Thank you for this, I was diagnosed with breast cancer 4/1/24 and my family has been terrible through this process, half of my family, including my dad doesn’t even know I have cancer. So grateful that I have my boyfriend he’s always there. I don’t know where I would be without his support.

In 4 days it'll be 3 weeks after my double mastectomy. This year has been so weird, it's really surprising the ways in which people change and respond to you. Lost a couple of friends, but I never imagined how much support I'd get from my brother.
Hey breastie! You survived your DMX!!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 The first couple of weeks are the hardest, are your drains out yet? I am wishing you a speedy recovery and I really hope the rest of your treatment (if you have any more) goes well. Cancer really brings out both the best and the worst in people doesn’t it? I am so glad you’re close with your brother, it makes all the difference, having support in your life during treatment. ❤️
I had some friends and family do the same thing. It is hurtful. But it says more about them than about you. I'm lucky to have people who care and check on me even when I don't feel like being bothered. Lol. I'm glad you found your real support system 💜
Hey Ram, I’m so sorry you experienced ghosting by family and friends 😢 that sucks so much! Having it happen while on cancer is even worse!!! I am really glad you also have people in your life who are there for you! They’re the real ones! I hope cancer is just a distant memory for you now, but I’m here for you regardless of where you are in your journey! ❤️
Watching this as I recover from my dbl mastectomy. I heard this saying years ago and I find it to be true. “You’re not the main character in everyone’s story.” I felt when I was told I had cancer that the world would stop for me. Nope, it kept on going without me. I think cancer pushed me off my pedestal.

That’s completely true, I know we’re not the main character in other people’s story, I didn’t think I was. I think I would’ve appreciated some compassion from people i thought would be there for me through this. Are you finding people are there for you?
@@Bad.B.Parade i want to apologize, I never thought you were on a pedestal when watching your videos. I can definitely say I truly thought I was one of a few elements that made the world go around. I was a hot mess. I think the people around me were uncomfortable. They didn’t know what to say. They didn’t know how to help. Everyone has their own way of showing support. One friend texts me everyday with something encouraging. Another close friend barely said anything, then one day I received a book of encouragement in the mail with a beautiful letter. I look back and can remember hearing that someone had cancer. I would say to myself, that’s so sad and go on with my life. Going through this has weeded out who really are my friends. I am doing well. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks post surgery. I wish you only the best and look forward to more videos.

I need to get all my crazy out haha! Girl I feel you too! I’m still a hot mess. I am facing cancer almost alone. My adult daughter is always distant from me. I have one friend who likes to share memes which I suppose is a way of support. My second parents haven't called me once. I met my faux dad and he tried to never mention c word. I have no one to physically help me. I'm trying to get home health aide but they keep sending them when I am well the day before i get chemo. My parents are gone and I feel so desperate for someone caring sometimes. Thank you for posting this. It's the only video I've seen on this topic.

Wow, girl your friends sound terrible. Sounds like they had issues going on before you were diagnosed. One sided friendships suck. I wish we were closer a real friend will be there for you when you're up and doing well or down and not doing so well. I am glad you got some friends to be there for you. I care for you :) Even if we don't know each other. I have to actually go get different photos and ultrasound done on my breasts tomorrow. They "found" something. I am hoping its not where they want another biopsy that sucked, I ended up passing out. Lets use our channel for venting and for getting everything off your chest. Hang in there.
