Thanks. A garage quoted me over £100 to do this on one side only. With the help of your video, I replaced it for £15 on both sides.

Excellent video I just swapped my lights out on my 2012 X1 in 35 minutes both sides! And I guess the only thing missing is just hit the hazard button at each step to ensure it works. But apart from that, great thanks

Great video and explained it clearly for me (who doesn't usually do much on their own car!).
wish I had seen the link under your video for genuine parts though as I got cheap "smoked effect" ones off ebay which are ok but I prefer genuine things! Will see how I get on with these and maybe nip on here and buy myself a genuine set in future

Great video. Any idea if this would work for the 1 series 2022 model (F40 )? I’m assuming it has a similar mirror construction and position of clips?
Ive not replaced one on the f40 shape but yeah id say it should be very similar mate
Was an awesome help in fitting a new one to my 1 series.....found out i had a heated mirror but no switch in the car ? Cheers
When they are heated it’s automatic , they never have a switch 👍
I believe they come on with the heated rear window according to Google

I just changed mine with led aftermarket and i can tell you it’s straight forward job you just have to be careful with mirrors that’s all

Thanks for this video mate. Are the aftermarket sequential LED's any good? My local BMW has just the right for $75 VS aftermarket both side LED units, a screwdriver and a removal tool for $40.
I am betting that my internal connector will be corroded too...had same problem with my rear tail light corroding of the ground connection and light malfunctioning.
Not too sure tbh , I’ve not tried the aftermarket ones , sometimes the don’t always work very well with the bulb failure / cambus

Hello, i have a problem with my lights, it just died and when i treid to replace them i saw that the contant or what its called had some waterdrops in/on it so the new lights didt work. This happend after when i washed my car. Do u think that i have to replace the hole contact? And do you know what the contact called? 😊
