Maybe seal that spackled box to make it feel more finished. Water base polyurithane in matte or shiny, which ever you prefer, will take it to the next level AND you'll be able to clean it with a wet cloth. Great projects.
I really like your projects! You should wear gloves and protect the surface though... but I could see myself doing something like the box! The shelf i loved as it was, but turned out great too :)
