This game was riddled with issues for a long time and design wise it didn't sit well with a lot of people with its super weird take on WW2. But mechanically this game is absolutely brilliant!
I don't know why the industry has decided that historical shooters aren't viable considering the success of BF1 and the eventual popularity of BFV once it got it together. If they would just go all in on the authenticity and immersion like they did with BF1 they'd have no competition in the market.
BF1 is authentic, not historical. The same levels of artistically liberty that were taken on BF1 are present on BFV. But at least they made BF1 feel like WW1, even though it looks more like a steampunk cluster fuck.
@flowerthencrranger3854 Thats what I said. I only mean historical as in the context. AAA pubilshers seem to have decided that near-future is the only profitable setting after they all put out a series of half-assed entries.
At 7:53 it actually felt like a normal battlefield and realistic were you have your squad working as a team to push up on a enemy position and take them out and it takes coordination as a team and so many games and battlefield 2042 have lost that aspect and it feels so good to have it in games like this
I do hope Battlefield returns to a WWII setting again and learn from their mistakes with BFV. It had the potential to one of the best. Imagine a Battlefield 1942 with BFV's graphics and movement, along with BF1's atmosphere.
If it weren't for it's abysmal marketing and launch, this is one of the best battlefield ever made. Gunplay, maps, vehicles, all of it was just perfect.
@@Tinkering902 Im not one who cried their eyes out when the trailer came out, but i will admit it did disappoint me a bit. The trailer failed to give a WW2 feeling and it lacked the grittiness of BF1. Looking back at it I'd still say it fails to encapsulate what the game is like now (epic planes flying over, hordes of men rushing, tanks tanking etc etc).
i played bf 5 when it came out and it was not very good but after some time this game got addicting. I never understood the hate towards this game. I personally loved it and ill likely play it now.
I play it daily. I never have any trouble finding a server that's full. There are a few blatant cheaters that I know by name but with so many severs to use I just jump to another one. This is my favorite battlefield so I can tolerate the few that try to mess up the games for everyone.
11:00 in my school in the US, it was very similar. They taught us why it started and emphasized the trench and chemical warfare, but that was about it.
To date, Battlefield V has the best moment to moment gunplay there's ever been in a video game. It's a shame it was cut down early in its life by a bad publisher and a bad initial studio.
Yes plus bfv and bf1 both don’t have many servers here in the US. I can still find some games in bfv but in bf1 I only see like two tdm servers every time I get on. They’re definitely better than everything since 4 came out
Only problem I've had with BFV (besides the blatant cheaters every once in a while), is the performance. It runs terribly on my PC, which is really weird to me since BF2042 runs quite well. When I bought 2042 a few months ago, I was frankly expecting to refund it within 30 mins due to poor performance. Instead, I can run it on medium to medium-high settings mostly while maintaining a STEADY 70fps. BFV struggles to run at 50fps on medium settings while also being very stuttery. Its really sad tbh, I loved BFV a lot.
It's odd how much praise this game gets, with my personal experience being that I can't find more than 3 or 4 servers active in North America, and I've personally found the gun play to be awkward at best. I'd love to see why people are so enamored with it, but after 20 hours of gameplay nothing compelled me to keep going. I feel I had a bad introduction to it and couldn't find the redemption factors, but the sale was the only reason I got.. Did i do something wrong? lol
Dude I’m a couple years younger than you but that throwback to Medal of Honor Allied Assault…holy cow that was a great game and to just know we played WW2 games before call of duty took over that’s so funny.
They could easily announce a support pack w 2 new maps if the numbers justify a map pack, and maybe get the one or two cheaters on each server that's the only plague on bf5 still, they pull support on a awesome title so they can make the next half bake..
I got this game when it first dropped for PS5 and fell in love with it. Probably one of the top best 10 games out there in the world. imagine this on PC way smoother. The sniping is top notch in this. If anyone is looking for a squad or something let me know been dying to play this game but stop because it take soo much space just like COD😭
BF1 is still in my opinion the best Battlefield experience. The music, maps, weapons, sound design. It was as authentic as they could get it, with a few creative liberties taken that made the game feel good to play. BFV had a rough start but it was starting to get to the same level as BF1, right when they pulled the plug.
My xbox boys, and I played this few weeks ago we had fun. When we see games like mw3, and bf42 in which is better now then when it began this game is standing the test of time. This game is on Xbox game pass for free bc of deal with EAplay. This is one of the most underrated BFs games and FPS multi in general. This game has action in which bf42 lacks.
I'll tell you why. The answer is simple. It was the last battlefield game to be developed by the original developers. They left Dice and EA. 2042 was created by call of duty developers.
Bfv is my favourite. Movement gunplay, maps everything is in my taste, i tried every battlefield no other entry Catch me like bfv. there are tons of community servers that are filled to the brim and have their own anticheat, i recommend you try it out. 9/10 I can find a server to play on with a map that i want to play
@@karma9007 u cant if ur from europe because of ping and there is no community servers in europe...
@@sully1527 There is in BF5. BF1 have to check again.
@@sully1527 BFV robot servers have 3rd party anticheat. There's 3/4 european ones iirc
Everyone hates the current battlefield until the next one comes out.
BF1 is still the goat for me. Every class feels very specialized having a specific role and it is mirrored on the weapons and gadgets available for the particular class. The atmosphere and immersion are top notch, it makes you feel like you're in an actual war. I'm still playing BF1 to this day (I'm in Asia) and it still packs a lot of community servers.
All classes in bf1 are specialized at FEEDING ENEMY TANK AND AIRPLANE PLAYERS 😂🤣
@@notenjoying666It's true if your team consists of 70% scouts and nobody using AA or AT rocket.
Well , I was out of first person gaming for almost 10 years .. I found this masterpiece in January 2020, since then I play every week ! I thought I'l be the same excited with 2042 but I only played once (no more things to say here) .. then I went back to bfv, as long as we keep this masterpiece alive il never leave as long I can enjoy this kind of activity !
I really wish Dice would have kept support for this game going instead of 2042. Like this game since day one
Agree , I was so pissed they stopped supporting it
Everyone complained that this game would kill the franchise and they should drop it anyways. What did you expect?
@@Holdthetomatoesplz the complainers on social media ruin it. They know more than the developers.
@@bobbyr2972 and now the same complainers (like JackFrags) are acting like this game is a hidden gem that was misunderstood. You can’t have it both ways and it’s the reason this franchise is a shell of its former self.
@bobbyr2972 well said. That's exactly what happened. Social media morons (many who hadn't played it) jumped all over it and the publisher dropped support.
That happens too often.
Honestly, coming back to V after awhile I’m really noticing that there was SO much depth to the game. The specializations and other elements really gave you a lot to do OTHER than just play multiplayer. If they had been able to continue working on it it would have been utterly amazing with all the factions. That being said, you gotta wonder if it was EVER doable. The shear amount of possible content is insane.
I really prefer BFV over BF2042, it still looks great too . nice to see an active player base
You mean BF2042. BF2142 is a different game (it even has mechs and sky bases)
@@Constantin_91 yea sorry that’s what I meant
BF2142 was awesome. When I first heard they were gonna make BF2042 they really got my hopes up. First (and last) time i bought on preorder...
my favourite Jack videos are these BFV videos! love it! 🙌
I will never let BFV die. The last true battlefield game 😊
It was literally the previous game you're saying the last true battlefield game as if we've had a bunch of games since they've literally only made one bad game since
BFV is 5 years old. So yeah, it still stands as the last true battlefield. I just hope their next game is actually what the fan base wants!
@@8lue17 Battlefield games only become proper Battlefield games, when the dev has moved onto the next one. So after the next one comes out 2042 will actually be in a decent place
@@ince55antI dont think 2042 will be as respected as BF1 or BF5 is, BF5 atleast has some enjoyable aspects, 2042 doesn’t have much going for it.
BF1 was the last true Battlefield game. The revisionist history from people is baffling.
BFV was a subpar BF game AT BEST.
ITs good to know Jack frags grew up just like me.. i was in highschool getting really interested in American history in like 10th grade when Band of brothers came out.. they started making band of brothers right after saving private ryan came out.. Tom hanks worked as a producer on it if i recall in fact.. and then his son (coincidentally i'm sure..) did a guest star on one episode .. Became so fascinated by WW2 in high school..i'm sure in UK WW1 is the much bigger lesson given its effect on the country.
More Battlefield 4, 1, and 5 videos Jack!!!! Thank you!
What about 2142?!?!
Fewer bf1 and 5 videos Jack. Bf4 is okay, it’s alright.
Bf3, bc2, even swbf2 would be great
Love your commentary jack. I also like the variety of games you showcase. Keep up the good work. Ill keep watching on my end. 👍
It’s a good day when jack play’s BFV
None on xbox or ps
I recently bought battle field 2042, 1, and 5 and I have to say I haven't had this much fun on my console is such a long time
There's also still loads of people playing BF V on console, you can almost always load into a full lobby on PS4
One feature I loved with older BF games was the destruction of buildings! Epic!
Loved this game back then! I remember back when different things were meta, the fleigerfaust with 3 shots of ammo, the Type 2A with no recoil, even now, it is fun to play with different classes! Nothing beats being a good medic in game though?
i always have so much fun as medic or trying to be a helpful engineer (aka tank medic)
Glad to see you play BFV. One of my favorite battlefield. Only reason I don’t play much cause cheaters/hackers. Had such memories shifting from PS4 13:56 into pc gaming
This game is so satisfying, still my 2nd fav battlefield. Battlefield 1 being my favourite
Yeah, but for me it's the opposite, I like both but prefer BF5, love shooting in BF5 and hate shooting in BF1, feels like I'm pissing bullets there lol
@RilezGamer AGREED. BF5 has super solid gun play. I have almost 2500 hours into BF5. I had loads of fun times with my buddies. Sadly we've all moved on with our lives and don't play much anymore.
@@RilezGamer marksman rifles like the Selbstlader M1916 Marksman in the Medic Class on BF1 are brilliant and get me most of the kills. Bloom is quite common, but, try get more accurate 🤣.
@@Lucius1050NO WAY TO GET MORE ACCURATE IN BF1 BRO. YOU CANT BE ACCURATE IN THE GAME WITH MATH.RANDOM RECOIL SYSTEM LMAO 🤣😂
@@Lucius1050 That's the issue with BF1 though, mechanics like random bullet deviation completely handicap the gunplay because you can only get so good at the game before you'll be at the mercy of RNG systems. That's why BFV's gunplay is infinitely superior
Hey mate, it’s me your killer! was absolutely priceless
I have been playing this a bunch lately. Very underrated game after all the polishing after an even rougher launch for a battlefield title.
This game was riddled with issues for a long time and design wise it didn't sit well with a lot of people with its super weird take on WW2. But mechanically this game is absolutely brilliant!
Love the gameplay on BF5❤ Keep the vids coming Jack!🙏
If BFV went free to play, Firestorm would become the most popular BR
I love it when big YTbers tell people when games are in sale. It's like it renews the player base a little bit every time. Thank you Jack.
At 7:53 it actually felt like a normal battlefield and realistic were you have your squad working as a team to push up on a enemy position and take them out and it takes coordination as a team and so many games and battlefield 2042 have lost that aspect and it feels so good to have it in games like this
Realistic... are you serious? Those character skins are laughable.
@@beerdemus2812it’s just the skin bro does it really bother you that much??
The Cheaters killed it for me.
jackfrags, I really enjoyed watching this, so I hit the like button!
Ah the usual bf cycle, hate the game at release and then have fond memories of it.
I love BFV! Only downside is the hackers. But that's pretty much any pvp game out there. Still a very solid game

BFV is the Most closest gaming experience to WW2 you can get for sure.
I do hope Battlefield returns to a WWII setting again and learn from their mistakes with BFV. It had the potential to one of the best. Imagine a Battlefield 1942 with BFV's graphics and movement, along with BF1's atmosphere.
Battlefield V is so good with me. Gotta download it and retry the experience I have forgotten years ago. Thanks for noticing me the game back.
Still an incredible game!
Compared to the new BF, it is.
Some great cinematic battles in the European theatre.
The bayonet tank grenade has given me some of the best clips. Love that game. If you get a full squad, the fun never ends.
If it weren't for it's abysmal marketing and launch, this is one of the best battlefield ever made. Gunplay, maps, vehicles, all of it was just perfect.
Marketing was only abysmal to incels.
@@Tinkering902or those of us who care about a BASIC level of historical authenticity to keep it somewhat believable.

i played bf 5 when it came out and it was not very good but after some time this game got addicting.
EA gives Jack another 2042 weekly “cope” sponsor

I wish the gameplay lasts at least 1h…it’s so satisfying to see, especially you, play it ❤
To date, Battlefield V has the best moment to moment gunplay there's ever been in a video game.
It's a shame it was cut down early in its life by a bad publisher and a bad initial studio.
Yes plus bfv and bf1 both don’t have many servers here in the US. I can still find some games in bfv but in bf1 I only see like two tdm servers every time I get on. They’re definitely better than everything since 4 came out
A fellow band of brothers at Christmas enjoyer! Not sure why I always watch this time of year but it’s a tradition
Who wants to play a game without community servers and full of cheaters... ill wait..
Bro. Community servers were added 4 years ago in bf5 😂😂😂
My parents moved me from the UK to US and the map is just giving me nostalgic vibes.
My copy won’t run on Win 11 for some reason. Top end system, can’t find a work around.
This game using cpu more than gpu..Play on medium settings turn off direct x 12 and vysnc..
Turn future frame rendering ON.
Use Dx11.
Helped allot.
VSync Off.
Keep the other settings.
Pls make more vids about bf5 btw huge fan and you made my day!
BF5 is too much of an arcade game, they should slow it down a bit and make it more realistic like Hell let loose.
That's a shame that Firestorm isn't as popular as the rest of the modes. Best Battle royale, imho
The headshot sound in this game is perfect!
They could easily announce a support pack w 2 new maps if the numbers justify a map pack, and maybe get the one or two cheaters on each server that's the only plague on bf5 still, they pull support on a awesome title so they can make the next half bake..
The grind was real. Loved it 👍🇺🇲
I got this game when it first dropped for PS5 and fell in love with it. Probably one of the top best 10 games out there in the world. imagine this on PC way smoother. The sniping is top notch in this. If anyone is looking for a squad or something let me know been dying to play this game but stop because it take soo much space just like COD😭
Man Band of Brothers is incredible, one of the best ever depictions of war on screen.
BF1 is still in my opinion the best Battlefield experience. The music, maps, weapons, sound design.
It was as authentic as they could get it, with a few creative liberties taken that made the game feel good to play.
BFV had a rough start but it was starting to get to the same level as BF1, right when they pulled the plug.
i will always watch your bf5 videos
They need to bring every single thing about this movement back to the series because nothing else can compare
Been really thinking about re-downloading BFV. Been playing so much BF1 over the past few months and I still enjoy it.
Just loaded mine up today and I never realised how much I loved it and how good the graphics are ❤
THE SOUNDS AND FEEL AND ATMOSPHERE OF BF1 AND BFV ARE SO MUCH BETTER
I PERSONALLY LOVE THE OLDER STYLE WW2 WW1 GUNS AND GAMES
My xbox boys, and I played this few weeks ago we had fun. When we see games like mw3, and bf42 in which is better now then when it began this game is standing the test of time. This game is on Xbox game pass for free bc of deal with EAplay. This is one of the most underrated BFs games and FPS multi in general. This game has action in which bf42 lacks.
PlayStation still have active players still a great game
I'll tell you why. The answer is simple. It was the last battlefield game to be developed by the original developers. They left Dice and EA. 2042 was created by call of duty developers.
I really enjoy it. Just bought it last week.
Same! I learned more about WW1 from BF1 than school.
My man can see the future with this FOV
Bfv is my favourite. Movement gunplay, maps everything is in my taste, i tried every battlefield no other entry Catch me like bfv. I came from unreal tournament, quake and apex so fast movement is something i crave in fps games. I know that sliding around wwii battlefield isnt something many people like, but for me who rather play fun arcade game than realistic game this entry was blessed for me
I've been playing alot of battlefield 1 lately. You're the first person I've seen ever say this game is good
It always amazes me how good this game still looks...
Me and my squad are running BF5 and Apex in rotation. I’m missing battlefield as a whole. Hope to God the next one isn’t a let down 🙏🏻
The best movement system in Battlefield history, should have been the standard going forward.
