I've just found this exact same problem: what started as dim rear and indicator lights turned into dashboard warnings. I've just taken the rear light unit off and pin 3 is almost completely gone! We must be the few people that have actually worn out the turn signal on their bimmers :-P
Thanks for the tips - off to order some replacement parts now

Hi. The repair kit I bought didn't come with those green or blue rubber for the wiring harness. Is it OK if I don't use them?

    Thanks ...
I think the connector pin No. 3 that you mentioned as "turn light.." is Ground (-).

Thanks for this, I just bought the kit and the cover as mine is exactly the same. Do you know what size/type of crimp tool you used? That’s the only thing I don’t know. Thanks in advance.

Hey man sorry for the delay! Once you push the wire into the new metal connector its pretty snug. I used some needle nose pliers to bend and crimp the collar of the connector around the wire insulation. Has been working great for over a year now.

Krazy Content I did it today and so far so good! Held off contemplating a crimp tool but the pliers work fine too. Good man! Thank you .

Hmm what exactly have you replaced? Have you checked the fuse associated with the turn signal?
