most of 6-1/2 blades have 5/8 arbor size, most 7-1/4 have 20mm arbor

You’re right it is difficult! That’s why I’m here… it’s the plastic blade guard. The blade hits the guard towards the back of saw. You have to tilt blade INSIDE of plastic blade guard. It’s not obvious at first. I figured it out on my own after watching video.
