What did you use for the Bimini top (base pivot point)?
Is it a glued on base mount?
Nothing, I just let the rubber base rest and stick against the top of the rubber pontoon. Yes it did move, but much much less than anyone would think. Made it seem pointless to figure out a more permanent solution if it was just going to be broken down again soon.
Great video! I’m looking to get one to use on several of the lakes in northeast Tennessee. Since it’s been a while since this was filmed - how is your boat holding up….any quality issues, mainly leaks?
Thabk you! No, no leaks or rips. No issues at all. I would use the number plate we used. You can check out that video as well. We are actually going to sell it since we have a fullsize boat now. But nothing to do with its performance just not going to get used like it was before. May be worth upgrading to a hard floor if you will do lots of fishing or people without strong sea legs. But the floor was walkable on the water. The bimini is a great add on, and plan to double up padding on seats to help with long haul comfort. All in all a great build quality. What's the max hp on the boat? Did you have any issues getting it registered?
It says 9HP, but you could get away with a 12 or 18 I am sure long as it's a short shift and not overloading the boat with other weight. I didn't have a single issue. DMV males it's seem a little confusing and more complicated than it is. Wasn't questioned on one doc from the BoatsToGo or anything. Didn't need any other special docs.**SK**

Is the transom good for a short shaft outboard?
Yes it is. That's what we have a short shaft. Anything under 60lbs and a short shaft should hold up well.
