YO!!!! Wack!!!! I’ve been watching your videos for like three months before I realized I know you in real life. Keep making the bad ass videos. I’m sure I’ll see you on trail at some point.
Loved the video. I think the laser beam effect is mostly the amount of particulate matter that the sun is traveling through from the horizon and the notch at the end of the valley. Really cool though. A south rim firefall is on my bucket list..unfortunately I always seem to have family or friends visiting us in the park during Presidents’ Day weekend
My first year was 2021, I don't think it was this night, but similar experience. Clouds covered the sun from 40 minutes before to 15 minutes before, and then they cleared and it went from nothing to everything in a second. It was like Horsetail Falls was made of gas, and someone threw in a match. I've always dreamed about going up to the south rim to try and see it, so it's good to know that you can see it from up there! Amazing photos.
I went with a buddy to photograph the falls in 2017 - and man what a s**tshow. My buddy had his tripod set up and once the crowds started arriving, his position was crowded out. Even had somebody try to move his tripod when he left to go to the bathroom. Never again. Great image & videos - keep up the good work.
Your perseverance paid off! Stunning!
I just hiked Halfdome solo the day after they took the cables down. Being out there in person is absolutely breathtaking. Great video!
Just amazing!

That’s so cool. It’s a real high risk high reward type of experience. Thanks for watching
@@yosemite-tv oh yeah. I've been a total of 14 nights to try and see it since (I lead guided trips) and it's only lit up red 3 times.

Yeah the park has done a terrible job managing the valley floor experience.
Thanks for watching
