for some people (a lot of people) acne is not simply a case of surface level, its internal physiological processes that have gone wrong which need to be reset. The way the skin creates new cells, keratinisation process and shedding, its s 3 pronged approach if you wish to have clear healthy skin.

Hi Nerida! I know sometimes you will go back and answer questions, so:
1.How do you specifically hydrate the lower levels of skin? Is it going to be mainly topical serums, or is it water intake as well?
2.Is lower level dehydration always the cause of difficult extractions or can some skins just be difficult even with hydration?
3.What do you consider to be an exfoliant? Why don't you consider retinol and AHA's as exfoliants?
    4. Why did you decide not to mix healing gel with the exfoliant on her today?
5.Do you do arm or foot massage in these treatments usually? If so, when?

I'm a little confused as to why its not necessary to exfoliate if you're using the right products? I was under the impression that exfoliating would help the cell turnover rate and there were benefits to doing it often. Can you elaborate?

Hi Nerida, thank you for sharing this video!
I’m currently pregnant and have been experiencing acne on my cheeks. I believe it’s diet related but I’m not sure from what. I don’t eat citrus or dairy because I’m sensitive to it so I’m thinking maybe gluten and/or sugar. I was wondering if you could give some recommendations for a home care regimen to help clear this up that’s also safe to use while pregnant. 😊
I should also mention my skin is dehydrated, sensitive, & acne prone.
Thanks again for everything you do 💕

Just finding this (& you) today... if you happen to see this, I'd love to know why you wanted her to use the purifying masque since I see it's clays, sulfur & witch hazel. I'm still learning how to treat skin types and I know you're saying she has oil but you've said more often that she is very dry & also dehydrated. Would clays/witch hazel somehow not contribute to dehydration or surface dryness?

When will I know with my skin, to not need the exfoliant mask? I have some acne in my chin/jaw area (I react to dairy, and lactose) and react quick with stress. I have been taking care of surface dryness, pigmentation, redness, sensitivity and oily T-zone and will say I have now a combination skin. I use the Q flavanoid with great success after cleansing, and followed by eye treatment (I have just purchased the eye gel) but than I put on 4 pumps of flavanoid, eye treatment and retinol by night. Only use flavanoid at night and when I need extra buffing around my chin/jaw area. I put on the mask only on that area and right now when I use headbands when its cold (norway) and react to sweat I get small irritated bums, not sebum that I treat with flavanoid, aha, retinol and azelaic. I will purchase the healing gel. But when will I know when I dont need to use the exfoliant mask? I think my skin have gotten a good color and a natural glow.
And what is your advice around SPF where we have litterally 1 on the UV index now at winter and SPF in day cream moisturizer :)
Thank you so much :) I am using Retinol at night and AHA at night. I did peel in the beginning, I think the peeling has balanced it self. but retinol at night and aha in day did make me peel :) And what is your take with retinol as alcohol and retinoid?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад

When your skin does not feel surface dry and its really clean and dewy....then you may not need the exfoliant. Its just not something you think about when you don't need it because everything about your skin is working and looking good:))
I always use spf in the winter too. Its an added protection any which way you use it.:)) As for ingredients, retinol vs retinoids.... its all about the formula.

Thank you so much for the videos Nerida! Very informative! How do you know if you're surface dry? Also, do you have any tips on how to get rid of darker spots from pimples and them to fade quicker or how to supply more nutrients to the skin? have recently broken out so much (I broke out as a teen and then just randomly had pimples here and there, but not like this) it's been a few months and they are slowly starting to go away but I still feel some bumps under the skin even though on the actual skin it's flat. I have gone off dairy, eat super healthy use a retinol of.025% I believe and cleanse thoroughly everyday (nom foaming, thank you for the tip) and use a glycolic acid of 5% every other day. But still have dark spots that the acne is leaving behind. I don't wear makeup regularly and use a non comedogenic sunscreen yet somehow still manage to get acne. Any tips or suggestions would be helpful, thank you!!! 😊🙏

I show surface dryness up close on Estrella's video and talk about fading pimple scars in Daniella's videos..... Once you establish which model's skin is similar to yours you can contact the office at educateyourskin@gmail.com for the list of products used for home care. I don't recommend prescription retinols. Every step is important to have the skin work as it should and look great when it comes to your home care products :))

Hi Nerida, I bought the rejuvi aha serum and aha cream a while ago but had to stop using them because they were making me break out. I notice that anytime I use a product with oil in it I break out. I know that a lot of people say oil is ok for the skin, and maybe it is for some people, but it has always been problematic for me.
