⭐⭐⭐ STAR ⭐⭐⭐

Well, it was either gonna be this or the wave, and that symbol was already revealed to be Stitch vs Rocket.
Admittedly, it _was_ kind of a coin flip between which of these two symbols correspond with both of these episodes considering.... you know... surfing involves the waves... Silver _Surfer_ ...., but still.
For all who have no idea:
This pinned message is the symbol that represents this matchup in GF stylised cipher wheel that many fans have caught in blink and you miss it moment from trailer for Season 10.
Later same wheel was seen in track art for Discord vs Bill halfway through the season and confirmed which matchup have happened.
Star represents their cosmic origins.
I suppose it could fit Galactus Unicron but I'll say with logics some of other ones were put i bet Pentagram is Galacron due to Unicron being literal Satan and in general pentagram is calling higher powers, those beings exactly like Galactus Unicron
(Gojo Makima not being pentagram makes them suits in this case)

ok
MM and SS weren't thinking about who could kill each other, they were thinking about why would they kill each other. And it fits perfectly for these two. Excellent episode.

no comments let me fix that
I feel nothing for both of these underrated heroes
yeah i always wonder if death battle could put characters that can't kill like Kenshin, or Vash Stampide. Imean if they put someone like Thorfin it has to be in his revengfull phase and not in his pacific phase even if his pacific phase is his peak
I would listen to an entire podcast with just these 2! But... why...
Indeed, it does.
These two would absolutely be best friends if they actually met. They are both people who have been through hell, repeatedly, and never stopped being incredibly good people.
haha I know what we are clicking on and expect to see with these DB, but there are just some of these times especially here and and Beast vs. Goliath, that the two could never actually be enemies of one another in fact they'd be the best of friends.
They would be great friends
dam i remember all might vs might guy and kakashi vs obi wan 😔
If they were best friends have we seen a death battle where the 2 could beat these 2
Theres a lot of those; Static vs. Miles Morales, Goku vs Superman, Flash vs. Sonic, Leonardo vs MMPR Red
"Victory comes with no certain satisfaction. I may never know why we were made to fight. If violence is ever truly justified, but perhaps there is something... Worthy in the battle. Something beyond my understanding..."
That was legitimately one of the most beautiful monologues in the show.
Bro said, "Look man I'm just as lost as you are, even if there was a reason. And if I knew, it still wouldn't make any sense as far as I know."
I cried a little
It’s beyond their understanding that having a battle to the very death to entertain people on RUclips is a worthy cause enough for one of them to die…

Its crazy how Martian Man is always sidelined on the Justice space station when he's literally second to Superman

As long as overrated batman is there, he can never get his spot
"I hope you can live with the uncertainty" was such a good line. Even as he knows he's about to be destroyed, MM has kind words for the Surfer. I want to read a story of these two working together and becoming friends.
I'm here after Paul M. Guyet's character, Discord ''lost", but won the War(by saving Equestria and his friends, including Fluttershy and Princess Twilight Sparkle).
(I voted for Bill Cipher at the last second Saturday)
I think it was the Martian Manhunter's way of saying "I forgive you and I hope you can live with the guilt."
I like how people started off as, "this is just another Marvel vs DC," but little did we know...how powerful of a message and aftertaste this left in all of us.
Next they should do Janet Van Dyne (Wasp) Marvel vs. Karen Beecher (Bumblebee) DC

What I love about the last few seasons of Death Battle is that instead of focusing on just making the battles longer or flashier or with better graphics, they're focusing on making the combatants true to both the characterization and the themes of their source material, and finding the areas of common ground between the two to compare their similarities and contrast their differences. It feels like the series has become so much more mature, while staying true to its colorful, flamboyant and action-packed roots.
And then there’s Blake vs Mikasa
I mean they both have morality and philosophy ideals in space
Usually the match-ups are there because the two characters have similar themes or character concepts, so it makes sense.
@@youngmultiverser9311 That's a weird way to say Korra Vs. Storm . . .

The ending. It feels like they are aware of the rules of Death Battle. That regardless of if they want to or not, they HAVE to fight to the death and they can't do a thing to stop it. I think its the first time a character has become aware of the function of the show without it being used for comedy, and I'm a huge fan of it.

Its not actually that deep. They would devolve into using energy blasts and punches just like any other superhero battle.

I feel like this is a better representation of both these characters than Hollywood will ever give us.
Martin Manhuter showed up in Zack Snyder's Justice League. The most accurate version of the character I've seen. Yeah, you could ask where he was, but then he was General Swanwick helping out the best he could to fight the Kryptonians and send them back into the Phantom Zone. He was hesitant to launch a nuke to Superman and Doomsday.
But then, he didn't do anything as the story wasn't even finished yet.
Well it’s its hard nigh impossible to put broken pieces of crap on the big screen like this and have it make actual sense; especially if it’s live action.🙃
You got that right.

That’s a YOU problem here that you’re BADLY projecting here, not anyone else.
This was perhaps the most existential Death Battle ever. Not only did they both acknowledge that they were being forced to fight and ponder why, they're both near infinitely powerful beings with great cosmic and philosophical knowledge who had lost their entire civilization. It was going to be a bitter victory no matter who won. And it was a total love letter to these characters. Amazing job.

I appreciate how they depicted both characters here with respect to their character's values. I don't think either would enjoy having to fight each other and there would be level of mutual respect between the both of them. I like how SS shed a tear before having to destroy MM as well as it was not something his character would want or typically do.
This is the first _serious_ Death Battle where the characters are actually *aware* of the cosmic rules being unwillingly placed on them by the outside force that is the show. It's been acknowledged in the series before, but... that was in Deadpool episodes, not exactly meant to be philosophical or existential.

As much as I was hoping and routing for MM to win, I'm actually happy he at least gets to be with his family again. So I confess this was a very emotional and deep Death Battle Episode.
Right.
God bless you
bro who voiced SS killed it with that speech at the end🤯
Paul Guyet, voice actor of Urgot from League of Legends.
The ending was both sad and shocking.
Sad because of how emotional it was and shocking cause two non-fourth wall breakers practically seemed like they were actually aware that they were forced to fight to the death but didn’t know why.

you did amazing!! you truly are the silver surfer
Mate, your performance gave me chills!
Wow, your work is amazing, and it really has come full circle for you. Hasn't it?
The voice acting in this was incredible. When SS hit MM with the beam that would ultimately kill him, you could really feel the pain in MM's voice. And the somber acceptance that MM would not win, and then choosing to leave SS with kind words despite knowing that with him, the martians die out for good, was such a chilling conclusion. This has to be one of my favorite battles of all time, if only for that final dialogue they had within the heart of the star.
You know some people may see galactus as a bad guy but honestly it was pretty cool how he has empathy for the Silver Surfer and the guilt he felt for all the deaths
I was explaining to my old lady the other day that he's not really a villain
Yeah his character is more so a tragic environmental force. He’s neither a hero nor villain, he’s basically a hungry lion and entire planets are simply meals that keep him alive. It’s not unlike humans eating animals.
It is genuinely fascinating to watch the Surfer and the Manhunter realize at the same time they were fighting solely for the fight. When their minds connected, they shattered the 4th wall and saw that this was exactly what it says on the tin: a Death Battle, a fight they *must* fight even if they don't want to. Of all the incredibly powerful beings that have battled on this show, these are the only two(who are not inherently aware of the 4th wall by concept ala Deadpool)that would end up in a scenario like this and acknowledge it, that was a really nice touch.
Yeah, it was beautiful.
I don't think they broke the 4th wall they realized that the setup had them both thinking the other was their enemy who must die, that in reality they should have no reason to fight and yet they must.
@@umcThunder72yeah they didn’t know about the show or death battle because they did not know the reason they where fighting only that they had to fight and one of them had to die but they didn’t find out it was for a show for our entertainment so they didn’t shatter the 4th wall. @@umcThunder72you don't have to know about it to break the fourth wall, they did break the fourth wall not like Deadpool, but in a different way.

Wouldnt after one of them figured out they werr being controlled wouldn't either one of them began immediately investing what the hell just happened? They could create a character inconsistency or plot hole.
@MrvlOS I think they just didn't want to do that because they already did a self-aware takeover in deadpool vs. Pinkie pie and thought people would be upset, but yeah, that is how it should have went down

Something that strikes me in this fight is how, in the final exchange between Martian Manhunter and Silver Surfer, they both acknowledge that they have no real reason to fight but need to anyways for reasons they don’t know, with Silver Surfer even commenting that he “may never know why they were made to fight” and that he didn’t want it to end like it did in the first place.
I take it as one of the few instances that shows that Wiz and Boomstick did simulate this fight, and that these two were the only combatants in the show thus far that were cosmically aware and enlightened enough to just barely be able to yet not quite recognize that fact, where only fourth wall breakers have been able to before in the shows history.

Martian Manhunter and Silver Surfer are both insanely powerful. They, however, are both hyper-aware of just how powerful they are, and are both intensely intelligent, so they would question the very purpose of them fighting each other, just as WizardLizard has already pointed out. However, I wouldn't rule out them wanting to spar in order to find each other's limits (or even if they HAD limits...which they may not!). I feel that they'd try to hold back in order to keep from destroying the entire universe.
This is a good fight because Martian Manhunter and Silver Surfer are absurdly powerful but actually *more limited* than a lot of these high-level comic character throwdowns, in the sense that they cannot rewrite reality itself, yank people's souls out, or other metaphysical nonsense that got pulled out with the likes of Zatanna, Raven/Phoenix, Dr. Strange/Fate, etc. Manhunter and Silver Surfer are limited to one reality, one dimension. They can smash planets and endure impossible forces but they stop short of going full Calvinball.
Two of the noblest beings of their respective universes fighting without ever truly knowing why...This fight made me a little sad.

I love how this entire fight didn't feel like two brick houses crashing into each other, but a display of the two's train of thought and mentality. It highlighted their tragedies in their life, rather than the powers they hold back due to their respect for the living. It gave light to the mental pain that they've suffered for who knows how long, and the ending was the icing on the cake.

I'm glad that they realized that the only way to justify these two fighting is to have them not know why they're fighting. In a lot of cases, the hero vs hero battles are a bit forced, especially since most heroes don't straight-up kill people. This battle straight-up says, "Yeah, there's no real reason why they're fighting all-out to the death. We aren't even going to try to justify it with some convoluted scenario." @@Trebolt- The shot of SS laying on the surfboard with his head down comes from the infamously terrible Silver Surfer NES game
I think the part where they briefly clash in the Sun even also references the Clash System in Injustice 2.
The voice actors killed it with this one! This is the greatest Deathbattle written to date
It was boring
@@Inotnas9 it’s ok to have your wrong opinion
@trashpanda2354 it was boring, in my opinion. Go cry me a river if you don't like it
@@Inotnas9 you're allowed to be wrong
@harleyx7332 why you so hurt I said the video was boring. Are you really that upset? 😂
Fun fact: Dr Pepper actually WAS a doctor but he had nothing to do with the drink named after him. Lol.
the way this episode was handled was by far one of the best representations i've seen
A Marvel vs DC episode, sponsored by One Piece. Wha an ambitious crossover
I mean, not too outlandish considering Marvel and DC have done a crossover before and DC even had a comic book crossover with RWBY.
Wow, I didn't know Galactus was such a good boss for his employees
Well he's not evil at all. He just can't help himself when he's hungry
@@ordinarymann get him a world sized snickers
@@novawilliams873There's an ad comic where Aunt May (accidentally made a herald named Golden Oldie) is able to solve Galctus' hunger problem by feeding him Twinkies (first a bunch of regular ones from Earth, then planet-sized ones made by an alien chef she discovers).
Galactus is a kind soul forced to feed on planets by a higher power , the sole survivor of his universe destined for imperfect immortality by Eternity and for eternity because the universe needs destruction to balance everything
@@felixlara2945So his role is basically like Beerus from Dragonball Super. Except instead of blasting planets as his 9-5 job, it's because he was inflicted with a space curse from a higher being.
This is my favorite Death Battle so far
Top 3 best episodes you guys have made for sure. The analysis, the battle, the visuals and omg the dialogue!
Genuinely a heartbreaking ending. Haven’t felt this bad since Johnathan vs Tanjiro. The actor for J'onn sounded so much like Carl Lumbly. Incredible.
The voice acting was actually extremely good on this episode, wow.
This is a better representation of these characters than most mediums would ever grace us with. However… MM would’ve been toast inside the sun
That was probably the best battle this show has made. Kudos to you guys!
Genuinely a heartbreaking ending. Haven’t felt this bad since Johnathan vs Tanjiro. The voice work for this was fantastic props to the VAs!.
Just remembering that yellow sunlight overdrive yell gives me goosebumps. This episode was lovely for it's soft ending .
The last ones have been hitting just as hard in a badass way e.g Darth Vader vs Obito
Though Guts vs Dimitri was just too damn cool. Dimitri's " You DEMONS will NOT have his soul" after their battle and him going to fight for Guts was just Magnificent
This is legitimately the best written fight that y'all have put out. Well friggin' done!
Yea, they both were super in character, even though they killed each other.
they didn't even bring in silver surfer with mjolnir. woulda been crazy
Yall just gonna sleep on deadpool and pinkie pie??
@@Jaronekvword. Or the gauntlet. Lol.
It was short and boring. This is legitimately the worst written fight that they have put out.
this is really beautiful , this is not just about super power but the battle of knowledge and philosophy
I did a good poop today :)
Edit: thank you for your support everybody
Yea death battle scaling is as worse as danco. Mm should have won he can hack mr.mxl, perpetua, tanked a blast from a angel that beat up Michael Demiurgos, hack maggedon who beat the presence but can't hack surfer lmao . Than they say surfer has fought galactus level beings bruh the names mentioned neg galactus lmao 😂😂
@@samuraiblack8840 unreal no more db for me unsubbing
@@samuraiblack8840 MM doesn’t beat surfer bro Surfer can solo the justice league
@@wintergreen8393surfer can’t solo the justice league people overrate him so much
@@ProfessionalCurryDefender he absolutely can. Putting him vs MM is like putting Hulk vs Darkseid instead of doomsday. It just doesn’t make sense.
This was a more questionable death battle than any other. No matter who wins, it's going to be a depressing victory. 😢
This Matchup legitimately made me Cry 😭
And these are comic book characters I honestly didn't care about.
Not so depressing for Marvel fans who were still pissed at Raven’s victory, but hey, at least we got a win, and it’s from a herald of the Planet Eater himself, Galactus.
Not sure, I’d say Jojo vs Demon Slayer was up there.
@@Flarisnah not even close
@@multiverse_media2023idk why, I think Marvel has more wins over DC in Death Battle.
Man, you can't help but respect and pity both of these characters after having such an exchange of sincerity, yet uncertainty...
:c
This is my favorite death battle ever and I've been watching these videos for over 10 years. the dialogue, the story telling...5 star DB
Even though J'onn lost, this episode showed a level of respect for him that I don't see very often. What a great video for an underrated character.
Bullsh** they should have put him against vision to make it more fair this was yet another free win just like Bane Vs Venom and Batman vs Spider-Man booster gold vs cable I can go on.
@@wintergreen8393 Cope, seethe, mald.
@@wintergreen8393 Manhunter vs. Vision isn't even close to a fair matchup... Viz isn't ANYWHERE near MM's power level. It would be a massacre.
@@WarpedLordthey have way more similarities than surfer and MM. and if you knew comics, you’d know vision ain’t no joke either and would give him a serious run for his money. Their roles for the avengers and the JL is why they should face off stomp or not.
@@wintergreen8393fair? Are you high? It would be a free win for dc.
I love how they focused primarily on both sides' philosophical natures. They're both crazy powerful but it's not like we've never seen this level of power on the show before, so focusing on what makes these two unique lets the episode, and especially that ending, stand out from all the other comic book herald throwdowns.
13:02 "He once went so fast, reached the future."
Not to brag, but I travel to the future all the time
That ending man wow just wow but it epitomizes who they both are as heroes
"Victory Comes with No Satisfaction, I may never know why we were made to fight, If violence is ever truly justified but perhaps there is something Worthy in the battle"
The way that Line was Delivered with the combination of the music in the background don't tell me I wasn't the only one who Shed a Tear 😢
I almost cried (I really couldn't hear it that well because my sisters were being very loud)
This dialogue for the fight was absolutely outstanding. The fight itself may not be the best one but the story it told is one of the best hands down.
Didn’t expect Silver Surfer to go against Martin Manhunter but makes sense when you think about their personality’s, backstories and most of their abilities
that was extremally one sided, but my god was it perfect, especially the ending
MM is so criminally underrated. Dude is ultimately the same level if not higher than super man and so op that he had to be psychologically nerfed
Indeed if he did this well against Perpetua no way he lose against Surfer
@stevecavalle5670 I was rooting for MM but unfortunately the power cosmic has never actually been given a limit
@@loving_lecturer0155 You mean the non existant given limit which Surfer seems to have with the power cosmic while he lost so many times against so many characters ?
@stevecavalle5670 yup that same vastly inconsistent power where galactic gave him a sliver of his power but its enough to overpower galactic himself
@@stevecavalle but you could say the exact same thing about MM, not saying your wrong thats just how comics are
