Social media fitness makes me laugh because in my real day-to-day life, I’ve had family members, roommates, soccer/bball teammates, and my girlfriend all comment on how I look “jacked”, “strong”, or even “big” since I started lifting heavily in March. Although I am pretty muscular and athletic for my size, I am literally only 5’9 140 LBs, so I am far from being considered anything but average Hitting the gym and building muscle in itself is impressive and noticeable to most people, regardless of overall size. However, everyone online has been tricked into believing that you need to be a brick-house of 190 LBs or more to even look like you go to the gym. It’s so disconnected from reality and definitely messes with my motivation sometimes
