- Can’t believe this is my 7th annual Bday Rant… (made a mistake and said 6 in this video) and boy have I evolved. I started this tradition when I was 27 with a vow to never complain about my age and I’ve held on to that since. What a privilege to get older 🙏🏽
This year’s rant is all about fear…

I had forgotten that you started this birthday rant by saying this is your "Jesus year," Nalie. And indeed it is! I just saw the news that you are fully united with Jesus for almost a month now. I have been following you since 2016 and appreciated all your videos. I can't believe that this was your final birthday rant. You lived your life to the fullest and inspired many people along the way. Rest in peace, sweet Nalie.💔😇
RIP my love I have followed you for years nows. I was rooting for you for so long & I am so sorry you were taken from this earth so early. I never met you in my life but felt like I did through your beautiful words. You were so beautiful and I will miss you so fckin much Nalie.
I come back here every so often to listen to you. I know you’re gone but your wisdom and outlook have influenced me tremendously. I was actually a year older than you, but you are my hero and role model. RIP Nalie.

OMG- It was so amazing to see you again for your birthday rant! I have been watching you for the last five years when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer. You are an inspiration! My take from your “rant” is to stop living in fear and enjoy life. While I have a chemo, surgery, pain journey… it is nothing compared to you. Thank you for helping me through my hard times, and I pray that your live journey is blessed with peace. I take you message of acknowledging fear and moving past it seriously. Happy 33rd Birthday. My husband and I seem to be mirroring the life you and Vee share; he is also a November baby, he will be 33 this year and unfortunately, have also had the palliative word thrown at us. I want to show him your video as he is going through the same ups and downs that you just described. Happy birthday Nalie! I am an ovarian cancer survivor so I understand what you’re talking about regarding using fear as insulation to avoid disappointment. When I was going through treatment, scans, etc. I had this notion that if I imagined the worst possible outcome, somehow that would control it…. Enjoy your party! So glad you have lots of friends to celebrate with!

Nalie, I hope you had a lovely birthday. I totally love your vibe. Battling this horrible disease, it’s totally like a roller coaster ride, with the ups and downs. I certainly live many life, grabbing every moment. I’m currently off treatment, until it progresses. Mine had gone to my lungs and bones. I have one spot left on my bones.
