I like how you explain things very thoroughly. That was an issue for me when I was son welding school my instructor assumed we knew more than we actually did and no one wanted to ask questions and disappoint
Never hesitate to ask... It's better than making a major mistake as a result of an assumption.
Whats an instructor for then lol
@@austinakins3347 have you tried whip and pause motion ?
Oh holy fuck, currently experiencing this
@@wetald7569same bruh 😭😭😭🙏
Excellent lesson. I went to welding school more than 40 years ago (before You Tube). Your teaching is better, much better. Thanks for posting.
Hands down this is some of the best detailed teaching instructions
I have been hearing about whip and pause for 6 yrs. It never made since it me until you explained it. No one ever said to short arc it at the pause to facilitate the puddle to cool. You are a beast!!
Thank you very much for this informative video! I'm currently finishing horizontal smaw and was very inconsistent and not confident with the 6010. After watching this video I went from worrying about failing cause I couldn't get consistent penetration on an open root pass to successfully doing 2 good root passes on my practice and actual test plates which is most of the grade. I was able to successfully complete them on the last day of class and my grade jumped from failing to an A. You have a gift for teaching. Thanks again!
This video was really helpful. Thank you! Please don't stop making them. These videos have helped me more than the instructor.
💀💀
Thank you for the video! It was very descriptive and I appreciate you explaining how to manage the heat by choking the rod.
Awesome explanation of how to whip and pause! I never knew that you were supposed to push in a little at the front of the keyhole. The reinforcement on the back side looked cleeeeean. Gonna have to try that!
Describing the feel and pressure in the rod is what makes your videos better than most!
Best explanation on whip and pause, thank you!!!!
that's the technique I was taught by amar, and it work perfectly using 6010 ( red rods) before I learned the Wip and pawz I used to burn through or drip molten metal now I'm good thanks a lot, I should be working the east coast railroads rocking some outlaw leather gear , you explain it so good it'll definitely improve my style thanks bro. thumbs up 43 and O
Thanks. This really helped me out. I started at 60 amps with 1/8 rod. Moved up a few aps at a time until I was at 75. I am much more consistent with my root. Completing passes much faster without stopping for too much heat... Thanks again....
"snuffing out" the rod is such a good analogy I really needed that sir. I think that's been my problem I think I've been long arcing slightly when I whip up. Hopefully keeping this in mind will help me. Don't have much help in learning so weldtube has been a great resource to fix my little problems
I'm loving the very clear explanation.
Your explanation on your technique for the process you prefer, the best advice I've seen! No doubts about it bro, you can punch through the thickest of numbskulls with your delivery of the information!
It's a good technique to learn, but that delivery made this video one of the best out there! You just set the bar...
"Up down up down, so basically, I'm chocking the rod"
Awesome techniques and illustration wonderful demonstration and it shows exactly what you are doing
Awesome
Thank you very much
Mike

As an X-ray tech that looks at film every day, I always wondered how welders burned off the tacks. Makes a lot of sense now. Good job
I like how you explained that. And I really like that method. It makes sense!

You have never seen this before? At my school it's basically all they teach. Crazy how different techniques are taught in different regions
@@dwightglidden934 i feel you this is the first video I’ve found where they do the whipping technique that we use at school which I thought was the norm
Very clear explanation. Thank you Sir!
Great tips and videos.
Outstanding good arc shots as well 💯👍💪🇺🇸
You can drag that 5p+ uphill too...its a sweet reinforcement for sure
Beautiful, thanks for the tips.
Wow, good job. Good job.👍👍

Good video,really informative!
Thanks for the tips mate!!
Now i got an idea how to do it, thanks for the video
Muchas gracias amigoo. Muy bien explicado. Abrazoo!
Buena explicación y buen trabajo 👍
This is amazing thank you so much
very good explained
Thanks man for this video I learn good welder technique
Learnt a lot in this video, currently doing 1g open roots and I think ima turn my amperage down and pause at the edge of the keyhole instead of the puddle. This whole time I thought whip and pause you paused at the puddle. Long story short my keyholes go absolutely out of control after a while, and I then have a giant ‘chode’ (what my welding teacher calls it😂)where I spent half a rod filling in a blow through. I can’t wait to try this
Granda tecnica, gostei muito. Obrigado
Thank you very much this is so helpful
Nice video! Thanks for your! 👍

Thank you buddy, your a good welder
This is good, I noticed when I start with a key hole existing right off the tack it feels like I really need to work quick, this helps a bit.
Well explained bro thanks
Perfect understanding
