I understand your viewpoint, but my personal experience with the X600 speakers differs. I own two of these and have them paired for stereo sound. Whether used individually or together, they deliver exceptional audio quality. My extensive collection of lossless music files particularly shines when played through these speakers, noticeably outperforming the sound quality from streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music. While I acknowledge that there might be superior Bluetooth speakers available, considering the price point of the Soundcore X600, I believe they offer unparalleled sound quality in their category.
Good Evening from Sydney how's going ? Sorry just wondering .. I already have a Motion+ and Not sure if I should buy one more for pairing or buy two X600 while its on sale in Australia for AUD129 Thanks .. I wish I can hear the performance with your Hi-Res files .. Oh are you still using X600 now by the way ? Thanks
Show me a better Bluetooth Speaker for 139 Bucks! Bose Flex? I don't think so. The X600 is not overhyped, it's a very good Deal, because you get alot for your money. I personally wouldn't spend 500 or 1000$ on a Portable Speaker, so i'm very happy with the X600.
Onyx studio 7- 150$ Trbit stormbox blast- 150$ Motion boom - 80$ Motion boom plus - 130$ Motion boom 2 - 150$ All of these speakers knock the X600 out the water
Thank you for your honest, detailed review. It's a nice speaker, but so many people just overhyped this into something it's not. I gotta drop my review later on this month to help expose the truth, but keep up the good work👍
Thanks for a really honest review - first one I have seen for the Soundcore Motion x600 because I was beginning to wonder whether I needed to sell my Bose Flex for this but now I think I realise there was a lot of paid ads that did not display that they were ads - that's a bit of a scandal in my opinion because then you can't trust content you watch as being impartial! RUclips should ban that if it wants a decent platform. I think I am going to stick to my Bose Flex and maybe get another Bose Flex to stereo pair
We need more RUclipsrs like yourself this is a channel where the real speaker heads go to get their reviews (the good and the bad, sometimes just the bad). A shame when some companies change over the span of a couple of years and some popular products
For a budget speaker i think it's a great buy. I'm looking forward to receiving mine very soon. I did not buy this speaker on reviews or it's so called overhyped on RUclips. I bought it for it's design and size. Edited 2/1/24 ; After updating the latest firmware, EQ adjusted with the lower Freq 100Hz adjusted down to almost zero (flat) I feel it's a great listen. Why would you have it set to plus 8db in the first place makes no sense. When adjusting the volume above 85% volume, the speaker starts to distort but I feel over 80% is loud enough. Mine doesn't have any vibration issues. Placement does help when listening to this speaker having it near a wall for a better listening experience. Overall, I'm very happy with it, extremely well built, sounds very clear / open for the size and price of $220AUD / 117 pounds.
I know that a speaker this small and in this price category will not replace a full sound system. But in the world of portable bluetooth speakers, is this a good choice?
Interestingly, in my market it's the best deal. It goes in Japan for like $130 USD, since Anker adjusts their price a lot for different markets. If I were in the US I might choose something else, though.
Good Evening from Sydney how's going ? Sorry just wondering .. I already have a Motion+ and Not sure if I should buy one more or buy two X600 while its on sale in Australia Thanks
i sold my motion+ to get this ! and i think motion+ had better sound ! i really regret my decision ! what do you think about x600 ? i feel i get distort at high volume ! specially in metal and rock music! and when i turn on top speaker ! the sound is even worse ! it get little clearer but at cost of losing overall quality! what do you think about xtreme 4 or jbl a300 ? i would try these ..
So i own one, The top speaker is on regardless of spatial button on or off, the spatial audio button actually just changes from mono to stereo and turns up the top speaker slightly. I think their marketing is a bit sly with that button but they dont use the trademarked version of 'spatial' audio or 'lossless' so it sneaks by in my eyes even though its just stereo, the spatial button technically makes it more spacious by turning on stereo mode. But yeah just call it what it is, a stereo speaker with some weird mono top fill, that works ok to give extra spatial fill. I worked it out but turning mono outpuit on and off with and without spatial mode, no difference when mono switched on PC output and spatial audio off. when mono mode switched on with spatial on, it sounds like non spatial mode. (i think the waveguide give illusion of stereo even when playing mono) That is one of my biggest ups for this speaker, the waveguides actually separate and stop negative interactions betwen speakers close together. overhyped: yes Good speaker: yes (if bought for under 200 aud) i bought for 129 aud on special recently. Sneaky marketing (which i think is everyone's main issue): yes But absolutely one of the better Bluetooth speakers for under 150aud, i just wanted something sleek that could play down to 50hz and have proper stereo, for that its perfect. I havent been above about 50% volumes as its super loud indoors at least. With minor EQ it really comes alive it hates 125-500hz, notch it down and its a very very pleasurable listening experience. The battery life is actually great if you dont have LDAC on which is not needed for most media websites, its a loud speaker at low volumes IMO. And just remember, it take about 30 hours of play for everything to soften up (GR research channel has measurements for new speakers over time) So distortion above 80% does indeed lessen over time.
Soundcore marketing is out of control. There's no officially licensed form of spatial audio that even works over Bluetooth. It's just an upward firing speaker which is fine but they try to make it sound like it's magic.
The ads just make me laugh as it seems they're promoting it to try and get people to use as the stereo at home. I want an x600 but it will never provide real spatial audio like my component stereo systems
Alan Ross Reviews did a video about the X5/600, I got the 500 cause of the hype from New Stuff TV! The 500 was after the hype that I bought it 2 months later.
This is the best sounding speaking I've heard by far in the price range. You don't see this for sale in the shops but when i hear the €250 range, i can honestly say the x600 sounds a lot better. So i don't know about the hype. It's a home speaker with great clear sound that you can tweak to sound even better.
Battery life is disappointing. The Motion Boom has 24 hrs I can attest to that as I own one and a better bass. I might buy the X-600 when the price comes down as the speaker sounds fine as I'm put to sleep everynight by either my Motion+ or Motion Boom.
Hi, I've just recently purchased one of these soundcore x 600 after chicken at reviews. I believe I've got only half as many Bluetooth speaker is. You've got you've. Mentioned the 2023 review. But you never mentioned a speaker that was better. value for money. That would be a much more interesting video than the negativity. Cause I think this speaker is not my best speaker. But my second best speaker, have you ever checked out the GMM E5.I know it 7 years old but sounds life like anyone agree.
Man I keep seeing “fake reviews” on this I OWN the x600 I enjoy it for what it is but I still prefer my xtreme3 more than sound cores. X600 is bright, lacks the bass in the JBL. X600 fun to listen to more of vocals
You can try a PA/Drum Amp. I got a Simmons DA2108 for my edrums and it has Bluetooth to drum along to my music. It gets extremely loud and sounds really good too. It retails for $179, but is sometimes on sale for less. I paid $145 for mine on sale. It is not battery powered, must be plugged in; but unlike a home system it is self powered (no need for separate receiver).
I had to search long and hard to find a single review of any Soundcore product that isn't blatant SHILLs. Soundcore is off the scale when it comes to aggressive marketing, including blocking negative reviews and an army of shills on social media. I agree 100%. Very overhyped, over rated, mediocre speaker, not worth $200. Costco sells them for about $120, actually soundcore selling it for $130 now. For that price, it's okay. Not bad. If you don't already have something. Soundcore used to be good value for money, not anymore. People expect $200 soundcore to be like a $400 big brand. But it's not even close. I will say the speaker has really good clarity and top end. Very good for listening to podcasts for example. The bass is lacking, big time. When you see how small the drivers are, it makes sense. Nothing special for listening to music. Mediocre at best. Soundcore has other speakers which are better than this one for music for the same or less money. The gimmick for this one is "spatial audio." Ofc it's not actually special audio, just like the battery life is greatly exaugurated for all their products also. I used to suggest people buy soundcore for decent value in the budget segment. Not anymore. I tell people to avoid it now. $200 for this speaker is a joke.
Well... It is definitely overhyped, it's definitely overpriced, it certainly could use more deep bass, you can buy almost three together much better sounding Motion Booms from the same stable for its price, there are multiple firmwares that make its signature EQ sound different... BUT... The sound the X600 produces it can mostly handle without horrible sound artefacts unlike some even more costly 'designer' speakers you've recently reviewed
Yeah when spatial audio has custom EQ audio can be fine , Rockysteady is mostly suffering bit of treble boost and lack of EQs sadly hasn't helped it the x600 is between db1 - qd35

Even with the limitation of the LDAC codec, it has an auxiliary input just like the motion plus, which is HiRes.

How can u compare it to a full bodied system?
Thats silly.
Apples and oranges
Its those paid reviewers who claim its audio system 🙈😈
If it’s not the best speaker for the money what do you recommend that sounds better? Thanks

Good question.
Bose flex
motion plus
I’d say Bose Flex. I love my Flex. Very clean and clear sound. Usually on sale for $119 lately.
@@MaddyIndia Would you say the Bose Flex sounds better? I have the Bose Flex and was wondering if I should get this to replace it?
FUN FACT:
With Spatial Audio off, the upfiring driver is still on.
On x600 not maybe on x500 because it needs it to get some treble
