😂🤣😂 hilarious , so the police basically let the law slide and basically help resellers scalp the public ridiculous amounts of money for coins that are going into circulation anyway , I bet you were sweating for a bit thinking the police would go after the buyers for receiving stolen goods 😂 lucky they didn’t cause it wouldn’t be hard to follow that paper trail 😂 excellent video , I needed a good laugh 😂
Yes, I definitely was thinking they might show up to tack them back 😥 it’s definitely one of the craziest things I have heard! Just wonder how collectable the bags will become now! Glad you had a laugh 😂🤣 Dan
@@DantheCollectingMan What do you think of the rolls from the folder set. They will be $29, and can keep the roll unopened. Also the more expensive cards ($10 each), may very likely be a higher quality than the rolls and bags that have been banging around. I think having the full set to sell rather than 25 the same would be more valuable.. maybe. I do have some rolls, like the 2024 premium set, but they aren't much for displaying. More of just a pile of treasure to bury on a secluded island.
Thanks Dan. You're tempting me into coin collecting again. I used to do it as a kid. I'm trying to stay away from the light. I bought the 4 space dollars in the uncirculated set. I was tempted to get the Vegemite set but managed to resist
I bought one 2 weeks ago from a person on a coin selling page. I'd say it was one of these stolen coins. I paid $7 for it. I had NO idea they were stolen.
From the news report, it sounded like the Aus Mint used a normal storage company, not a currency storage centre, that they were storing the coins at. I suppose to save money as its only coins
My advice dan with any coins that remain in a bag is to align them head to tails and then roll the plastic bag around them to protect them from rubbing against each other as much as possible and to prevent any uneven or unnecessary toning.
@@DantheCollectingMan From the perspective of collecting, locking coins into position within a bag is of an overall advantage. While you can no longer view both sides of any coin within the bag you are protecting 18 of them from uneven toning and all of them from scratching each other.
@DantheCollectingMan there are now ebay listings for a $1 coloured proof coin. There is a silver proof and AlBr proof. Is likely an upcoming September EQL.
I do hope you have passed on all the information as to who you purchased from onto the police. (They are unlikely to be the original source) NSW Police have stated Strike force bandit are still investigating, they have stated the collectors can keep them. They are just trying to track down the initial parties, all the pieces of the puzzle can help the police. If we want to stop the dodgy stuff happening in the future, the community needs to step up with assistance where they can.

So so so true
So whatever happened to receiving stolen goods... must be a thing of the past now as it's set a precedence 😊

Why hold back from something you enjoy?
Now that I have started this RUclips channel I have fell in love with the hobby even more. The more you learn about it the more enjoyable it is. Dan
@@TheBlondeSuperman it's just that I have multiple collections of things. Just more worry for my kids to sort out when I no longer need it.
6:41 wow. I’m shocked. The mainstream media wasn’t interested in accuracy
Yes, they are so lazy. That’s why you can’t trust them.

Me too. I was so shocked when I first heard about it… and didn’t know what to do with the coins I had. But have to told I can keep them. Dan

I don’t think they will be doing that again 🤔
I prefer the 2005 $1 MOR off-centre 10% error coin. Beautiful coins those.

Thanks Dan.
👍
How difficult do you think it would be to bag up 20 coins? 🤔
If you could find a similar bag. But I don’t think it would be easy. Dan

Thanks so much for your advice. I’ll definitely do that. Dan
