Great job buddy ... Need more people like you, prepared to help out others in need. I guess if your mates car had ended up in a garage they would have charged him ££££ to do what you did in three minutes. Double "Thumbs up" for this one!!
My heart goes out to all those who are victims of this terrible flood. That water looks positively toxic, the colour of it! You are a good neighbour, but it looks like others weren't as lucky as your mate there. My sisters car got flooded a couple of years ago and it all went mouldy, total right off. I hope there is some compensation coming to those in need. All the very best. 🤞✨
That was a good result and very lucky, I guess as the water came from the mine then the foul drainage system, whilst being overwhelmed, could still have working so that there was not a release of raw sewerage as seems to be mostly the case during flooding, a good clean and a proper drying session should see the car back in use without the need to claim on insurance. Dread to think what the inside of your mate's house was like, soul destroying I am sure. How on earth did the mine get to have so much water in it above ground level? I am sure there will be many questions that need answering and lessons learned for all other old mines. Take care & thanks for sharing.
Hi Gary, the area I live in has a large mountain/hill behind us which has extensive mines. They filled up and the pressure eventually erupted the mine, it blew its way through someone's drive and then washed down the hill. There was some sewage but mainly mine water filled with Iron oxide. He needs to give it a good wash/vac and then spray all the electric contacts along with a good service. Coal board will be in the area for at least 6 months doing repairs and further prevention work.
Nah, it still went off to scrap, flood water is filthy so it was beyond. Wasn't my car, it was a neighbours, I was very lucky that my home wasn't affected.
My car is under water right now in Marietta fucking Georgia. Im currently hugging a wine bottle and hoping for the best. It’s 2am. 50/50 chance but the water ain’t going down. fml. Cheers🥂
Arrgh that's horrible! I hope it all turns out OK and the car (and everything else) doesnt get damaged. Stay safe. Plus I hope you have plenty of wine to see you through. 🍸
I was lucky, I live further up the street so was not flooded, not so for some of my friends and neighbours though. Sorry to hear about your flooding, I hope you are all sorted now 👍
