Recommendation for the future - do a vid just only on the setting up of the new equipment and share the pros and cons. this will also allow you to get the attention of the manufacturer and they ...well perhaps will approach you. 2nd segment would be putting the new equipment to the test and how you feel about it. You have a lot of fantastic sharing opportunity on your experience. Looking forward to it.
WOW !!! I actually thought it was a "Thunder Cat" !! More room, more fuel ...... Bigger Fishing Adventures !!!! Can't wait to see you get some scales in the New Boat !!!!
I think these boats are awesome. It will take me some time, but this is what I will buy for a dingy when I get the money. I have a 32' Freedom sailboat and this is the perfect dinghy for an older person like me. That scoop in the back makes it much easier to get in and out of the dinghy from the water. That was what clinched it for me.
I found this video looking for a boat like yours and found one of your old videos lol. Could you do a full review of the new one including the motor you upgraded to? I would appreciate it.

Nice little boat Rod. These inflatables are deceptively stable and durable. Will be much better than kayak and skiff for trips away. Could even tow the yak with you. Looking forward to see how you set it up. 👍👍

Hi Mate, great boat, I've gone from wanting to buy a Stealth kayak, to the Microsoft, but then I've got two young kids and no place to stow a boat, so decided looking at inflatables including this one and just ended up buying a Kaboat 470XL which should be delivered any day now. In process of buying a outboard -9.9hp4stroke. Maybe I will see you out there once I'm setup as I'm also on the GC. Enjoy
I just received my True Kit Discovery from Rod and I LOVE the quality. I've paired it with a brand new Mercury 9.9 four stroke 15" short shaft. The stock prop that came with the motor makes it hard for the boat to get on the plane. If and when it does get on the plane the prop spins in the water and revs high before it catches again making the boat slow down then surge forward again, over and over. Has anyone had experience with this motor / boat combo. This all occurs with me 185 pounds, my wife 105 pounds, gas tank, bench seats and a small bucket with a few supplies.
I’m having the same revving problem with my set up. I have a short shaft 15hp Yamaha 2 stroke which planes very quickly when 2 up. But the revving is confusing me. I don’t have a hydrofoil, which promotes earlier planing. But I’m thinking I might have to get one to fix this issue. Or a cupped prop which seams to be common advise. I’m curious if you’ve had any luck though? Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem with mine. Added an hydrofoil, the nose comes down quicker, but not a fix. Think I may have to lower the engine on the transom by an inch or two to give the prop more bite. Which means cutting the transom down. Anyone else have a better fix for this?
Can you mount a bimini top on the Aircat? In principle yes, but how is the stability? There is a risk of the boat capsizing when the wind is strong. However, the bimini top should only be set up when anchoring (shading). What is your opinion?
It’s a cool looking boat but I would be worried about fishing in it not so much about getting a hook in the side but pulling a fish onto it might spike it have a look at the porta boat range they are fold up tinys and are awesome.
I think I may pick this over the solo skiff here in Florida, I currently fish a predator pdl from old town but this would really get me out to the better reefs
