Never took notice of it because I worked a lot as a teacher.....but now as I am retired, it has gotten worse.....I don't understand the sputum tests they want...I can't give a lot of plegm first thing in the morning, so my sample is very minimal...even when I did it in the office with 7% sodium in nebulizer, It wasn't that productive....BUT i cough all day!!!!!!...I'm not happy with my doctor...its like she waits for me to contact her about everything I've read, and doesn't seem proactive!!!!!
I had no underlying conditions hardly ever had coughs or colds,apart from 23 years ago,had a bad reaction to some gloss paint,ended up on an inhaler,then 5 years ago had pneumonia,not bad enough to be hospitalised.On the British NHS website it said it can be caused by having a chest infection as a young child.😮
A chest x-ray said I was clear,I only ended up getting a CT scan because I mentioned I had lost 7 pounds in weight in a week,so had a CT scan ,which showed Bronchiectasis
SMH drugs are not always the answer. They can cause more damage than good. Especially when they can affect other organs. Please before you start recommending drugs. Fully educate people on the side effects of all these drugs.
Sir my mother is suffering from cystic bronchiteasis and she was admitted in aiims... Now she has been prescribed Tobramycin, duolin respules... And a antibiotic tablet 750 mg twice daily... Followup after 25 days
