Been in his situation a month ago, tried this but didn't worked for me. So, ended up paying the shop to do it (lost a weekend and 2 days til I could go to the shop again to take back my MB). Still no idea what did wrong. Now is working great along R5 8600g.

Having tried bios flashback some time ago just convinced me to never buy a board that doesn't have that feature. This may save a lot of time for buikders
Great video thank you - oddly I just flashed F9d since I have not flashed since the VERY early days of AM5 - I didn't realise F9d was a BETA but hopefully all will be OK. I have the B650 GAMING X AX. Still a little unsure about all that happened with the XMP stuff but mine seems to be working fine according to CPU-Z (6000 CL30) something to do with SOC was it? I never payed any attention. I was like... 'If it dies.. It dies' standing over my PC with my top off and the same look in my eyes as Drago.
Can I use this method if I want to flash to an older version of the BIOS? For example, if I don't like the latest BIOS or have problems with it, can I flash back and use the old version?
For much older flash drives (64MB) I don't see the FAT 32 option. Just a FAT (default). Is this 32 and just predates the need to call out other versions or do I need to fetch a more modern USB stick.
Hi Mike its Mike! Can you do a video on curve optimization? Im not having very good luck on mine. Ryzen master doesnt support the 7800x3d. Ive been undervolting the main two cores to -20 and the othere 6 cores to -25. It was stable for a few days then it crashes. Is there a website that has that curve optimizer tool? Thanks!
i'll see what i can do. I did a video on reducing temps for AM5 previously that might help. The curve optimiser is in ryzen centre but not sure if it supported the X3D range

yes generally you can, sometimes there is a section in the bios to toggle that feature on or off.

Why we change it to .bin?
because that is the only file name extension the bios flashback hardware is able to use
