Great comparison. The MXR has more possibilities and seems to go deeper. But I'm surprised at how well the Mooer kept up for a lot less money. You can't go wrong with either one imho!
True! The MXR really goes a little deeper (but adds a tad of more hiss because of that), has one more sound (the Phase 45 setting) and is build better. But it's double the price of the Mooer. I agree, can't go wrong either way!
At coldwar1977 - I can tell you the Mooer is a lot nicer sounding in a live setting, and it has more breadth. The 95 has a bad habit of REALLY changing the color of the notes you are playing, and squashing all of the lower register at the height of the phaser sweep.
The MXR has more clarity and brighter peaks but the Mooer is great for the low price...I have two other fantastic budget mini Moor pedals...the Electric Lady flanger and Mod Factory Ii😎
The Mooer sounds like it has pre-delay built in, which can be cool for certain applications. Example: To move the phase out of the way of the initial vocal phrasing in a mix. You may want the attack of the guitar along with the vocal, but the phase starts milliseconds afterwards. That keeps the vocal a focal point and core of the song in the mixing stages.
The Mooer has a plus side in all the demos I’ve heard, it’s mixed with the original signal more in case you don’t want the full on effect (to my ears anyway)
Mooer sounds more musical with a deeper growl but without getting in the way of the note. The MXR has too many artifacts in some of the settings and the oscillations become louder than the notes. I can imagine it getting in the way of the playing in a band context where you would probably struggle to hear what you are playing behind all the wash. I'd prefer to use a standard block or script MXR (no the 95 sounds like neither of its big brothers) or the Mooer if a small footprint is needed. Thanks for the comparison 😊
Excellent comparaison, thanks The MXR has more depth and more controls, though the Mooer is good too and great value for money, just bought their E-Lady flanger and l am quite happy with it. Keep up the good work BTW in your didn't include the blue mono chorus (M 234?), it's terrific and quite affordable
I built my whole board with EBS Gold flat cables. After 2 yrs have not had any problems or nor has the gold plating worn down at all. I really like these cables and totally recommend them. Not cheap but will last and bend any way you need. Also I got the Mooer liquid phase and its pretty great also.
That MXR 100 may as well be a boutique pedal with that first setting all the way to the left. I hate the 100, but that one setting is my favorite in the room and in every demo.
I have the 95 and think it's great for what it is suppose to do. But at the end of the day I pick one setting and use it. Or else keep bending down trying to adjust it. And that applies to all my peddles unless they're midi capable. Set it and hope I am happy in the mix. AGGGHHHHHH
I agree, even though I really like the overall effect. It would be helpful if they at least told us what additional pedals and settings were being used.
My 90 crapped our about 15 years ago. I only use pedals at home. Playing in punk bands for 25 years. But loved my 90. Been playing with my 68 Princeton at home a lot more and rebuilding my pedal collection I got rid of over the years. But always missed my 90. And always liked the script a lot more. But for something I wont be recording with of playing live I was looking for a similar budget pedal to my script 90. Watched 100 videos. lol. People seem to like the Joyo. And I do like how mellow it is. But Im really liking this one. Very nice comparison. But if you have any other suggestions. Or if anybody does. Id love to hear them. I have my SD 1 to break the princeton up. Not looking for more. Have a 5150 for that. Have my DD 20 which Ive always loved. and my GE 7. Budget Donner reverb which actually sounds amazing. So all I really want to get my little bluesy clean pickin at home rig iwhere I want is a decent phaser. Any feedback is greatly appreciated,

If you want to compare 2 similar phasers, remove that delay!
My very first thought when it started!

interesting point

The mooer sound great! More trasparent,no Low cut,no extra brighter,no boost. Moeer forever!
No talking, but so much bloody delay I can barely hear what's going on.
What Reverb are you using in this video? Amazing Reverb
Excellent comparaison, thanks

Nice comparison, thank you! what patch cable is that? i like the tiny plugs!
I think the patch cable is ebs.

MXR for me, the little Mooer was good. I still use the old school MXR 100. I use the Mooer Slow Engine, they are good pedals.
That MXR 100 may as well be a boutique pedal with that first setting all the way to the left. I hate the 100, but that one setting is my favorite in the room and in every demo.
Love Both, but MXR is The winner!
AMAZING!!!
MXR has more headroom.
excellent shootout I may say

The delay and reverb make it more difficult to hear what the pedals are doing. Next time just the pedals in question please.

Mooer !🎉
The Mooer is currently $68. The MXR is $89. Much less difference in price. I’d rather have the MXR
I have not seen the MXR for under $99 new anywhere. Right now Sweetwater has the Mooer for $29 new. $70 difference is significant.
Original signal sounded like it had chorus. I want to hear the pedal.
Very nice demo., No more talking,. Let the instruments talk :-)
Mooer is thinner sounding..
exellent
Headroom !
What's the point of comparing two phasers when you're gonna dip the signal in some reverb? ugh.
if you cant hear the phaser effect thenn you haveshity speakers, im sorry
MXR is better to me, Mooer not bad at all though, the contrary!
Depends on application requested.
The mooer is good if you are sure you will never need to invest more
