We just finished closing on our home in Maple Grove today! Amber was absolutely amazing to work with. She’s super down to earth and had great suggestions for everything(we just relocated from Florida). Her and Jesse were helpful in every way and made buying a home in a new state so much easier than we expected it to be. Jesse’s videos helped a ton in finding our new home town!
Thank you so much, Chloe!! We’re so excited that y’all got up here!

Maple Grove is NOT walkable!
Terrific as always! If you are watching this video and thinking about moving to Twin Cities area hit up Jesse and his team. My wife and I are currently working with them and they are making the process very comfortable and as easy as possible.
Would be helpful if you included a map within your footage. For those unfamiliar with the Twin Cities, it’s hard to imagine where these neighborhoods are located. Also, when talking about walkability, are there family-friendly neighborhoods? Where older children could walk to things like art classes and sports? Sounds like it’s only shops and restaurants in Minneapolis.
If you Google each of the neighborhoods, a map will show up. I can say a few of the neighborhoods are very close to each other, Uptown, Lynn-Lake, Lowery Hills East and East Isles are all connected. Also, this video is not an all inclusive video on Minneapolis neighborhoods.
What an amazing video! Congrats!
We love Linden Hills as a walkable neighborhood because the bandshell, the business district and the Coop grocery store is in a walk distance.
Also, for kids, both Lake Harriet lower, upper campus and the Linden Hill Park are also a walk distance.
The lake is very enjoyable in the hole year.
And just one bus to downtown, Southdale center, and from downtown or Southdale center, just one bus/train to the airport or Mall of America.
We don't have cars. We just bike everywhere.
Absolutely love to see comments like this! Thanks so much!!
LOVED this video and these neighborhoods, especially the St Paul side. The historic architecture is BEAUTIFUL! Making me regret our decision to stay in Washington! 😩
I would agree you are, in fact, crushing it! I’ve seen people with half the talent spending way less effort, getting WAY more views. What is happening with the algorithm? Hope you crack the code! Also, hello, Amber! 👋🏼
Glad you enjoyed it! We so appreciate your comment:)
Thank you so so much for this! This information is exactly what I was looking for.
Love to hear that!!
Great video, we are planning to move to MN from another country and all this info is absolutely amazing. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Wow did you make it yet?
I rode by bike the Grand Round back in the day and I took 8 hours at a liesurely pace. You see so many neighborhoods and the lakes too, and the Mississippi along the way.
Such an incredible ride!!
Oh, and l didn't mention you'll ride along the length of Minnehaha creek!
Can u please make a transportation video about how to bus and best parking spots? i always got lost was a huge drawback about moving there. (i checked out your music videos because of ur mention they were amazing! I love the music im so blessed to have found this channel)
Thank you so much!!
Thanks so much for this video Jesse! I was in Minneapolis last year in August, was in Austin in June and Reno in October. Reno is now off the list. That leaves Minneapolis and Austin as my choices for relocation. I’m moving from Los Angeles and have a remote job that allows me to work and live in any city in the U.S. and Minneapolis is high on my list for relocation cities, I had a great time when I went to visit last year in August! Thanks so much for this insightful video on the walkable neighborhoods in Minneapolis!
Make a move yet?
August? Do yourself a favor, com back in January before you put any money down.
Thanks for featuring my lovely west seventh neighborhood, Jesse! Let me know if you plan to do a full in depth video of west seventh and I can give you some cool places to check out. Since you mentioned Asian food in another neighborhood, you should check out tori ramen. Incredible food
Most definitely! Thank you for the recommendation!
Very interested to know more about West Seventh. Looks like a great spot! 😊
Uptown and lake street specifically is a really fun place. Sure, it's a bit weathered to look at, but it's still a great place to be. Hardest part to deal with is if you need street parking in the winter, since it's hard for the plows to navigate the alleys and keep ice from packing down on the streets.
Great job I love watching you
Enjoy your videos. Seriously thinking about moving to the twin cities! I’ll reach out when ready, 🤓
Awesome! Thank you!
Riverside and downtown was my stopping grounds back in the day love uptown and the wedge store in the uptown
Heck yes! We love uptown as well!
Looking forward to my trip to the twin cities next year!
Have fun!
Thanks so much for putting this together. It was extremely informative!
You are so welcome!
Great info! THANKS!!!
Just discovered this channel so still digging through but I hope you have a video for best areas to live on big transit lines 🤗
Hi. Thanks for putting this video together! It is very helpful for someone who has never lived in the twin cities before. Are there any suburbs outside of Minneapolis and St. Paul that you would consider walkable and or bike able? We are specifically hoping to find a community on the eastern side of the twin cities. Thanks!
Uptown seems like a great area to live in! I hope to live there someday
Will be moving to the twin cities very soon, my company I work for here in iowa are working with me to transfer to another location in Saint Paul. Cant wait to call it my new home!
Best of luck!

So are East isles & Uptown safe?am not from Minnesota
Uptown has some crime, but it is typically tied to people who know each other or one or two bars really late at night. I have yet to have any issues living here, personally.
Pretty much everywhere in the Twin Cities is safe.
It's a ghost town compared to how it was.
Oh man, I'm sure you're right, but it doesn't help that most of the streets behind you while you're talking about walkability are like 4-6 traffic lanes wide😢
Just a note about the Hamline-Midway area: I worked in Midway, and it was definitely a sketchier area, being right by the light rail. The homeless population is high. I encountered an incredible amount of individuals on drugs coming into the restaurant where I worked and felt very unsafe almost every single shift.
Can you help people find jobs out there?
Sorry, that’s not something we offer!
MSP has lotsa jobs! Unemployment rate is among the lowest. Even fast food workers make around $20 hour. Come on up!
small correction: when you were talking about downtown east, you mentioned the Orpheum Theater. You meant the Guthrie Theater, one of the highest quality theaters in the nation, with multiple stages and the cantilevered viewing platform over the river. There is an Orpheum Theater as well, but it's on Hennepin, so downtown central (downtown east?). It's also a great venue, with a lot of broadway shows, comedy and solo acts. Mpls. is one of the best towns for live theater in all the U.S.
