Thank You For Demoing this. Not to many RUclipsrs are demoing this. I only hear about the paid upgrade and complaining about how paying for the upgrades suck.
I had the Line6 Pod XTlive last time. i remembered paying for an upgrade, expansion packs, gave me some bass amps as well as metal amps, couldn't really remember after 17 18 years ago. Now everyone wants free stuffs.
Thanks for the demo! I have a Kemper player and the Kemper PowerRack. I bought a Tonex pedal for $75 more instead of upgrading my Kemper Player. Good deal, happy with it. It's a shame the money you have to pay for the Kemper upgrade in my opinion.
Regarding your parallel path inquiry: You have to activate that in the Rig menu, not the output menu, there is a quite detailed video at ruclips.net/video/Cddlbz6GEgA/видео.htmlsi=0ZXBZT0NS3OR_EB4 Also, a really nice parallel feature in the Kemper is hidden behind the DLY+REV Routing knob in the Rig menu - it allows you to blend between delay and reverb being in series (aka normal) and them being in parallel, e.g. reverb only on the dry signal, but not on the delay repeats. (It does only work if the delay is actually in the DLY slot, and the reverb is actually in the REV slot.)
Nice video. I have a Player and did the upgrade LVL III, love the eight blocks, been learning how to "asign" switches. I do not understand one thing. Originally the player came with 10 "Banks" with 5 rigs per Bank for a total of 50 rigs on the player itself. Now there are 625 rigs on 125 "Banks"? Huh? I see the 625 in Rig Manager on the software, but when I'm using the iPhone App is there a way to accsess Bank 102 for example. I still only see 10 Banks. Am I missing something???

Trying to make paid upgrades normal. You are unique in stumping up the cash. Too bad Kemper is off the table. They can get their money from suckers and RUclipsrs. I'll never consider them as a viable purchase. Thank you Kemper for making my choice simpler. Greed always destroys in the end.
You’ll have to explain to me how this paid upgrade is greed. They released the Player with 4 effects slots. The greedy thing to do would be to put a new Player on the market with added functionality, remarket it, and try to sell it to existing Player owners while devaluing the product they already own. This paid upgrade preserves the value that people invested into the unit already and gives expanded functionality to people who want it. It doesn’t in any way change the original Player experience that people expected when purchasing the unit.
Even paying for the upgrades the kemper player is great value. An FM3 from Fractal is considerably more expensive and limited compared to the flagship fractal products. People can GTFO with Tonex. It's a toy in comparison. I sold mine after a month.
I'm so opposed to the very concept that I'm hiding every video about it from my feed to avoid the stress of having to think about this travesty. Pandora's box. Good thing I refuse to go digital. Nobody can make me pay to use my hand wired tube amps, but sure I'm the fool lol I'm literally laughing at all the guys who laughed at my amps.
I guess I just don't see the point in going digital if you already own several amplifiers, pedalboards, cabs, etc. For headphones use, I get it - makes sense. And I'm not talking about a touring musician either - it definitely makes sense for that role. But as an "at home" player - it just seems silly to me to (when I already have pedalboards and amps) to get a Kemper and then buy either monitors or FRFR speakers just for use with the Kemper.
@@wayfaerer320 Exactly, I had no equipment anymore but got offered a gig with a band, had to buy all new gear. just got a line 6 helix because it was easier than sourcing EVERYTHING needed for a live situation.
You don't understand rhe difference between an UPGRADE and an UPDATE. Besides you're a tube amp guy so why you're commenting is weird to begin with. You don't need to upgrade the stock Player, it's fine as is. You have the option if you choose to upgrade and pay. Both options, whether you upgrade or not will continue to receive FREE UPDATES for the next ten years like Kemper have been doing for the last 12 years.
@@guitartoneSA If you have tried to play on stage lately, you’ll know exactly why I’m commenting. Venues wouldn’t dare demand drummers use electronic kits, but you will get your show literally canceled if you bring a twin reverb as a pedal platform or even simply refuse to bring something small to be mic’ed in, berated for not having a cab sim di xlr for the sound guy don’t get me started. And now, you have to buy these digital products twice just to unlock features already built in. It’s just yet more vindication. Does that explain why I have something to say about it? Stages are changing, and not in all ways good. Paying for upgrades you’ve already got, is only the beginning. They’ll milk us for all they can, and you KNOW it.
@@guitartoneSA When you frame this bold new fleecing precedent as same ol’ same ol’ you come off as a shill for kemper. This is a change, and a big one and not just for kemper but the industry as a whole, and you’re just defending your kemper purchase with willful illogic. Charging twice is wrong period end of story.

Thank you for actually reviewing these rather than just complaining like everyone else seems to have done.

Finally, someone upgraded the kemper player and took time to demo it 🎉😹

They need to fix this- the app has a place to choose how many banks to show, but it doesn't actually work yet! Good catch and thanks for watching
yup. paying for more functionality? my money goes to Tonex. big FU to Kemper.
