Because the target demographic for Macs isn’t gamers, the same can’t be said for windows. Also, you can still emulate Windows games on M-series Macs incredibly well, the same can’t be said for the Snapdragon ARM chips.
i am soooo regretful that I didn't research ARM before i got this. i just looked up comparison specs for the snapdragon vs intel stuff, and didn't even realise that ARM is new enough that loads of companies just aren't supporting it. My vpn and antivirus don't work on it, which isn't a HUGE deal, but annoying enough that I would have chosen the vivobook pro instead. I don't play a huge amount of games on PC, but I would have liked the option to use that RTX 4050. the battery and screen are really good though, and I guess I'll see how it fares with my art programs
Excellent review. I'll stick to Intel. I've experienced enough of driver issues with Linux. ARM and drivers will take a huge amount of time to work without issues.
I mean, it’s a Vivobook at the end of the day. They are supposed to be relatively affordable home notebooks, not business class notebooks like the Surface pro etc
well said! maybe 2 years from now if it's already stable. I will definitely buy this. For now, I'll stick with intel ultra series.
but ultra 9 doesn't run stable at all 🤨🤔
How people are commenting about Games on ARM misses that they're not even available on M Series Macs. Apple didn't have to content with games.
They have with using a crossover

I have a question, in how many fps can you run light ARM games ?
