U got it wrong/inaccurate on the solar panel test there. The screen will show nothing(just like your screen does). You have to cover the watch with your hand for 3 seconds to stop the watch from getting any light. Then take your hand off. If the screen shows 8888, it means the solar panel is working.
>That's so cool, i have no idea how u even figured this out or know about this haha. I have GMW B5000GD-9, i just wish u can see the level of battery in the watch and not only the app. The 3 things i THINK u can do only in the app and not the watch i think is set the backlight time like 2 or 4 second light settings, button sounds, maybe the hourly beep too. I'm not sure, you know a lot more than me.
Hi! Thanks for this tutorial! I got a question: the 3 button test works on my ga 2200 but the module number is different than what's on the back of my watch? The module number says 5674 on the back of my watch but on the display test it says 5590. Any idea why?
My GM-S2100 module is 5663, but the LCD is showing 5590 too. People in my g shock community said the number should match with the module number if this is genuine G Shock. But I believe mine is genuine since GM-S2100 is still no fake being sell anywhere, and I also open the back case and see the movement is basically the same with the one that shown by a youtube channel who open the same GM-S2100..
I have an AW-591 and although it has the auto illumination function which works perfectly fine, thetilt sensor test does not work on my watch...Any ideas why?
I have your same model (B5000D). While tilt test works perfectly, the SLR doesn’t show anything, even under direct sun light. I see your doesn’t show 8888 as well, so I’m wondering how it’s supposed to work.
@@lock_ when you enter this menu and you are in bright environment, you need to cover it up couple of second, the watch will then sense the change of state from presence of light (voltage in the PV element) to absence of light, then it will display 8888 as sign that the PV is detecting change - thus the PV is working and delivering voltage to the charging IC

To be honest I really don't know either same ga100 at the back of the watch is different on the module number or manual booklet guide.
Same here for my gm2100b it’s showing as 5590 any ideas?

You should tilt your hand with the elbow at the same level as the wrist, not low, not near your waist. Hope thats the problem, not a faulty sensor...
What's the watch?

Thank you! Super super helpful

Update: it seems it’s the opposite. If there’s light, it doesn’t show anything. If it’s dark it shows 8888.
