    A dad and his son out on the boat. Is there anything better? The boat looked like it handled real nice. You guys were moving along real good. I like the house. It looks like the ones down here in the keys. Nice video. I do feel bad about the whale though.

    Nice father and son day always the best. Just wandering how you did the seats there

    • @arcosdebaja4316
      @arcosdebaja4316  8 месяцев назад

      Now looking back i probably should have made a short video. I basically just measured the inside and built a box and covered it in carpet then mounted two seats that also met the measurement requirement. It was not that difficult and worth the effort. Thanks for watching Mike.

    How easy was it to install wheels ? Any tips you can share ?

    • @arcosdebaja4316

      Sorry for the late response, it is pretty straight forward just make sure the wheels are low enough and use sealant.

    Have you used the front mount for a trolling motor at all yet? I have a 14ft inflatable and I'm thinking about grabbing this model because it has the front mount already built in..

    • @arcosdebaja4316
      @arcosdebaja4316  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching and no we have not used the trolling mount. I pretty sure we will never have a need for it but i will say its definitely solid and would work well if you used it.

    Do you leave the boat inflated all the time?

    • @arcosdebaja4316
      @arcosdebaja4316  Год назад

      Thanks for watching and yes we do. I do leave it slightly under pressure and pump it up fully before use. I also remove the motor to help not stress the transom and cover the boat with a heavy canvas tarp. Thanks Mike

    Thank you for posting. I'm debating buying the same boat but torn between the fb and hd fishing boat model. I'm curious about the seat modification for your boy. How did you make or buy it. Didn't see you had a video on it.

      Do you have to mount the box to the floor& if not does it slide?

    • @arcosdebaja4316
      @arcosdebaja4316  2 года назад +1

      @@nigelnorwood7365 No the box is just sitting on the floor, the box is just slightly bigger than the inside with which allows the tubes to hold it once inflated.

      @@nigelnorwood7365 the FB is better suited for lakes and rivers. HD has a deeper v hull which is best for saltwater

      @@gmiller9595 thank you didn't consider the hull... just wish the fb was as wide with same number of chambers... guess with the extra protection underneath they figure you don't need it. But I'll Mainly use on lakes so thanks for your clarification

    I have a 13’ saturn boat can you suggest a trailer. I use a boat ramp but it takes me about an hour to set up looking for a trailer that will fit this kind of boat

    • @arcosdebaja4316
      @arcosdebaja4316  2 года назад

      First off thank you for watching, yes the Harbor Fright folding trailer works perfect. You can do a few modifications if you want but do not really need to. Hopefully by the end of this month i will have a video out about the trailer and how i modified it.Thanks again for watching Mike.

      I got the SD385. I used to take it down like you do. My seats on a CE smith multi sport trailer. Boat transom ends right at the rear cross channel so I can support it unless you take the motor off every time. Learned my lesson without supporting the transom with motor on, glue came apart from wood than leaked in less than a year (warranty not cover). Also Saturn never prime/seal the wooden transom where is glued. I ended up had to remove the whole thing than dry, sand, clamp & glue. I hope this helps.

    I can't believe you drove that nice Polaris into the saltwater. Your boat has transom wheels. Was the sand too soft to use them?

    I’m glad I got the 12ft. I think that would be too big for me. I take mine down and store it when not in use.

    • @arcosdebaja4316

      It is a bit heavy for sure but i think in our case using it in the Sea of Cortez it was the right choice for us. We will be taking it down when we travel down the Baja Coast. Thanks for watching Mike.
