Shame that a cricket game that came out nearly 15 years ago is better in terms of batting animations and injury cutscenes. We are In 2024, where a certain studio is concerned only about licenses 🙃

This is one of my favourite cricket games,I still remember playing it for the first time in 2010...It was such a great feeling shifting from ea cricket 2007,wish all the teams were licensed though.

Yes, Although Big Ant has introduced a very nice Broadcast camera in Cricket 24, the Ashes 09 one is much smoother.
@@RahulRants the 09 one looks a lot more realistic especially after the ball has been hit in the air and the camera searches for the ball. Even the angle of the camera is very realistic. BigAnt's broadcast camera angle is too low

I still do play it on my laptop along with Cricket 07. The reason why I haven't purchased Cricket 24 yet, it's because i'm waiting on updates on some of the new T20I kits for World Cup.
That's nice. I am kind of bored with Cricket 24 now as they are concentrating more on licenses. Batting has become really boring!

What a great game this was. Im sure it wont hurt big ant to take some features out of this game and add it in theres, this game is pure realism and the commentary just adds to it. You can really tell care and love was present when they made this game. I sometimes think big ant rush their games and focus on the game looking good instead of actually feeling good, with the technology thats out now they should really be making an out of this world game but instead it just seems lazy or maybe lack of funding, who knows?
Dont thing funding is an issue now as it si done by Nacon. They are just making too many games in a year! Cricket, Rugby, AFL, Tennis all within one year. Even AAA companies don't do that.

what game design is this, you watch the video again. ball hits the right side of the helmet batsman holds the right side of the helmet, then in next camera angle, batsman holding left side of the helmet and bat in right hand. why there is no static camera angle while bowling, there is an awkward movement of camera tilting up while the ball reaches the bat, the rest of the game looks awesome, the game play looks better than Cricket 14
@@johnnewman3221 the game came out 15 years ago. You get even worse animations in today’s cricket games. You have batsman batting with cap and changing it to helmet magically when he moves to non striker side, batsman not even moving an inch after getting hit smack on head, and many other stuff
@@RahulRantsI know, I tried those recent games not satisfactory, especially that spin bowling in higher difficulty in don 14. That rotating the joystick was stupid, t missed this game. I really liked this game, is there a fix for the camera tilt, how to remove the ball landing marker, then this game will be much more interesting.
You can remove the ball marker in settings. The pitch marker also, but the previous update made pitch maker mandatory even for standard control bowling.
@@RahulRants it appears that there is no instant selection for direction of shot like in cricket 07, have you tried playing without marker. The game launched the first time, now it keeps crashing. Any ideas to run it smoothly

The only thing this game lacks is an autoplay option and it doesn’t work without CD. Otherwise the game is the best I have played till now.

Animation wise 2009 is pretty! But gameplay wise Don Bradman Cricket 14 changes the game! Ashes 17 was another gem!

Hey, did u face any frame drops? I have been playing this on my old potato laptop for years but I'm facing frame drop on my acer aspire with 1650
Limit frame rate to 60 before you start using RIVA TUNER or sm other app..also if your monitor refresh rate is higher go to display setting and reduce it to around 60

Cricket games need only one thing perfect i.e. Competitive gameplay.... Graphics can change every alternate year as it gets monotonous after some time...but game play has to be perfect...

Now playing Rc 24 is amazing 😍😍 in mobile better than cricket 24.......Rc 24 has some similarities with ashes cricket 2009🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I appreciate that, but overall I dont agree with it. Mobile games have their limitations and even though C24 has some bugs it is a pc and console game and hence much more powerful and has lot of features especially bowling.
I believe the bowling aspect of c24 is much better than any game has provided thus far. It is complete!

Bowling mechanics of Cricket 24 is pretty good and complete. One of the best so far. Don’t think they can go any further than that other than adding better animations and more actions
@@RahulRants I can't say that as I have not played this. The older up to cricket 17 I have played all so in that regard bowling is like this year ipl. Just hit you in ashes 09 they play bazball if the length& line is not right.

Bakwas hai. Front foot shot maarte time hook shot lag jata hai. Yourker pr bhi kabhi ka baar hook shot me bold ho jata hai
You have to use controls to change foot. Frontfoot and backfoot has separate controls.
I Havent faced any such issues in the game so far. You might be leaving controls “automatic” for footwork
