Ashes 2009 is as realistic as it could get since 1985... gameplay is extremely competitive. It is the only cricket game suitable for people with proper cricketing sense. This is why kids go for the 6xhitting cartoons from EA

2005 was toughest. No difficulty level but closely realistc. Patience is very much required to win in 2005 cricket. Then comes 2007 which has different difficulty.
Note- kevin pitersen and andrew flintoff in 2005 cricket at high confidence level is fire.

@@sunilsipun9799that is only partially true. EA did want to make more cricket games realising it's potential but BCCI was too greedy and was demanding crazy amount of money for the Indian team license. If not for the greed of BCCI we would have had another cricket game from EA

After watching all this I highly feel EA cricket 2007 is perfect example of how a game should be made , the graphics are smooth. The bowling and batting animations seen realistic. The gameplay is smooth and engaging not overly complicated different difficulty level to choose from . The camera and angles are nicely done . That's how a cricket game should be made
cric 007 was so easy , even hardest difficulty was joke ,that advanced lofted shot was OP.
I used to play one on the C64 called Graham Gooch Allstar Cricket. Batting was surprisingly fun even though you just timed the shot on the fire button. You could edit the teams on that one, too.

Brian Lara 98 on the PS1 was a gem. I loved that game the most. Cricket 24 by Big Ant has been the best game in a long time
I played so much NES and SNES cricket as a kid. Figured out ways to get the opponents out cheaply, and even though I crushed teams, I still enjoyed them. Shane Warne Cricket and Ricky Ponting were my favourites on more modern consoles.

I remember getting ea 1996 in a weetbix packet. I remember it so well because it was pretty much a direct port of super inter cricket from the SNES. Nearly failed year 11 due to how much I played WeetBix Cricket.
I still crank out an emulator to play Super International Cricket, it's such a great game
