    In this Premier Pro video editing tutorial, we will use keyframes to manually keyframe out call out title along with a moving object in this video clip and use a series of clicks that will make the best of a situation that isn’t yet automated in Premiere Pro. We will then create a mask to pixelate out somebody’s face and use the auto-tracking feature to use the power of Premiere’s engine to generate as many keyframes as needed to auto track an object in your video.

    You don't always have to click between the monitor and the effects panel in order to move frames.
    You can just hover your mouse over the video monitor and use the scroll wheel to move one frame at a time

  • @NA-nf2vt
    @NA-nf2vt 6 лет назад +898

    This is the worst keyframing advice I have ever seen (sorry!). First, clicking on "V3" in the timeline does absolutely nothing for keyframing. It's completely unnecessary. If you followed his instructions without doing this, you would have the exact same results. Second, using arrow keys to keyframe is mindless. It's slow and tedious. All you need to do is: 1) Drag your watermark/whatever onto the sequence. It should already be selected, and already be at frame 1. Drag the time selector to wherever you want to start keyframing. Click on the "effects" tab, and click on the "position" clock, which triggers your keyframe. Now, go to the last frame of the clip you want your watermark to appear, use your mouse to click and drag your watermark to where you want it to be. Boom, keyframed. Go halfway inbetween, drag it to where you want it to be. Then, keep going halfway inbetween all of your keyframes while occasionally dragging the time selector through the clip to see where it's going. All you need to do from there is touch up points in the video where you need to add more keyframes. If you don't keyframe at the end or halfway, then your keyframe is going to stop at your last keyframe. This is why starting from 1st frame, moving a few frames, then adding another one is stupid. If he had jumped 5 seconds ahead instead of 5 frames, his watermark would have already been moving where it needed to go, avoiding the need for so many keyframes. You can also use your scroll wheel to quickly go forward/back in the clip, while dragging your watermark. 100x faster than using arrow keys. Also, "Motion icon" is not a clickable icon. All he did was select the effects tab by doing that. Just overly convoluted advice.

    • @BeausToyFarm
      @BeausToyFarm 5 лет назад

      @Ahmed Shahriar I disagree. You have a choice between using a basic track if that will suffice, as this video teaches you, in Premiere alone...Or if you need total control and accuracy, After Affects is the more appropriate application for this procedure. These days you can even right click on the clip in question on the Premiere timeline and Adobe will bridge it to the After Effects application, the bridge updates realtime between the two applications. Why the need to duplicate features in both applications? Premiere is for editing, AE is for FX... simple!

    • @exiles_dot_tv

      @@BeausToyFarm At this point I really wish they'd just combine the two programs. A lot of the functions After Effects provides are pretty much basic video editing essentials these days.

      I figured out how to do that automatically in Premiere! 🔥. You can track a mask just like it was shown to blur out the face and then use the mask path keyframes to move the motion graphics layer (or any layer for that matter). It also works for rotation and scale. Check out the most recent tutorial on my channel to see how to do it 😊
