both games are good to play,but ea cricket 07 having player stats that was a uniqueness of this game and great vibe to play by updating our own gameplay records..and we can check the stats of the players in team management.

Cricket 07 has more modes, setting, game atmosphere etc but the point is, The Body movement, Cricket 07 a much old game, a game of not so digitalized era, still has a smooth and realistic body movements while releasing the ball, Making shots, the Throw, the bat swing, the Camera movements, etc, almost looks similar to real game players movements
-- well im not saying it was very realistic but somewhat, it couldve got more realistic, more features, modes if they kept releasing...but it wasnt not so less smooth and realistic regarding the time

I used to play EA cricket 07 - almost everyday, until I discovered ashes 09- never went back to EA cricket 07..
still play sometimes to this day and never gets boring even during test matches while test matches in EA cricket 07 was very very boring

I feel scammed and jealous of seeing the buttery smooth animations in ashes 09😢😢, How did they make the shots look so pleasing and real, but now it looks utter garbage?

Some shots on ashes cricket 09 were not realistic, some balls would be full and you would still be able to play off the backfoot easy
But in Cricket 2007 you could hit everything for six, which made the game pointless after a while!

One of the problems I found lag of modding community for ashes cricket or brian lara cricket series. 2017,2019 gameplay improvement and sadly in 2022 last an ipl mod released for ashes cricket 2009 but then there is no mod. Even a youtuber get email for showing mod when the game is totally abandoned. If it get modding support it can also be an cult classic.
The older ashes games were not made by Big Ant. Big ant started with DBC 14.
Ashes 09 was made by transmission games and published by codemasters.

Cricket 07 didn't really have any bowling actions actually. Ashes 09 had some and Cricket 24 has 17 fast bowling and around 8-9 spin bowling actions,
