Torx T10 and be careful removing glass, I’d recommend prying from bottom center and then bottom either side just off centre. There is a significant risk of cracking the mirror from near side praying as shown in the video, nonetheless thank you to Martin, bmw wanted £120 even though under warranty, eBay £20 delivered and 20mins of my time plus I know it’s done properly
I need to do this soon as my lamp has stopped working. Good vid to show how its done but I had to watch half of it with my head on it side! Be better if whole vid was shot in landscape mode!
I would really appreciate it if anyone can get back to me with an answer to my question. Can you remove the whole assembly this way? That remaining frame is there a screw holding that in place around that area or is it connected to the inside of the door frame. Meaning I would have to take out the whole door panel and stuff just to get the whole assembly out?
you didnt show how to connect the wires for example i have 5 wires 3 of them connected to a switch 2 of them are withouth the clamp so what should i do
you wish! its annoying. you have to replace the whole strip. BUT I think a good electronics guy/gal could do it after all its a blown bulb...! you would need solder etc and it looks like the bulb strip isnt designed to be opened
