I have some favorite sewing channels I regularly watch, and had to say how gifted you are, especially in your fabric choices. I see lots of people choose and sew fabrics that are such a range of colors/patterns, and only a few that are really flattering to the design of the garment, and to the wearer. You impressed me with every choice, and there wasn't a single fabric I wouldn't love to purchase for myself. You have a great understanding of your figure type, what you enjoy sewing, your best colors and how to combine them all into an outstanding dress. Kudos.
This was a great video showcasing easy and soft flowing patterns that look makeable for a novice sewer like me. Loved all the styles. The hard part is picking one to start with!

I love, yes LOVE when you do this type of video. It's a perfect way to inspire one to sew a seasonal garment. I place a red circle sticker on my knit patterns differentiating them from the wovens.

I took a break this A.M. and decided to search RUclips for Summer dress patterns. I looked over a few channels before I landed in the Dahlia Sew-ciety and let me tell you the others were downright boring and mostly uninspiring in comparison to your picks. Not only that- I found a few websites I had never visited before (I simply love diving down this sort of rabbit hole)with dresses that made my heart do a bit of a leap. And you generously shared your fabric finds! : D You have won me over. Thank you.

Hi Kristen! These dresses were so pretty! Each one had it's own style and attitude. I loved them all and particularly the fabrics. The first one was so feminine. Just loved them all.
Your Sophia dress is the best of all! The bodice shaping is very complimentary on you and midi length is definitely your best. You are to be commended for such a huge commitment 🧵.
Ahh you look lovely in all of those dresses and you know what colors, patterns, and styles look good w your bone structure and coloring, which is important! 🤩

Your dresses are beautiful! I especially love the Eva, the Hope and Sydney Designer dresses. I’ve made the Eva dress and love it so much I need to make another in the sleeveless version, but then I see all the dresses you’ve made and think I should just try something else! So many choices, so little time! It’s so great to see all these dresses made up, it is really inspiring! Thank you!
That was really useful Kristen, thank you. I think the Lola dress is just what I need for the beautiful piece of silk I got for £1,99 (!) at a charity shop. Both those lantern shaped dresses look really beautiful on you, I think it would suit me too...🤔

Well you know my favorite dress - but I have to say that I love the shirred dress! I would have done the same thing with the shoulders; I don't like things falling off either. I have to say, I also like the Sydney Designer Dress from Style Arc too - that shape is just beautiful. May have to give that one a try. Thanks for showing us all of these, especially when I know it was chilly outside! ❤️🤗
@@vickyls8132 thanks so much! I’m wearing a half slip in a very light viscose jersey but only under the dresses that are transparent! On a very hot day ( over 35 cels) Id probably avoid wearing it though!

@@thedahliasewciety thank you for the empathy. No, fortunately i'm not affected. We have had a lot of rain but not that much. I live in the region "ammerland" . It is close to the north sea. The floods are more south. Cologne, Duesseldorf...

I loved every single dress on you but my fav was the tulip sleeve one. I have loved that sleeve style ever since my mom made a dress for me like that for my shower! I don’t know whatever happened to that pattern. Thank you for this. And I might add that your garden/patio background looks great too :)

Goodness hard to pick a favourite in that lot! All so very pretty. I’ve made a few of them but that very first one caught my eye. I made that fabric up in stitchbird dress which came up quite nicely. Can’t wait for spring. Our winter days here have been around + 17 or 18 c. Can’t beat that for winter. And in a few days the days start to get longer. How crazy is that. I think I’ll put the brakes on sewing up winter garments. Can’t wait for your knit dresses video.
