Let's all take a moment to appreciate how hard these cars are getting pushed... look at the oversteer control and car rotation! I would love to know more about how these cars were setup.
So entertaining to watch these cars constantly on the precipice of oversteer. You can just chose your angle, the car takes a squat and holds it all the way through the corner. Looks like so much fun.
sorry disagree, they are both great drivers!, with different car set up/ diff settings, ....(it's always easy to follow a car , but harder when you are in front)
I think they just had both different lines for that corner, and the other driver was starting way earlier and so he thought that corner was his, and the driver we see thought the corner started later up and he maybe thought he had right for that corner
Did the dent in the Mustang in front happen because of @4:13, just a race ealier? Same corner? Same entry? ;] Cheers guys, need to get my '66 coupe on the up-and-up. And man is that thing loose!
Fixed them up and went out and had some more fun I hope 65' Mustangs aren't exactly 'priceless' either, they made so many of them that first gens aren't terribly expensive
A nice dice until the end when a typical overly aggressive, desperate attempt to overtake damaged both cars. Where did the driver of the in-car camera Mustang think the gold-topped car would or could go? Simply vaporise out of the way? Take to bumper cars instead, they'll better suit your style.
Camera car seems to have a slight horsepower disadvantage but better handling. Gold top car did a poor job of defending his position and left the door open. At 2:55 gold top makes a mistake overtaking lap traffic and pushes the camera into the grass. From then on the camera cAr gets more aggressive.
@@clintmullins4406 I think the trigger was at 2:46. The gold top car got stuck behind the white one and closed the passage of the camera car. What do you think?
Great video. I love seeing old race cars be driven to the ragged edge.
the dale Earnhardt school of driving,
if you cant pass em. just crash em.

Lead Mustang = Better Car
Chase Mustang = Better Driver
chrysops Agreed, but on the last move he went in way to hot.

Disagree, way too loose.
This video is wild. Shooting flames, drifting, aggression. Absolutely nuts.
Traction control: off.
Nice pass into the rough! Skill and talent all the way! This where the Cojones get tempered and tried, impending mass multiplied!!
Marvelous!
I would love to see the whole race from the outside of the cars, is there a link to that?
Yes ruclips.net/video/uLV1vqfDSQ8/видео.html
Sound so great!!!!
Miklos Bencsik Awesome!🏁
Wonder if my '65 Mustang Fastback I sold to a buyer in the U.K. was on this track?
Dam good drivers. Very nice cars.
Vintage rubber! That's what racing on bias ply tires looks like. Very nice.

Who was driving the lead car? Soper or Davies? Flawless 15 degree slip angles.
Davies
they looked surreal, loved it
And that's how it was done!
Love it
what do they do with those priceless cars after there all banged up and dented?
Fixed them up and went out and had some more fun I hope

Homeboy was walkin it!!

Clint Mullins Perfect analysis.

@@clintmullins4406 exactly and no wonder gold top already had a mangled left quarter, he gets into stuff he can't buff out of.
Anybody got some lap times maybe?
Dirty overtake at the but that other car was all over the place
Gold top was fancy-pants'in with his dutch roll, cool but didn't get him any faster.
Bel Canto
Mustang ahead was loose on the road then crunch. Oh shit happens.
Well that was kind of rude
Mustang battles always end up with crashes I see 😂
Obviously fake mustangs, they never hit any crowds.
there wasn't one stang one that track without at least one bent panel!
