Agreed, RIBBED is their best studio album-second place is not even close. Erik’s drumming on the album is incredible -I also love how they mic’d the drums. Impressive for an independent record label recording in 1991-before epitaph had SMASH money.
Back in 1997 I was teaching at a place called Computer Learning Center it's shut down now). One of my students (Juan Acosta) would always be listening to music on his portable tape recorder. One day in lab he says, "Hey listen to this track. Don't listen to anything else." So he queued up the song "Together on the Sand" and I loved it! So I went and bought the tape and love the whole album - Ribbed. Great band!
The schools need a mandatory class must pass it to graduate high school, a class fircezch grade that reflects on punk rock not just main stream bands , from harddcore southern california scene of the 1980s joys of controled violance to the guarded stages of the 1990s when punk rock became orgeinased , all this was to converge at one dindgy dive bar or the next in santa cruz california where a mix of punk and metal fans woould collide in some of the lost memmorzble underground sold out shows ever played, fishboone balcony dives at the catylast. Slayer selling out the civic auditorium , tesco vee and the meat men at the vets hall on 7th ave that was one of the most energetic shows ever, all the fans knew the lyrrics a east coast band on the west coast like a home town hero. Great bands great mussisians and the fans loved them. Devoted my life to punk rock and skatboarding 40 fucking years wound not change a thing
