@Black_raider-oj3dwI’m in year 12 with a decent amount of experience. If you want to hit really fast bowling. You should do a drill where all you do it track and look at the ball without actually hitting the ball. Later you would want to focus on timing the ball and shot choice. Considering it’s a fast bowler, you’ll have to use you feet a lot. If he bowls a bouncer or a ball with high bounce, go on the back foot and if he bowls it more full, use your front foot
@@dasportsfan2122I’m in y9, and when I play counties what if find helps with facing fast bowling is to either dig in during their first spell and wait for them to tire or to go hard and aggressive and throw them off of their line and lengths
@@Nhbgyvftdr yes, used to this as well when I was younger as it helped me get used to their bowling for one and like you said tire them. Now however I use like 1 over max in the beginning and then start playing balanced and when I’m fully settled, I start playing more aggressive.
The Dutch just had their final game in the Cricket World Cup 2023 last evening. You must be very proud of how far they have come. You should totally do a video with the boys when they return home. I think Dutch cricket has a very bright future.
C'mon lad I swear that goalkeeper is much difficult but Wicketkeeper is way harder and makes stronger on your focus so you nailed it As Wicketkeeper Well 85Mph was nearly like a bullet 🔥❤ Love from srilanka
Awesome stuff! One thing I'll say is that a big difference between a goalkeeper and a wicketkeeper is that a wicketkeeper lets the ball come to them. They don't reach for the ball like a goalkeeper does. Reaching for it and taking it means that it'll hit your hands harder, so your hands will get sore much quicker.
good wicketkeepers reach out for ball and soften it by bringing it into the body. this is a key wk principle and doesn’t hurt the hands if you start out and bring it in.
You made some awesome catches! One suggestion I would make with cricket is not to snatch at the ball but let it come into your hands as it is a harder ball it doesn’t have the natural cushion that a football one might have.
Your dedication is on another level! From fielding drills to wicket-keeping skills, this journey is intense and inspiring. Love the passion for cricket in your content. Can't wait to see you elevate your game. 🏏💪
I do think there is a room for improvement, but success doesn't happen overnight. I think that if you keep practicing, you will get there. Do keep in mind that us cricketers dread the people who catch what is called 'crocodile hands', it looks ugly and if you don't catch it properly, doing crocodile hands can break your fingers. Try using a cup to catch the ball. It looks much more professional and it is better for your fingers. Keep on going king! You will get there!!!
The 85 mph was impressive that’s like the pace of a pro bowler, I guess goalkeeping skills must carry across because a lot of wicketkeepers wouldn’t catch those
@@mobeenbadshah5586 yeah but he’s international I’m saying a lot of club keepers wouldn’t take those This is a guy who’s never played cricket before, he’s in no way comparable to someone who’s dedicated their life to cricket
"Wicketkeeper" as a position on the field of cricket requires special skills and very skillful keepers are rare today. Apart from the technique, one has to appreciate that Keepers in Test matches squat for 7 hours a day for 2-3 days depending on how good the track is. Tracks can help the ball to swing/seam/wobble/turn,/bounce,/keep low and all other weird stuff, So, its a tough gig everytime.
Not bad for a days worth of practising. For me only thing I’d say is having soft hands and letting the ball come to you as you are moving your hands towards your body would result in you taking more catches and also not hurting as much but very impressive.
