If you don’t prep your eyelids properly, you’re not giving eyeshadows a fair shot of what they can do. Especially with colourful eyeshadows. Of course it’s gonna look muddy if they’re competing with the colors of what exists on your lids naturally. You need to block those colts out. Otherwise the shadows won’t be true to color. It doesn’t seem like you did that here from what I can see so that’s maybe where your issues starts and ends. Using concealer or something to prep your eyes will give you a better shot at making this palette work for you. That’s what I think may have been what the problem was. I use colourful eyeshadows all the time. You need to know how to work with them. A bright yellow eyeshadow for example will look muddy if you have existing purple colors on your eye lids. Yellow and purple cancel each other out therefore it’ll look muddy. Knowing a little color theory will help with using vibrant colors and making them true to color for your looks. Hope you give this palette another shot. It’s honestly incredible what better prep steps and looking at a color wheel can do
I ALWAYS prep my eyelids before eyeshadow especially if I’m doing a colorful look. That’s why you can see some creasing in my eyelids before I start my eyeshadow😉 also I try a loooot of eyeshadow palettes and work with all different kinds of colors. That’s why I knew immediately that these shades were hard to blend and were kind of muddy. But I have been doing makeup for years that’s why I was able to still work with this formula of shadows. I know how to work around different eyeshadow formulas, that’s why I was letting people know if you’re a beginner this formula might be a little hard to work with. Thanks for the comment tho!
