    Excellent videos overall. God bless.
    Kindly note that at 6:06 I heard "...to select a gear...". I hope it is worth mentioning.

    The life calculation method described in this video has been developed in the 1940s. The basic rating life was the very first life model, and it has later been enhanced with e.g. the effect of lubricant or contamination.
    It should be clearly stated that this is only a very rough estimate for calculation bearing life! More advance models should be used to do a more realistic calculation, reflecting more of the application conditions

    I have a bearing in a transmission that, when it fails, ruins the torque converter. It is a ball, and I wonder if a barrel roller bearing would do better. I just wonder if barrel type can run 1000 to 2500 rpm.

    we know, FL^(1/a) = constant.
    But in the last example, 9:03 - 9:31 ,
    using desired value, we get,
    for bearing A , FL^(1/a) = 92605.83
    for bearing B , FL^(1/a) = 138908.75
    how can we choose load and desired life independently ? [ But F & L are no independent]
    or
    how is it possible for certain reliability the FL^(1/a) gives different value?

    Sir, the answers at the end of this video of C10 for 200 lbs and c10 for 300 lbs, seems to be incorrect.
