According to the World Air Sports Federation (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale), astronauts are those who flew above the Kármán line, at an altitude of 62 miles or 100 kilometers.
The rocket plane of virgin galactic can reach closely that limit at approximately 56 miles or 90 kilometers.
The Concorde supersonic passenger aircraft could flight at 20 kilometers or nearly 13 miles. At that hight the curvature of earth was visible and the blue sky was much darker.
SpaceX and Blue origin don't have any manned testing yet. So there is not fatalities. Virgin Galactic has many manned flights and unfortunately a death and a serious injury.
Apollo NASA program had three deaths during the testing of Apollo 1. The space shuttle program had two deadly missions with Challenger in 1986 and Columbia in 2003. The Soyuz program is much older than the space shuttle program and is considered much more safer but like space shuttle had two deadly missions too. The first Soyuz 1 in 1967 and the second Soyuz 7K-OKS in 1971.
So the history has taught as that most manned space projects have a death toll.
Of course during the history of passenger aviation until now there are continuously nearly every year deadly flights.
Flights are inherently dangerous and space flights are much more.

CubeSats are super exciting if you really think about it. Honestly not something I've thought about too much. To imagine having dense computers able to give us information about our environment in almost real-time while being just above our heads is a very powerful thought.

Here's a chance for flat earthers to see the curvature of the Earth for themselves :D

Do you really think insulting my intelligence is an effective technique at getting your point across?
Look, there are people on this planet that will take every position possible, even mutually exclusive ones.
I fully agree that a proportion of people joined the scheme for the controversy and the temporary spotlight because they're attention whores, but believe you me when I say that there definitely exist people who actually think this.

And here's a chance for you to see there's no curvature expect in CGI or fisheye lenses. 5:43

I was just about to slam dunk a multi billion dollar deal buying up several oil fields and screwing over a satisfyingly large number of small countries whilst netting myself a personal fortune ranging in the billions when I saw how small and fragile our planet is and I thought to myself: "you know what Prickfeatures" (that's my name - (I had Tory parents) ) "you should be getting more from this deal"

It's a fantastic joyride, though the fact that I can't afford it does makes the grapes a bit sour. But if the business works, maybe one day it'll get cheaper?

The plan is international travel faster than sound since Sonic booms keep traditional SSTs from existing. People routinely paid thousands - tens of thousands to fly Concorde. So if they can get this mastered people will do it again. USA - Australia in a couple of hours is a real game changer.
