- As we have been reflecting on Nalie’s life over the last few weeks, it’s clear she lived a life filled with passion, determination, fun, and so much love.
The family played an imperative role in shaping her into the wonderful human we all knew and loved. Her parents, brothers, and Lola were the pillars she leaned on to guide and protect her while growing up as the baby of the family. They instilled the core values that she held onto until her last day with us. Little did we know, she would turnout to be the one we all looked to for advice and motivation.
Nalie loved to travel, especially with Vee. She’d opt for the scenic route, was the first to jump off a cliff, hop on an elephant or try a strange new food. Any chance she had to get on a plane, she would. Whether it was to surprise friends, a quick vacation, a month long adventure, or to give inspiring talks.
Over the last decade, Nalie achieved more than most in a lifetime. She built a loyal community online by eloquently sharing her most vulnerable moments. Her words, videos, and voice helped countless people globally navigate their own challenges. She also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity, partnered with the world’s biggest brands, launched online guides, workshops, retreats, a podcast, The Nalie Show live, and became a best selling author with the Diary of Nalie.
She was a magnet for good vibes. Nalie loved organising events by bringing her family and friends together whenever possible. Birthdays, Pool Parties, Beach Days and NYE were legendary. Despite everything she went through in the last 9 years, her hope and belief for a bright future kept a big smile on her face as she always saw the silver lining in every situation.
This video tribute offers a glimpse into the amazing life Nalie had lived. Use this as a reminder that life can be unpredictable so love deeply, push boundaries, and be kind to yourself. The rest will take care of itself.

I'm a breast cancer survivor much older but she inspired me. I've been following her since 2017 when I first found out that I had breast cancer. She fought a good fight and taught all of us to fight. I didn't see the notice before my sister did and my sister sent me the notice of Nalie's passing. Even though I didn't know her personally I knew her enough to mourn for the loss that we endure because of her passing.

Wow sorry for your loss. I'm a black man from the States who's been following your sister for over 3 years. I have 2 sisters who had breast cancer. One is doing well but the other one cancer came back as a form of brain cancer so prayers for her. I was saddened to check up on your sister today to see that she had passed. Her energy was amazing and her smile was so bright. I wish the family peace during this time.
This is a beautiful tribute to Nalie. She was adamant that she did not want a funeral with everyone dressed in black and crying. She wanted a celebration of her life and this is it. I’m certain that she would have liked it.
I’ve never seen anyone fight so hard for life in such a positive way. I will live a better life because of Nalie, I thank you for that. Rest In Piece.
I watched Nalie during my treatments. She took away my loneliness. I asked my angels to take great care of her and to look over her family. This news leaves a hole in my heart. I can't fathom what it feels to her family.
I won't say I'm sorry, I've been following Nalie's channel since my wife got diagnosed with breast cancer and I believe she had so huge impact on cancer survivors that I feel we should rather celebrate these 33 years of her positivity and strength. It's very rare. She was a gift for all of us, she changed the world around her. I'm happy and honored to be a part of her journey. God bless Nalie! 🙏

I found Nalie’s Ted Talk when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and she gave me so much hope. I must have watched the hair growth video 50 times. Such an amazing person with so much joy and a huge heart. You could see her love for her family and friends in all her actions. I have so much respect for her and your family. I was diagnosed with MBC in 2018. I first found Nalie’s RUclips video “how to tie a head scarf” and was immediately drawn to her infectious energy. When I learned of her passing, I sobbed so deeply and felt like I had lost a friend.
I am nearing my 4-year cancerversary. I have gained so much wisdom and hope from Nalie’s journey, and I promise to keep fighting for her and everyone else who has been touched by cancer. Love you Nal, and God bless your loved ones❤️

Like almost everyone here, I started following her after being diagnosed with cancer. My breast cancer journey started on December of 2019 and since then I have watched her. OMG!!!! I came across Nalie’s videos a few months ago and was mesmerized by her strength. The support she had surrounding her and all that she went through. She was still positive through it all. She had her moments where she cried, but who wouldn’t. At the end through the tears, there was strength and fire in her!! REST IN POWER!!! You truly were a girl on fire!!!! I felt like I knew her! To her family, her husband, friends and followers….. man, this is tough! My prayers are with you/us all! She lived a super beautiful life. Your spirit, love of life and character lives on!!!!

My sister passed of breast cancer at the age of 37 back in 2008 and Nalie’s story completely resonates. I send you, Nalie’s family, my condolences. You must be so proud of her, she helped so many people, was a bright light and she will always remain a bright light for everyone. While words cannot completely heal, I know the support helps and most of all, her beautiful smile and all the happy memories with her will be the easiest way to get through this. I've been wanting to write something but I haven't found the right words. I can't believe her passing affected me so much. I never had the opportunity to meet Nalie. I followed her journey since I found out a year later I had breast cancer. Ever since never stopped. Today I live with metastatic breast cancer. She inspired me to live my own journey in an amazing way! THRIVING! Will never forget the strong meaning she gave that word. I'm not even near her hometown. How can one feel so much pain without knowing personally the other person 😫 it still hurts 💔 I can't imagine her family 😢, Vee, close friends, Neo...how much she is being missed by all of them. I'm heart broken. My breast cancer even with a double mastectomy still came back and now it's secondary cancer. There's no cure but I'm very positive. To hear about Nalie is so heart breaking. She was so young and full of life. Rest in peace Nalie. May your family receive much love and comfort through this very difficult time xx❤️

I'm so sad to hear of Nalie passing. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Oct the same year as Nalie. I watched her video to help me get thru during my early diagnosis n treatment.

My husband passed last year from cancer also and since you guys share the same birth month and year I had to show him your birthday video. That november was his last birthday also. I am so deeply sorry for Nalie’s passing. I’m just see this post now. It got me in tears. I’ve been following Nalie for a little over a year when I was Diagnosed with breast cancer. I would watch Nalie video sometimes late at night when I couldn’t sleep. I’m glad that She shared her life with us. Nalie you will be missed. Prayers to your family and friends. This world will have a big hole without Nalie! What she did in her short life is more than what many of us could do in several lifetimes. I've prayed for her, laughed and cried with her, and loved her from afar since finding her on the web shortly after my own breast cancer diagnosis. My hope is that Nalie is dancing in all her glory with all of the loved ones that have gone before her. She was and is a radiant soul! I look forward to meeting her one day when I join her on the other side of this life.

I am saddened to read this about nalie passing. She helped me so so much after my diagnosis 7 years ago. I looked up to her and she was so infectious to watch. Literally made me feel positive and fight. I can’t thank her for all she did for me and many others but I thank her in my healings and meditations and know she will fly high wherever she goes. My condolences. Nalie was an inspiration & will be missed. I am a survivor of St 3 TNBC and was watching her videos in 2017 as I finished my treatment. My cancer might have returned now & it might be St 4. Waiting for testing. I came looking for Nalie and have sadly found that she passed. So sorry. 💕🙏 RIP
