Really enjoying your videos! Bit the bullet and purchased my first boat today! Pro Boat 26” Recoil Heatwave. Can’t wait for it to arrive and have some fun over the holidays.
To stop the teflon liner spinning simply get some plumbers ptfe tape, wrap the tape around the outside of the liner in 3 separate areas along the liner. Wrap enough ptfe tape to give a nice tight slide in fit of the liner into the stuffing tube, been doing this for years to stop a spinning liner & works every time. also makes it pretty easy getting the liner out of the stuffing tube should you need to for maintainance. The ptfe tape wrap also stops any water coming up the stuffing tube gap there is between a loose liner & the bore of the stuffing tube, try this method as its dead simple & only take minutes to do.
Been waiting for this video!!!Love the Allen key trick🧠Good to know to put some adhesive on the liner. Look forward to see the Shreddy run! Great video
Doubt It's got self righting, probably need to move the speed control over to center or completely move it to the right side of the boat to unlock Self-Righting with an inrunner motor
ditch that teflon liner.the next thing too go will be the caps on the esc. mine cooked first run in the ul19. so i just took them off when changing the leads. it still runs to this dday . just not in the heavy 19 hull
That heat shrink is getting changed out, but I really don't think it would make a huge difference even if it went getting changed out. Thanks for looking out.
Another excellent example of ‘ironclading’ bro. It is very helpful to see you applying your tips and tricks for working on boats. I truly learn something everytime I watch one of your bench sessions. BG4LIFE
Just curious if you have a program box for the Dynamite ESC? I’m guessing the chatter is caused from the timing being to high for that out runner motor. The stock Dynamite esc’s have added timing for use with the stock in-runner motors.
Could it be a timing issue with the esc & motor? I never really understood the timing thing myself. BTW great idea using an Allen key to hold the bullet while soldering 👍🏻
Big B, I hope this message reaches you. I'm having an issue on my Recoil 2. I liked your setup so I got the same leopard motor but when I bind my FlySky remote with the OSE 150A ESC, at full throttle the motor doesn't spin but when I release the throttle to the neutral position, it acts as if I'm pulling full trigger. When I pull the trigger, it returns to neutral. I've spent hours trying to figure this issue out and I'm about ready to just throw a different ESC in it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. #ComeOn
Make sure your throttle endpoints are at zero when you go thru the startup binding procedure, also check throttle reverse, set the throttle trim & dual rate to zero,
@IRONCLADRC I just did what you recommended. I think I have a faulty ESC and was hoping there was something in my remote setup or possibly something I could do with the programming. I hooked a different ESC up, and it powered right up and worked. I now own a brand new OSE 150A ESC that's useless. Lol. I appreciate your expertise and love the videos. You're the man!
@josephdirte85 it's not faulty, I have had a couple do what your esc is doing, I had a couple settings in my transmitter wrong. I wish I could help more. With out actually seeing your transmitter settings there isn't much I can help with.
@@IRONCLADRC I've finally given up on the OSE 150A ESC. I tried everything. There's only so many settings on the FlySky FS-GT3B to change and nothing is working. I gave in and ordered a SeaKing 180A from OSE.
Oh man that's a bummer. Just for personal gain what batteries were you running? Stock prop or upgraded? When I blew my esc I had a 100c 5000 4s spektrum pack, with a 42 high rake prop. Toast!!!
3700mah 60c zeee. Stock prop. Unfortunately the dynamite 120amp i ordered to replace it came the day before this video haha. Oh well new motor it is. Yours looks like it goes really good.

I like the looks of this boat. Has that late 80’s early 90’s look with the pink and blue..

Ty big B for sharing more of your considerable knowledge with us again
Thanks for watching

WE STILL HAVE A FOOT OF ICE ON THE LAKES. SO THE MADEN RUN WILL BE A WHILE. GREAT VIDEO.
They way you soldier was 🐐
Nice. Let's see it run!
Will be very interesting to see Shreddy on Park Pond hopefully tomorrow particularly if their is still the self righting!!
Doubt It's got self righting, probably need to move the speed control over to center or completely move it to the right side of the boat to unlock Self-Righting with an inrunner motor
Finally! Lets get it!

YOU DON"T LIKE TEFLON LINERS ?😳😲
Did you notice the red head shrink overlapped the female bullet hole and you pressed it in when connecting to the motor side. @8:24

I’ve been having a similar sound on my m41, I was kinda wondering if I was hearing the liner spin in the stuff tube
How would bind to different transmitter like Spectrun DX5 and program channel 3 for the self righting feature.
The stock reciever won't bind to a dxd you'll need to get a sr315 or sr215. You'll loose the Self-Righting button feature

I've tried a few different timing changes with the dynimite, the motor did it with the stock esc too with high discharge 4s batteries..
6:22 it chatters because it’s unloaded. Does it do that in the water?
Oh yea, even worse when it's in the water. Only tested it in the water paired with the 120 dynimite, only chatters on 4s, 3s performed as expected

I think a lower timing would be best
Is the flywheel/weight balanced? On the stock motor? I think this is something yhat should be looked at if it's any help??
It feels balanced,
@IRONCLAD RC slightly bent shaft maybe?? Just spit balling some maybe's...
Another twin to come soon ?

I'm a rook, can I just buy the ic3 to ic5 adapter to run a 5000 mah 100c 4s battery on this boat?
@danielackerman8657 it might be okay? It will work for sure, eventually you may want to consider Soldering the correct conector on
Two runs on 4s blew my esc blew a reciever and servo. All stock out of box! Piece of junk!
