Cool dude!
Take me out to dīnner
More studio journals and gig journals please.
Also, record’s gonna slap hard.
The vlogs are my favorite part of your channel. Gear reviews get boring after awhile. Its much more fun to actually see what you do with the stuff.
Sweet tones, can't wait to hear the finished product!
Thanks dude!
SAMEUUU
The Novo in open D sounded marvelous! Definitely the right idea for that track, Rhett.
I would watching hundreds of these in a row. I don’t think I would ever get bored with content like this.
Rhett thanks for taking the LPD Saguaro along on this adventure! Honored to have it there. Couldn’t tell exactly what combo of things you were using but the tones were awesome! Looking forward to more of this.
That was fantastic! It gives us the ability to see the innards of a recording band, and the insight into the recording process. Loved it, thank you!
Really cool videos. The content, the vibe of being a pro guitarist, the shots, the long stage/playing parts. Super realistic look on what it’s like playing guitar for a living. Thanks man!
That is absolutely the dream! Keep living it bro!
Also, I could have watched the creative process, laying down tracks and studio time all day, gig Vlogs are awesome, they make me hungry to get it, and they are just cool
Being able to see the studio process would be a great series of videos. I know I'd watch them all. It was nice to see you adding just what the song needed.
I've been following your videos for a while now, and I want to thank you! These are so inspiring! I think the way you play is really amazing, and simple, but yet really effective. Just the way it should be to stand nice in the mix! And I love these vids about musician's life, it challenges me to do more and more!
Definitely dig the studio journals and gig journals. More please, sir. Looking forward to the final product. You guys sound great.
Rhett, I've been following you awhile now and I think this is my favorite video so far! I really appreciate the looks inside the music business buddy and the band sounds great. Very well done!!
yes!! love seeing the process. Watched your pedal creation vids now getting to see them in action is super cool. would also like to see actual gigs!
Always been fascinated by the “real guys” behind the music. Amazing back in my day, like 60’s and 70’s session musicians could make one hit wonders and they would just create a band name for the song. For example, “Stormy” by ClassicIV. Just amazing! Glad I stumbled upon this!
✌
Dingus
What a great video. Doing something you really love, doesn't get any better than this.
Video was great man, these backstage vlogs are dope. Doesn't matter what I'm watching on youtube, once you post on a new gig vlog I'm there.
Yes! More please. This type of music sharing is awesome. Many blessings!
Yes, more of these. Really interesting to hear how you prepare studio sessions, your tips and tricks etc.
really cool to get a peek inside this process. thanks for the video, Rhett -- you guys sound great!
Nice job Rhett. As always, you keep things interesting for your viewers. Looking forward to seeing how things turn out. Thanks!
Great job on the videography Rhett! Love the cutaway shots while you were talking about different subjects.
Really encouraging. Sounds really really good, great to see a guy that's doing the same stuff I'm wanting to do in life.
Love the studio session videos! Please keep them coming.
Stuff like this gives me a whole new level of respect for guys like Tim Pierce. Just show up for a couple hours and KILL it, no matter what style of music. Great video, Rhett. Some serious taste happening in this session
Great video! I enjoyed the whole thing. We need more videos like this, awesome job!!!
More stuff like this? Yes please Rhett, thank you so much!
And super tone!
Cool video man! I love studio vlogs. That was my favorite thing to watch from all my favorite bands. Keep it up!
Yay! This is the can't wait to do more of this feeling! 😀 Can't sleep thinking of more ideas, and wanting to just keep trying one more, and..., another one.
comfortable environment needed, the right group of people and somebody who knows how to capture the performance
I definitely love this type of video! I love seeing the creative process! Keep em coming
This was great, thanks for sharing. Really interesting to see all this behind the scenes stuff 😎👍
Those tones were unreal! Can't wait to hear the record!
Sounds so sick, can't wait to hear the finished tracks!
Absolutely love these studio and gig journals, great idea and well executed
Great video love following your career and all it entails. Great tones and safe travels to you
Hey Rhett. Really love the insight into your creative process, and I love watching (With mild envy) while you're out doing session stuff. Great videos man!
Love this sort of vid, that guitar sounds FANTASTIC! Also, keep us posted on the album release.
I think this was an awesome video. I watch (mostly listen) non stop videos all day at the office as background and this session stuff was really refreshing to e listen. I mean in a different perspective that I and many of us non session guitarist get. and the tones were awesome!!!!! Thanks for the Video!!!!
Great vlog! This is the stuff that hooked me on your channel! So yea, the more gig vlogs the better for me!
No idea how I came across this, but that blog was worth watching every single minute! Good job man!
Awesome man...i love that guitar, novo with p90. Really really great sound.. and when it get an overdrive. Wawwww... incredible. Hope i can get sound like that..
Great job man ‼️‼️‼️‼️
What a fun video! Thanks Rhett.
Great video Rhett!! Recording can be equally taxing and rewarding at times. Keep doing these vlog's they're great!!
loved this. watched a few times over the years, more please!
Definitely more of these. This is easily some of the best content in my opinion
I cannot get enough of studio videos. More more more!
Man I love that novo so bad ass wish I could afford one ! and ya love these types of vlogs
Make these longer my dude! I love them!
I really enjoy the insight into the life of a working musician, thanks much!
I would love to see more of your gig/session vlogs! I just think it's super interesting to get an idea how you guys are working :)
Just keep showing. We need what you are giving. Most don't even know how hard it is to record. I do!
Yep, this is the type of video I was hoping to see here. Really cool.
Excellent video! Loved the slide guitar playing.
Beautiful playing and tone! Great man! 👏👏
Dang. Noah's voice sounded so good when he was practicing the acoustic by himself.. very good stuff. You guys sound wonderful together
keep doing these videos men ... they are great and I love them!
Definitely more videos like this. When we boil everything down it's ALL about this. The art.
More studio journals! This was awesome!
came to this via Rick's channel. Very interesting to learn about how the right tone and vibe can be elusive to start with and needs time and experimentation in the studio.
Nice video, You get the flavor of the studio and recording, which I love...
Thank you for being authentic. It shows.
Really enjoying your behind the scenes videos. I’d definitely love more of this style, especially studio sessions, but gigs, touring, even rehearsing would also be great. Keep up the great work man. No plan B.
Man, this was really cool. I wish I was doing this genre of music back in my band days, so much more flavor and options than your typical metal/punk music. Although I will say studio time was pretty easy. :) Thanks again Rhett, your hard work is very much appreciated.
Love the process and behind the scenes.
Love this Rhett! Thank you!
I’m headed to a studio in San Antonio in March to play lead on 4 new tracks for an EP with a Texas country band called Chase the Night. The more tips for productivity the merrier! We’re booked 2 days also.
The band dropped a good single last month, should be fun!
Yees!!! More recording and studio videos please!
Very interesting !
Lovely studio and great equipment!
Love it the creative process is very interesting on how you choose the best part
Hard work but man a more rewarding and satisfying job I can't really imagine.
Living the dream, dude!
This is such a cool concept! Nice one, dude, keep doing them :D
I really like this type of video. As a viewer, getting into an actual studio and watching parts of a work day, and how things are managed and performed, is very interesting and entertaining to me. I would like to see more of these, and make them longer and more comprehensive too, if that's possible without being too distracting from the actual work day. Thx !!
great stuff rhett! you always make me want to pick up my guitar!
I was always wondering how this worked. Glad I found your channel. Thanks 🙏
Dude, I love your videos. Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago. I love my job, but in another life I would have loved being a professional musician. Getting back into Guitar after a couple of years hiatus. Started playing 20 years ago, and am more in love with it than ever. Oh, and by the way, my day job is professional videography. And your stuff is legit. Great storytelling, great look. Wonderful stuff, man. And keep doing more behind the scenes stuff like this. I dig it.
Thanks Kevin! Where can I see your work?
We have a Vimeo page but not all of it is my stuff. Here’s a short doc I worked on last year though: vimeo.com/235964080
Awesome there is more Noah coming...go well!
Loved this! Please do Vlog your process of putting together your Lead tones (and your approach) when you are recording them! that would be a cool insight to look into
I love "The Valley". Looking forward to this one.
Thank you, i learned a lot. I appreciate you
Great video Rhett!
Fascinating...really enjoyed that...a whole different language among the pros. Subbed.
sounds excellent brother. keep it up man.
That amp with P90 sounds ridiculously good!! Love the sound of these songs keen to here them! 👍
Seeing you walking around with in ears on...curious to see your thoughts on different iems, budget, custom vs standard, etc.
Great video. More studio vlogs and maybe some more footage of the mixing process would be great.
These videos are some of my favorites.
Loving your tones!!
Former barista here who has been learning bass guitar. Love your channel, and that cup of coffee you were brewing in the start of the video looked great. Nothing beats some fresh ground beans.
Follow-up question: How have things changed for you and Noah since he was on America's Got Talent? He was one of my favorite contestants and I thought it was awesome that you've been with him long before he was on the show. Have you guys been spending more time recording/touring together since?
Really enjoyed this video man!
Great video. Yes, more please! 👍
gosh, your toneeee, so perfect
Hell or Highwater is incredible! Yall knocked it out of the park on that one.
That was excellent! More please...
Looking forward to listen to this here in Brazil!!!
I'm with the guy below...more studio journals...just fascinating!
I admire your restraint in sitting down while playing that hard-driving first song, a real stomper. Reckon that's the difference between the relatively antiseptic studio environment and a noisy live venue, but the way you've played it in the gig videos you've posted-it would seem a psychological response to stand up and start rocking out.
Wow this is awesome. This is Studio 101 in Upstate, SC. The owner Brad is a good friend of mine. I’ve recorded in this studio many times very cool
Highly entertaining, keep up the good work .
Great music guys!
Very cool Vid Rhett!! More of this please!!
