I only use after affects for motion graphics and stuff like this, I want to learn much more but I am more of a DP and normal Video Editor. But I have used After Effects for over 10 years now and this is the first time I have ever seen someone talk about all of these tracking techniques you can use with base AE, amazing video! This is why we follow you guys!
My college had only one professor with real world experience and she was too busy making films to teach classes. As a result, theory profs had to teach production and did so so poorly that I was still teaching my classmates the basics of all facets of film prod into the senior year. I only finished college to be the first in my family to do so, but I felt like it was a huge waste of time and money. 4 years to be only a jack of all trades with no ability to master what I wanted to in school and nothing new was learned. I specialize in editing with talent for directing (it helped with teaching my classmates), but am trying to learn after effects to make my editing work smoother.

Also if you don't have access to after effects then you can do the same thing in blender (a free software). I have access to both blender and after effects and I personally prefer blender.
i have a shot of someone walking in front of windows - in the windows I want to show videos. is this possible with blender? (the biggest problem is the man walking in front of those tracked window/displays)

It's incredible that After Effects hasn't changed in two years, which would have negatively affected this tutorial. To be fair, I only followed the first method of motion tracking, and it worked perfectly. My only complaint is that it was maybe a bit too fast for a beginner.👍

My professor at my college copied this lesson, he assigned us to use the exact same assets too.🤦♂️ RUclips is better than college and free.
