Thats not a necromancer, this is summoner... WTF?
@@BlooodRaven they are the same thing in this game. Necromancers are just glorified summoners because how the game was made. Someone decided it would be easier for zombies and etc to just be summons.
I didnt decide it, but yeah its confusing
Oooh thatd be awesome
Choose Pharasma as god... :D
Pharasma: The darkest sin is to create an undead creature
Cleric: Oi boss can I create one nevertheless?
Pharasma: Sure knock yourself out make 20.
Haha
Here is a true choice of deity for a neutral necromancer (with groetus why not). Thx for having a right logic choice .
Hey I mean people also tell me to take -7 str, -7 cha and -7 wis.
I feel like that is trash rp
@@ArcaneAgent I liek that your builds are based on great gameplay overall and not just min/max shit
Thanks! Me too
Stumbled upon this while looking for Wrath of the Righteous builds and it convinced me to finally do a full playthrough of Kingmaker for the first time. It was inevitable the moment you mentioned Diablo 2's Necromancer and I thank you for actually pulling off something that scratches the same itch.
This was one of my most popular and successful videos, yet also one of my most hated lol
Hey Liquid, I'm not looking to flame you or try to put you down, just making an alternate suggestion: If you want to do a Longbow/Composite bow cleric with the animal domain, you can also do a cleric of Erastil. Erastil's favored weapon is the Longbow and also gets the Animal domain, so that could give you more freedom on which race to pick. You make good content, keep it up.
See dangit I knew I,missed out on something. That's what I was looking for
This... you kinda sacrifise 4 entire skillspoints for elf, that you dont need.
Yep
Hey... nice catch.
His logic was sound on why he was doing what he was doing, but this frees him up even more.
Erastil gives him both Long Bow and Animal Domain, instead of taking Race for Bow and God for Domain.
He could have been that Aasimir if he had wanted, with this!
Don't either you or your god have to be evil to take Channel Negative Energy? I couldn't take it with Erastil.
I'm only level 8 right now, but I'm finding that between two characters with animate dead, and one character with stinking cloud, nothing really makes it through the wall of skeletons to get to my buffed up brick wall Valerie.
See there ya go! Its friggin fun!
It's obviously not a necromancer, but if you want strong summons your best bet would probably be Monster Tactician, you get to keep them for minutes/level and they get all your teamwork feats. You're not even exepending spell slots, since it's an ability (which might be a bit limited with 7 or 8 per day, but still).
Having a mass of low level summons will only make Giants with cleave very happy, though you have to pick up augment and superior summon by your self...and therefore spell focus conjuration.
Yeppers. Monster tactician build coming
Isnt monster tactician minute/lvl works only for their pseudospell, which can summon only one monster at time, and not on summons from spellbook? Because i tried it and my summons vanished after few rounds, exept ability summon.
@@treyfolkmen7942 The ability scales with level. First level gives you summon monster I, 3rd SMII which allows to summon either a single wolf or 1d3 dogs.
@@smcasas9367 Really? As I remember, there was no option to summon 3 dogs, only 1 wolf. Basically I could only have 1 summon with minute/lvl perk, which was worse than having animal companion. Even if you could summon either 3 dogs or wolf I think monster tactician not really useful, considering its ability not working on normal summons.
@@treyfolkmen7942 I guess you remember wrong (or maybe it's from the open beta), just loaded a save with a level 7 monster tactician, and he can either summon a direwolf, d3 monitor lizards or d4+1 wolves. It says rounds per level at for the wolves option, but they didn't disappear after 1 minute, so it's probably a localization error.
What do you mean not working on normal summons? Using a scroll to cast summon monster doesn't confer the teamwork feats? How did you test that? But yeah, that's probably true enough.
@18:30 Keep in mind that casting Animate Dead (Divine level 3) as a level 9 spell (empowered, heightened) is not nearly as powerful as a standard level 9 summoning spell. It is actually the same power as an empowered Animate Dead, which gives (1d4+3)(1.5) skeletons under your build. Even then, at the cost of a level 5 spell it's not real great. But lots of skeletons. You could summon an angel/demon that can tank a dragon, but I guess a handful of skeletons is neat.
And fun
I like your vids man. You go into simplified detail as to what you're going for and why. Props man. Plus you keep it short and to the point. Well done.
As short as I can for what we are aiming for in the build, and to show what it can do
So, a few questions:
1) Do summon spells actually benefit from Heighten Spell in any way? From what I remember, it only improves a spell's saving throw DC...
2) Is there a reason to memorize 'summon monster' spells when you can spontaneously convert other spells into the level-appropriate summon spell? Maybe for metamagic, I guess?
3) It sounds as if this whole concept would do better as Monster Tactician Inquisitor: Sure, It costs you 3 Feats (because you'd need to take spell focus, augment summons, and superior summoning or whatever it's called) but in return you get free casting of your summon spells without using your spell slots, your summons last 10 times as long, your summons all get to use your teamwork feats, and to top it all you get a few extra skill points and proficiency with bows so you can choose whichever race and god you like... Hmm... I suppose you'd also be sacrificing the Cleric's better spell progression and more versatile spell list, so there's that too...
I'm always worried about utility, versatility, and more spells rather than not.
Heighten spell for this build simply allows me to use various summons in different levels
I've got to be honest Liquid. I thought your Necro was going to suck from the intro but after watching how it plays out I must say *slow clap* Bravo Bravo! You have created a great Necro and given me a few great ideas for another side build for me. Thank you. 😊👍
It isnt the best build for sure, its more of looking at how you can do things.
I'll be making some more builds next week, diving into a lot of different casters
Why go for the Animal domain when you can summon hordes of creatures?
If you took Death, you would also get healed by the negative channeling, and get a host of Necromancy spells as domain spells. You could even ditch the bow feats and go with SF/GSF in Necromancy and go off offensively with necromantic spells.
This was one of my first build videos. I didnt utilize a lot about the game at this point. But now I stream pathfinder every Monday and Friday. So check me out on twitch www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
You could also invest a few levels in inquisitor (tactical leader or something .. forgot which one was it ) which allows your summons to have all the teamwork feats that you have ...( also gives you trickery , perception, use magic device as class skills)
Monster Tactician has that and taking the subclass limits you to a singular summon. Which is counterproductive when your trying to be a mass summon Necromancer.
hey there I just wanted to point out that Deadly Aim works just like Power Attack that for every 4 base attack after the first one adds another +2 points of damage for missiles so if you were a Cleric of 20th level you take a penalty of -4 to hit and gain +8 to damage for all your arrow shots . when combined with Divine Power its very good :)
And there is a helmet that negates 2 of the penalty
2 points about this build.
1 - summons dont scale, as in when you summon dog at lvl 1 and at lvl 20, as tier 1 spell or tier 9 (using heighten spell), stats of the dog will be the same. In other words spamming undead champions looks cool, but at higher level areas they will be oneshot by every trash mob, and when enemy archers start shooting 4-5 arrows per round, with each one of those arrows killing one of your summons... That horde wont last long. Thats why you always want to be using 2nd highest tier of summons (the 1d3, not 1d4+1) - it gets benefit from superior summoning while still providing summon that will be able to hit enemies and not die from them sneezing on it.
2 - second detriment of going balls to the wall with summons is... physical space. theres only that much room around the enemy and as soon as enemy is surrounded, all other summons just wander around and do nothing. There are some ranged summons, but they use lightning bolt as a ranged attack, and that spell has friendly fire, so summoning 20 of those and then getting instagibbed by 20 lightning bolts hitting you is hilarious but very quick way to die. Now you can prepare with protection and resistance to electricity, which should save you... But you cant cast those buffs on other summons, so they will be killing each other and/or melee summons very consistently.
I tried something similar, and its definitely fun build... just not very practical.
I get what youre saying, and thats exactly why I showed the part where you summon 1 summon, wait for them to do damage and get killed, and then summon another summon before the enemy gets to you.
At level 1 you would summon a level 1. But at spell level 2 you would focus on level 2 spells.
I was only showing what could be done, not what should be
just want to ask does the mighty herald and augmented summon stack?
@@jzhang4293 Mighty herald IS augment summon, as in ability "Mighty herald" gives you augment summon for free. Which is why herald caller is considered pretty bad class since you can pick any other class, get augment and superior summoning and effectively be herald caller but also have whatever other class gives you. If you want to go quality summons, consider Monster Tactician - one of strongest classes atm (and also has cleric buffs plus you can get animal domain from worshiping Gozreh or Erastil, thus getting animal companion as well), and if you want quantity, consider sorcerer with abyssal heritage: one of the perks of that heritage is getting one additional summon when you summon multiple monsters and it DOES STACK with superior summoning for +2 to number of summons when summoning more than one.
Nay I very seriously doubt it
@@felixsimon2 damn it, so herald caller is just not worth now, ha? I just spent 7hrs on it. Also, does empower spell only increase numbers of summon, or does it actually make ur summons stronger? I really like the skeleton champs, but they just become useless late game
Harold the herald sounds good.
Interesting build too, very Diablo 2.
Taking chest is Chaotic, not taking chest is Lawful, I just go with alignment (and which companion I want)
Yus it does
Combat reflexes dos'nt work with bows because bows cant do attacks of oppertunity.
Well fart. Now this video will chronicle my newbness forever
@@ArcaneAgent Well i dont blame you this game has rly complicated rules
True. Wish it was spelled out
Also don't think that Augment Summoning and Superior Summoning work with Necromancers - I posted a question about it on the Steam forums and several people told me those feats only work with Monster Summoning spells.
I'll test it, but that limits a lot of summon spells, summon natures ally etc
You had me at Diablo 2 necromancer 😊
Its able to cast a crazy amount of summons for sure. You should check me out on www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
The reason why the channel energy spells don't do more damage. Is because they're the only AoE in the game that can damage enemies while not damaging allies (with an extra feat taken). If they did more damage while also being a large AoE with no friendly fire...well, that would just be broken.
Yeah I tried making a selective channel damage build, but they arent the best
Im glad i found your channel your builds will help me when pathfinder comes out for consoles aug 18 im soo excited
Heck yes. I'll have to make a playlist without mods
why would heighten spell affect your summons in any way?
"Heighten Spell (Metamagic)
You can cast spells as if they were a higher level.
Benefit: A heightened spell has a higher spell level than normal (up to a maximum of 9th level). Unlike other metamagic feats, Heighten Spell actually increases the effective level of the spell that it modifies. All effects dependent on spell level (such as saving throw DCs and ability to penetrate a lesser globe of invulnerability) are calculated according to the heightened level.
Level Increase: The heightened spell is as difficult to prepare and cast as a spell of its effective level."
It makes me be able to cast more spells in more slots, and if the summons can cast spells, then their spells are higher dc
Love how you do these videos. Super clear and concise.
Thanks man I do appreciate the feedback
To answer the question; No, I generally don't take it since I tend to play Good of some sort, and it's only 200g anyway. I'm trying to RP heavily, this game is pretty good for that so I try to stick with it :)
I wish you could make a guide about empower, maximize and extend spells. Specially what you'd consider to be the best to use it.
Maybe I will
I'm new to this game, but played AD&D yrs ago. That is so freakin cool how you did that. Loving the game even. Cheers, great job! ty
Thanks man. Ive come a long way since this video hehe. You should check me out on www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
Unfun fact, the summoning feats like augment summoning and superior summoning don't apply to the undead summons.
no, but then again it's not a big deal. Your undead at high levels are just obstacles for the opponent to knock down. It's the Outsiders that you're going to rely on to do damage and tank hits.
Exactumundo
Obligatory correction - For clerics you get access to a given spell level using the following formula: Cleric Level = (Spell level x 2)-1
So 1st level spells come at 1st level, 2nd at 3rd, 3rd at 5th, ect. and that means 6th would be at 11th
*Insert derogatory comment along the lines of "Jeez do you even play, brah?!"*
Haha I get those derogatory comments alot
I'm actually just getting into this game so I'm gonna comment on a two year old video.
I like the idea, just want to point out for anyone else coming along and watching this. This exact build but following Erastil (whose favored weapon is longbow) and prepping not undead spells in exactly the same way would also work if you want to just be a general summoner or want to play it as a non elf.
Well. Well, you're. You're right
@@ArcaneAgent One of the things I'm discovering about this game that I like (because I'm a huge nerd obviously) is that everything matters, even the choice of deity. I have to investigate if a druid version where you wildshape after summoning and join the pack if they haven't already taken the enemy out would work...
Ive made way too many builds in this game hehe
A bow and leopard cleric isn't a Necro, it's a Druid-clone with a focus on nature. A Necro is either a range summoner, nuker, CC or a melee scythe lord with insane touch spells.
I know. This was seriously one of my worst builds. I learned a lot from it. But I still play kingmaker, you should check me out on twitch www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
German here. 4 years later : NEIN is no in german. Not yes. Amazing video. And here i am 4 years later enjoying this.
Well I'll have to make sure I keep making more videos!
@Liquid Plays 10:19 - deadly aim feat gives you +2 damage for -1 to hit at +1bab, then an additional +2 damage for -1 to hit at +4bab and every 4 bab there after. so a cleric would cap at -4 to hit and +8 damage a shot... brah
I should have grabbed that then possibly
Flamewars? Dude, you are amazing. I was hoping you could do a pure healer, an Ecclesitheurge with Healing domain and Sun domain for that extra Roleplaying as a undead bane.
Death to all undead. I am working on an ecclesitheurge right now, but under different circumstances
You mean Tristian's GOOD twin?
I dont know why I like your videos but I like them. Concept is very interesting. Rest of that build - race, attributes distribution etc - I dont agree at all but I still like your video for inspiration it give me to think about similar "necromantic" oriented build. So to sum up: good work and keep them coming (that build videos).
I shall endeavor to make many much more builds
If you chose Erastil as deity you can avoid using an Elf, and use an Aasimar instead. Erastil gives you proficiency in Longbow since it is the deity prefered weapon. Cons are, it is a Lawful Good deity, so only positive channel, and on the roleplaying aspect it kills the necro vibe, but you have the Animal and Plant domain as an option.
Yepperd
After reading the comments, could you please adjust your build with those corrections? I'd like to try it... It looks amazing... ty for the video
Which corrections hehe
@@ArcaneAgent Thank you soo much ^^
i expectet something like .. a few skelets n stuff
but the intro just kicked me right into ma mind bawls
That must have hurt a little
@@ArcaneAgent it still burns.
I am new to that game and have nearly zero lore knowledge. The showcast intro of that video while u send hordes of summons intio the field was prty epic and Mindblowing xD
Say... is this build possible with a super nice guy who wants help ppl without beeing a dick?
Well I mean sure you can be nice
This is the most viewed Pathfinder: kingmaker build on youtube. This is what you wicked gamers like, eh? Well, we all know, it's cool to raise an undead army.
Its also the most flamed one. People haaaated this build
@@ArcaneAgent Look at this playthrough on unfair difficulty:
ruclips.net/video/agHfgXOazII/видео.html&ab_channel=MONOBLACKGAMING
Like the fight at 1:13:00. He summons an army of undead. He also summons hordes of mites in the same dungeon. Yes, he also has 6 animal companions... But when I saw his playthrough, I was reminded of how your viewers argued that low level summons are bad in late game.
I will claim that your necromancer can be used even on unfair.
Well, maybe your bow won't really hit that often unless you have good buffers and debuffers in the party. But if you do, this build will probably be very effective.
I read that there are custom companions, I wonder how a full group with this same build would be 😱
I've just started playing and I love your builds man. 👌
Combat Reflexes does not make any sense when using a bow, since you don't get AoOs as a ranged character. and IIRC kingmaker has the zen archer monk archetype. so unless you really need the 3 caster levels from cleric you should dip into zen archer so that you can shoot ranged attacks with wisdom rather than dexterity
There is no Zen archer sadly. Also yeah I forgot Bout combat reflexes not working with bows, attacks of opportunity would be disgusting with ranged
Sorcerer with Undead Bloodline Arcana is the better necromancer as undead are treated as humanoids for the purposes of mind affecting spells. You can still take all the undead +other summons, but on top of that, your dominate person and dominate monster will also dominate undead, which will then fight for you. Couple that with the bloodline bonus feats of spell focus and greater spell focus, and you can go greater focus in both necromancy and enchantment which allows you to mind control everything. One level of scaled fist monk for the +7 or even +11 AC and you're set.
Yeah the 1 level of monk dip is in side of every stinking build.
But I do agree with undead bloodline
Interesting build! The only downside i see is that in the early game it can have a very difficult time, being very squishy
Most builds will be difficult early game for sure
The rest of the party can "carry" you in the meantime though
Carry for days
Wouldnt this work better as a sorc?
you get a lot of casts and can even pick undead bloodline to also get all the necromancy damaging spells (or go arcane bloodline and get extra DCs for necromancy so your army slays them while you throw whilting or other death damaging spells or go that sylvan sorcerer archetype and also get the animal companion ) might even add a couple of monk levels to add CHA to AC and still keep level 9 spells If Im not mistaken...
the only problem with this build is the bothersome duration . . . . undead summons should be at least min/level . . . .but sadly only monster tactician gets that and it`s for their summon monster spell like abilities. . . . waiting for a mod that will help me with this
Any and every builds that I create comes for my weird scrambled and unique brain. I don't always do what is the maximum best for a type of build and that is the beauty of Dungeons & Dragons
Interesting alternative to the Pokemon Master... Inquisitor Monster Tactician. The strength of the Pokemon Master is that his summoned creatures benefit from whatever teamwork feats the character chooses, and he can use those channel divine power to summon creatures.
Today on "videos Liquid has in his build list"
I know that the common knowledge says if you want to play a summoner you should play the monster tactician but i find the limit of only one summon out to be far too limiting for a summoner. Might as well just play a class with access to an animal companion. Im playing currently a druid conjuration wizard going to mystic theurge and am hoping to see how that works as a summoner.
Holy crap that sounds awesome, I wonder if you can have level 1 druid and level 1 wizard summons out at the same time
Best way to test this would be to try it in the BTSL DLC and it breaks down when things start being near your level and dealing AOE damage. Your better off just ignoring the undead summons altogether and use the beefier 1d3 or singular options.
You could run an Aasimar worshipping Erastil and get the Longbow proficiency.
As far as i know Augmented and Superior Summoning only works with summon monster. It doesn't affect undead. I'm not sure if it affects elementals either.
Sure, you have a bunch of summons. At level 20. But these summons are still level, what, 6? You'd run out of spells before the enemy took any damage from your summons.
But its fun
Until you get your butt kicked, and you realise that your character has no hope of doing anything level-appropriate. :p
@@ArcaneAgent Wild Hunt will destroy this "army" in 5 rounds...
I would say 1 round
I think, this build is underestimated. I also think, too many players only look at damage dealing, while low level summons serve other purposes
Has Necromancer Build video for "unfair"
and another one from Druid for the same difficulty?
For the updated version or one that works, but the root necro, the summoning and cursing, and a root druid, healing, elements and summons?
I don't make builds for unfair

Every build I make is for normal
@@ArcaneAgent
For Necromancer: Which construction creates the most powerful undead and in greater quantity (Cleric "Ecclesitheurge" or "Herald Caller")?
Herald caller is nice. I like the ecclesitheurge because it gets more spells
Hah, just what I wanted to see actually, I was pondering a Necromancer build myself!
Too many summons hehe
@@ArcaneAgent Never too many ;) Really solid build, now I need to replicate it as a druid hehe.
HI, just to answer your poll, it doesn't matter if you take/steal the money from the armory because at the end, if you took it, you're gonna have to give it back. So its just a RP dialogue thing, which by itself have not effects (because it takes like a dozen choices if not more to change your alignement). And also, not to flame or discredit or anything (i think you generally make good videos), but in my experience, at level 20, no matter how many dozens of undead you conjure, the monsters you will be up against will eat them all for breakfast and your undead will maybe hit them once or twice for a couple of hit points only. So it is pointless (althou its fun to see them in action). Finally I am a bit disapointed because I was expecting a REAL necromancer. This is just a summoner on which you load a ton of the same raise undead spell instead of regular summons spells), not really a necromancer.
I shall necromancer again
I take it because if I succeed on my RP Role in explaining I get XP.
Ah a completionist
Great Build. Want to see more like this.
Check out my kineticist thug build
Imagine an entire custom party with this build... Forget breaking the game; you'd break your whole computer. 😂
You'd also hate turn based mode hehe
@@ArcaneAgent oh god! 😅 something tells me you wouldn't need it though. Lol.
So tru
Here is what I like. You are obviously not an 'Expert'. You're mistakes show that. But you're having fun, challenging yourself, being creative, and going out and doing it.
So that's awesome! Keep it up!
Very nice necro build. I did build something like it with a sorcerer thought majorly stayed with living creatures before i went and try a full damage sorc, before making a really awesome Max level Dreadful Magus (Eldritch Scion)
I need to make a max level rogue
@@ArcaneAgent I have done that with a Knife master build
Oh no this build I'm working on is breaking the game...
@@ArcaneAgent nice. i think i broke the game with my dreadful eldritch scion build. thought if i use that said build on a character and just run through the game now i would breeze through most of the early stuff since everyone will be at max level.
Yes
I almost always prefer to make lawful evil and neutral evil characters. The dialogue options are more interesting, good characters get these sappy sounding options and it makes them less fun to roleplay as.
True. Sadly most of the time evil is just played as, " I bad, you good, I kill you"
I take the Chest, because there is sound reasoning (So that the Assassins don't steal the Gold).
I think, but could be wrong, that this is a reason that one of either Hirram or Amiri follows me.
Yeppers
Pretty sure the chest doesn't matter since the gold is removed from you even if you win the argument against Tartuccio from what I remember
Yeah its hardcoded I think
This is an awesome build.
It's a fun build, thats for sure
Sorry but this only looks like a good build if are level 20 in the starting area. Summons are only useful at the level you gain access to them. They never get stronger. By the time you reach the higher spell slots, those summons are likely being oneshot by the dozens. Metamagic is useless for them.
Metamagic is really only useful for spells that scale up based on player level (the only spells really effective at higher levels). Even then you should only use metamagic to fill up spell slots you don’t have other good options for.
A better summoner is the monster tactician. You get teamwork feats for your summons, they last a minute, and they don’t require spell slots. You may not get as many summons, but only so many creatures can surround an enemy anyways. If you take a deity with an animal domain, you can also get an animal companion. Fill your spell slots with stun/paralyzing spells. These will give your summons time to freely beat down any enemy without resistance.
Unless you're just using the summons to absorb hits while you do damage. I had to do that for the troll king fight. 8 undead and 5-6 dogs bought my party 3 rounds of free hits. Compared to losing a character and a half every turn without them. 😅
@@SethanderWald The troll king is fairly early game.
@@AshnakAGQ I love the fact that 40 hours in is still considered to be "early game". 😅 gotta love crpgs. Lol
@@SethanderWald Yeah. As you progress enemies will get more and more attacks and AOEs, effectively making these weak summons useless. Power scaling is crazy in this game.

I would like to make this build but after reading the comments it would seem this could use a revision. Any chance you could do that? Definitely subbed!!
I do need to re visit some of these older builds
@@ArcaneAgent I for one would really appreciate it as I would like to build something exactly like this.
A cleric or druid summoner is amazing, a sorcerer wouldnt be the best because of the small spell picks
Thumbs up for bailing on MSExcel and going back to pencil and paper!
Yeah pencil and paper have made it much easier
Yes playing a lv1 area with a lv20 skill, feat and timer set is a good way to show off how hard it is on actual hard difficulty with point blank and precise shot already in there.
Just no.
Also I don't like how alignment restricts certain classes so I'm with 5e on this plus here you can't houserule it
The reason most of my bills are off in that level one starting area is because it takes a Frick long time to get other characters up to level 15 ish to display what I could do with them. But I am almost at level nine now with one character
@@ArcaneAgent noted. Still, having both point blank and precise and all the summon boosts at the tutorial level without being a human and even then you're off by 1 feat, also your bab is out of wack for it is unrepresentative of the actual state of the game one must go through to do even stuff remotely related. Not to mention extra spell slots due to level and stat bonuses.
I understand the build show off scenario, I just have a gripe with it being unrealistic ;)
I agree. Trust me there are so many comments not only on this video about being lvl 20 in a lvl 1 area
I don't get why the extra attack would outweight trip for some people, Trip is extremely good for pacifying one the enemies part of the fight.
Trying a bull rush tripping guy now
I like a charm focused Harold caller cleric, naturally gets summons and can charm enemies to kill eachother really fun and funny ro see then turn against eachothet while my minions bully them.
Really think this should be called Master Summoner build, rather than Necromancer. You don't even have Urgathoa (our bae) as your deity. But as a Summoner build this is quite good, though I honestly think the Monster Summoner is by far the most superior, with Summons lasting much longer and having all your teamwork feats (which you get as bonus feats). Although you would need to pick up Augment Summoning and Superior Summoning with your normal feats.
I have another summoning build in coming
@@ArcaneAgent Hope you'll also build a 'true' necromancer at some point. I'm quite interested in seeing what they can do (and no, not the summoner version), either as a Cleric of Urgathoa (Jaethal's buddy!), Necro Wizard or possibly the Sorcerer Undead bloodline. I have seen that there are many cool debuffs and instant-kill spells in Necromancy.
Well this summoner build can still cast necromancy spells, but I will create a necromancy spell casting build
i wish you could test this character versus a wild hunt monarch
It would get its butt kicked
Very interesting video again. All that creatures... really awesome!
Actually I already thought about requesting to you to try a build with lots of summons plus companion (using animal domain). :)
I did not have necromancer in mind or even using the cleric subclass used here - actually I really forgot about that one.
What is the downside again compared to a vanilla cleric?
The other build idea I had in mind was a monster tactitian with animal domain. The idea is intriguing having monsters with added tactitian feats.
The downside is you only have simple weapons and light armor and 1 domain
@@ArcaneAgent Seems to be totally fine for your build. You have ranged attacks and you get the improved summon feats for free.
Though as already stated in a comment by someone else, Erastil, I think that was the correct god, at least also gives you bow proficiency.
For my build I think about going into melee combat and buffing. That is why probably I will rather take a cleric with animal and let's say commune domain or a war god domain.
Or I go into monster tactitian instead.
Ah yes, proposal already requested : thug vivisectionist build including the dazzling display feats from your dreadful ranger build.
Im making a similar build now with Erastil
Can you do a similar set up with a mage? What would the differences be?
Working on a Ecclesitheurge mage build right now
Sorcerer would be better, more Spells per Day. You'd be limited on how many you can learn, but you have very specific Spells you are looking for in this Build.
Wizard is really only better when you want more Spell Versatility.
Nice video. Any chance you will do a necromancer out of sorc? Or just a pure undead/abyssal or devil sorc build?
I didn't see this comment, but yes, I can work on a undead or abyssal or devil sorc build.
Liquid Plays thanks, will be waiting! Preferable undead, but any will do:)
Late to the party it seems (like always) but I had a question - why no selective channel? Wouldn't that stop your channel negative from hitting allies, or would that stop it from healing your skeletons too?
Also, really stuck on what class to play (pet lover here) and I keep reading old information that is sometimes conflicting. Ideally I would like a class with both an animal pet and summons. So which class would be best for that? (on challenging difficulty if that matters)
Thanks bunches in advance
At the time of me making this video there was no selective spell abilities
If it were me, I would go with some form of cleric. Maybe with Animal Domain. I would pick Leopard because it has pounce and a bite trip.
They also get a jack ton of summons per level.
Sorcerer's are good, but picking summon spells as a sorcerer will waste a spell slot in my opinion
Nice video and really well explained thank you.
No problem bro
What would you say the best summoner class is? Herald Caller, Sylvan Sorc or maybe something else?
Some would say the Monster Tactician, some would say Herald Caller, some would say Sylvan sorc.
I prefer my Wizards, and Wizards that specialize in Conjuration get an automatic type of extend spell feat solely for their summons, so if I (Me, not everyone) had to choose, I would go with Wizard
Might have messed up. I'm on ps4, I don't got Herald Called, and I got Armor Specialty: Light instead of boon companion...
always take the chest no matter my alignment
Thats what she said
u still gonna return it to Jumandi tho
Hehe
I know i'm late to the party, but new to Kingmaker... does herald caller bonuses work with animate dead? it's a necromancy spell, not a conjuration spell so i don't think it counts as a "summoning" spell
wondered that myself, i dont think it does since its necromancy and not summoning.. i think hes getting the bonus numbers from the heighten feat, but not sure.
Yes bonus summons from heighten. I like doing stupid things
Is there a corpse-bomb spell? U know send an undead mob bomb & explode...
I wish!
@@ArcaneAgent noooooooo....
Thing is I'm not sure if the Harald Callers abilities affect the Animate Dead spell, unless I'm mistaken here?
Bring this to the consoles.
I believe they are working on it
Good video but what spells did you put in all the ranks in the spellbook
Holy cow I can't remember at this point lol. But I started putting those into my later videos
Hello I just found your channel with the builds From Pathfinder I would like to know which one is the best for me I have never played a game like Pathfinder before Thanks
Do this but with Mercenaries built exactly the same. So You can have 6 times as many.
Lets do it. Lets break the engine
Great idea. Only one flaw.
Main character is 25 point buy
Mercenary are 20 point buy
use the Respec mod and make them all 25-point Buy
Playing on Xbox 1. No mods
Good hows the console edition? Check me out on www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
Wow this game looks awesome, can you have any undead permanent summons?
Sadly no. However Owlcat games is working on a new Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous game.
And I still stream kingmaker on my twitch. www.twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
You can take the money, but you WILL give it back when you talk to queen
Ah
More attacks of opportunity? With a bow? How does that work and why do you mention it?
Do you use any build planner? How can you upgrade your char to 20 from the start?
I don't use a build planner. I mean I created like a 1-20 google sheet that I put my info in and go from there. I was able to be level 20 at the beginning through mods and what not
Im going to start streaming again BTW, so if you want to you can check me out on twitch.tv/thearcaneagent
how do i make the animate dead go to level 4? spell tab?
Heighten spell
@@ArcaneAgent I think I did something wrong. The heighten is 0, so when I try heighten it. It didn't do anything. I'm new to the game and just trying out builds to set as my end goal.
I was considering doing this with an assimar Blight druid, I really don't want an animal as I find it unimmersive idc how strong it is. It is all about the rp.
Animal companions are pretty strong, and a good 9th level summon spell is top notch
This felt like summoner more than a necromancer though
Summoner necromancer?
@@ArcaneAgent Necromoner
When I play trough the game a second time I will try this it seems like this could actually work. In most of these games necromancy rarely works well or youre summoning is limited to non existant. How does this build fare mid-late game?
Your higher level summons will be better
Liquid can I just ask how you pre-set a build like that. I tried to do the same on the character creation screen and couldn't figure out how to move on to level 2 etc. Thanks
I made a video about it, you can find it,in my video list
@@ArcaneAgent Thank you
You be welcome
I don't know what I did wrong. How did you get those 4 dogs in the tutorial area? I tried following the build step by step but I don't have any summons early game.
My character was level 17
I was going crazy thinking I could have an army from the get go. But I do have at least one monster summon
Great game and awesome video..smart and to the point..well done sir ..pretty goood.
Thanks hehe
is there a warpriest in game yet? And are the major bugs fixed in the game yet? i think this game looks amazing. But i am waiting for it to be in a good state, before i buy it. (4/14/19 current date)
Love the build, thank you!
I havent came across the bugs everyone keeps mentioning. There is no war priest but there is a crusader
Hi , I may be asking a new or dumb question, but I was wondering if you were using some sort of cheat to get exnough xp to raise your character at level 20 (obviously I think yes since your at lvl 20 in the begining of th game...). That would be awesome to try and test a build before wasting countless of hours only tp find out that your buid will be blocked by a bug later on... So in short, how do you get that xp/tranier program whatever... thx.
I made a video about this
@@ArcaneAgent Oups ok thx. I'll look it up. didn't see it.
No problem . I'll start making links to that video
Do the same mass summon vs Armagh inside the tomb after he kills the sister. See how that works :)
Hehe id also have companions with me
@@ArcaneAgent I tried it on challenging, Armagh hit me for 150 dmg and one shoted my char. Summons as well. Rank 8 etc.
Send more summons
Can i still use bows if i make a half elf instead of an elf? Im new to this game and i would like to know if i can play a half_elf with a bow/ this build.
Take the feat martial weapon proficiency. But I believe clerics of erastil get longbow proficiency already
