This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).
Like others have stated, it is not a very clean install. I have no doubt it works and is up to code, but I would be pissed if I paid for a professional install and this was the result.
Might as well go watch the video about how you get the water temp over 120deg F. Nobody thinks to do that during the initial setup, but you're probably going to want it up around 130-140deg.
’Im currently having built a log cabin on a trailer from Lancaster log cabins. Included in my cabin is a regular tank water heater, but I sprung extra $ for a tankless water heater. They install the water heater outside on the rear of the trailer. In speaking with a few friends, most have agreed concerns about the water heater freezing in the winter months when no hot water is sought. I know nothing about these systems, although I’ve attempted to find out info on them. I can still have them put a tank water heater in, I’m not sure which way to go. I’d like to use the cabin in the winter months, It is going to be in the poconos (Pennsylvania) I may try to winterize each weekend I’m done using. In your professional opinion would it be better for me to just stick with the tank water heater or get the tankless? Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Oh the tankless water heater is made by rinnai on demand V53dep

I just figured it out, there is a delta temp versus min. flow that the unit uses to prevent the heating element from burning out. I had it set to 98F for my showers. The water coming in was 84f from the street. The difference was to small for the unit safely start. I had to bump the temp. to 110F to meet the minimum criteria btw temp and minimum flow .
@@ultimateplumbingrepairinc.7439 I NEEDED to open 2 FAUCETS full blown to get the minimum flow for the unit to start. I explained on a comment earlier that i figured it out.
our on demand / tank-less water heater system is messed up. This one has a recalculation pump. It seem we only get hot water when another hot water tap is open than it seems to heat water fine than after a minute the water flow completely shuts off. If I turn the hot water valve off for a minute or so it will turn on with good flow for about a minute than completely shuts off the water flow. Anyone every had this issue, and how did you fix it ? Thanks
Hello I live in alameda county in California. Does anybody know if it it’s ok to run a pex piping for tankless pipe? For the hot & cold? Rather than stainless braided flex one?
Bellyfat not true. Water quality is about the only real issue you need to consider but they have ways to fix that. Due the annual maintenance and they will last for a long time.
Tankless, hello, tankless... Where does water expand without a body of storage like a tank. Tankless = no expansion tank. And you call yourselves professionals?!
That is one of the most god-awful ugly piping jobs I have ever seen if I was the owner of that house I would make you repipe it plumb level Square the installer should be ashamed of themselves.
They work on demand, so as soon as you turn your hot water on in the shower or kitchen sink, the heater senses the flow of water and kicks on the burner. In my tankless it's a 200,000 BTU burner. So basically it only heats the water as you use it, it doesn't keep it stored and hot like a conventional hot water heater. Hope that helps.

We did the tankless, haven't looked back. Def worth it. 🙌🏿
That's great!
This looks awful. At least try to cut your 2x6's straight? Wouldn't give me great confidence in the rest of the install.
EXACTLY what I was thinking on the 2 X 6's horrible install, but they probably do tons of these. still no excuse.
Definitely would’ve brought my supply water closer to the corner and made it look neat lol
Like others have stated, it is not a very clean install. I have no doubt it works and is up to code, but I would be pissed if I paid for a professional install and this was the result.
if the side of the water heater is leveled, isn't bottom of it should be level too?
Not that professional-looking of an installation. Should have patched the drywall and painted the wood.
Code requires at least 18" of copper pipe off of hot side because of water temperature, after that you can turn into pex.
Looks great! Space saver, money saver = win win
Water leak saver = win win win
Been seeing these guys all over youtube lately 👍
Dont need an expansion tank on a tankless hot water heater
Yeah, I would definitely leave this to professionals.
Crappy install
Nice job Adam & Anthony
Thank you for the video!

You could have taken the extra 5 minutes and leveled the water lines....
I am getting a code 11 on a new unit. Model v65i. It has never worked.
Looks easy peasy 😂😭😆
Waiting on more project videos

Does it really save a lot.

Could you do a video on how to do the wiring when adding a grunfos gtk15
Looking good!

Are tankless water heaters cheaper than tank water heaters
dag that looks neat!
What is better a separate boiler and water heater or a Rinnai combo unit?

Looks pretty sloppy to me
the *ULTIMATE PLUMBING* solution 😏
I JUST INSTALLED MY ru130in RINNAI, I CAN JUST GET HOT WATER IF I TURN 1 FAUCET AND A SHOWER OR 2 FAUCETS AT THE SAME TIME.. ANY CLUE?
Hey Arnaldo, so you're only getting hot water to 1 fixture at a time or you need to turn on 2 fixtures to get hot water?

Sounds like your flow rate is not high enough at the first faucet. Replace it with a faucet that will do at least .4 gpm and retry
we got a new one left the old facet in works fine @@laythenyoung8212

What happens to the old tank
How much do they charge total with tank
Whats that silver bag looking thing
Are they better than hybrids
It depends... thanks - please visit g.page/UltimatePlumbingAndRepair?share for updates

Water doesn’t get heated unless a tap is open, hello...
how long does it take to heat up
No real difference between tank and tankless
@@nateperez1999 Did you just vomit words?
This dont need a condensate line?
I saw it on the right side….right?
Bent the shelf support while removing old heater and left the old one???? What you do, hammer it into shape....LOL
I wanna be anthony when I grow up haha
Out with the obsolete! rip 😭
You the protectional .this luck like Mike mouse jods
This is why I do shit myself. I’m tired of paying people top dollar for subpar work. This whole install looks sloppy. I would not have accepted this.
Any install with natural gas scares the crap outta me
I'd totally mess this up lol
No hangers/ bracing on the supply lines sloppy looking job.
We could use this

What a mess of an install. Hope the duct was cut because none of the white part isn’t rated for exterior. 🤦🏻♂️
My Dad would kick my butt for doing something so sloppy!!
My landlord is too cheap to do this
What's that graffiti on the tank lol
wtf kinda install was that? i’d have y’all strap all that shit down and repair the sheet rock
Sorry, maybe functional, but horribly piped.
Pick me up
I wanna help
lol

Water lines looked ugly
Sloppy crappie work
You would not ask a videographer to install your plumbing. Why do these plumbers think they can do a competent job making a video? (They didn't).
Ugly installation work. I think I would go with someone more professional
Very shitty install, they obviously don’t take pride in their work
That’s a crap job install
