so much back in the day, and while i don't play it as much anymore I've been getting back into the swing of things with 2 and it's been super enjoyable. I've made friends and met so many amazing people through this game series, and that's why it'll forever live on in my heart. I can only hope that splatoon 3 is actually in the works lol.
